The Londoner

I wanted to watch the soccer game and enjoy but it was impossible. This place is absolutely disgusting, simply because is full of smokers. It smells like smoke everywhere – cigarette odor everywhere indoors and outdoors. While having dinner and sitting outside I was shocked to see how many people smoke cigarettes. At this stage and age, you would think people are smarter and would give up such a distasteful and harmful habit.
Do you find it as disgusting as I do? If you were in a position of power would you hire a Cigarette smoker to cook your food? Do Cigarette smokers realize how disgusting they smell? If you are pregnant and don’t know it, you are putting your baby at risk because of the idiots that are so inconsiderate and smoking everywhere.
Also, not a safe place for women to hang out either. Men were exposing themselves and urinating in the parking lot. A place full of ignorant/​uneducated people who think smoking is still cool. How frustrating that Addison doesn’t have a non-​smoking ordinance.

Good place, nice patio, good prices. Soccer on TV. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars– no waitress ever asked to help us on the patio. Self-​served the whole time.

The service at this pub was extremely awful. I attempted to order beers for my party of 5 at the bar and all of the female bartenders ignored me. I tried to order beers for at least 20 minutes with any success. As soon as a man in my party attempted to order beers he was acknowledged within minutes. Extremely sexist. And when we were leaving the bouncers had the audacity to ask why we didn’t leave a tip. NEVER COMING TO THIS BAR AGAIN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY!!!

I absolutely love this place! I would recommend this place to anyone. The food is great, whether it’s their breakfast or any other time of the day. Their drinks are amazing, and their bartenders are very friendly. I definitely recommend sitting at the bar rather than at a table because the waitresses are not very attentive. Even so, I would still recommend this great establishment! :)

We came here last evening as a a Rugby meetup to watch some film and have a few beers. The servers were very good and we didn’t once have to go to the bar to get a beer as they brought us out without an issue. I didn’t order any food but the rest of my guys had everything from salmon salad to some wings and not a single scrap was left on their plates. (Besides the bones) I would definitely come back to enjoy their hospitality and true English/​European beer selections.

After a long day at work the Londoner is a great place to stop in and have a beer and some pub food. I usually make it in time for the late night menu (the kitchen closes at midnight). The food is decent and the beer is fabulous! If you can get Maggie as your server you will have nothing to worry about! She knows what’s good and always has the best recommendations! Londoner loses a star because sometimes you don’t get Maggie. Sometimes you just spend hours waiting… and waiting for your server.

I’m a very forgiving person but this place has been awful both times I’ve been. 2 different servers and each time the service was essentially non existent. I want to find something nice to say about the place… Maybe… It… Kinda… Makes you feel like your in London, like a really shitty place in London where the service is terrible and they deliver your tables drinks 20 minutes after they’ve been ordered and where they don’t refill your drinks for the entire hour you were there.
This place is so bad I can’t even come up with anything witty to say in this review. Tips to management, I can help you improve your service by 100% by holding a team meeting and telling your staff 1 thing «hey guys, just act like you care»
This was supposed to be the after work spot the office goes to on Fridays but I think I’d rather have a cigarette put out on my pee hole than go to the Londoner again.

This isn’t my side of town, but I met a friend who was staying at a nearby hotel for lunch at The Londoner. I get the feeling that this is probably a great place to stop by after work, or to watch a football (or soccer, whatever floats your boat) game, because it was almost completely empty when we were there. In fact, the only people I saw were the employees.
When we walked in the door there was no one to greet us, so we pretty much seated ourselves. Someone saw us when we finally found a place — no easy task, because there seem to be several rooms to choose from, including a patio — and welcomed us. I could be wrong, but I believe that he was the host, server, and manager all in one. I don’t envy his workload, although if it’s that empty all the time, maybe the job is pretty slack.
The table was slightly sticky. I have no idea why, or what that was about, but it was kind of weird.
The food is exactly what you would expect — pub food. One standout was a cheese platter, and I can’t resist a cheese platter. The cheese selection wasn’t the greatest, but the choices they had were solid. The three stars are pretty much for this cheese platter, which had nuts, fresh fruit, and three different cheeses.
I wouldn’t make a big effort to go back, but I wouldn’t avoid it either.

Love this place. The food was fantastic and authentic. Large portions for a reasonable price. Only downside is the smoking inside. Other than that, great place! Will be visiting frequently!

Came here for a business lunch today, and ordered the fish and chips, which were pedestrian at best, nothing to write home about. Love the vibe of the dark wood pub inside, a nice place to eat/​drink with friends or coworkers.

I came on a Wednesday at 2pm on vacation for a couple beers. The bartender was great; personable, but not overbearing. This is probably the most legitimate pub feel you can get in north Dallas. The beer selection (and whiskey) is great! While it’s not the largest selection around, what they do carry is well thought out.
I can’t speak to the food (because I didn’t eat), but the atmosphere is solid and the pricing is VERY good on draft beer. I’ll surely be back!

Sad to see the 3 stars. We didn’t have lunch here, but we met a few friends for drinks. The staff were all really great. The bartender answered every crazy question that I had about traditional practices in the UK and never skipped a beat. The space is very welcoming and the patio is an absolute charm. I loved the décor of the place, including the authentic red telephone booth!

My best friend and I have been visiting the Londoner in Addison for the past 6 years, at least twice a month during premier league season, to watch Arsenal. We’re used to being there on big match days and with big crowds. However, we have never experienced the absolutely AWFUL service that we did this past Sunday.
We ordered our drinks shortly after arriving. Fifteen minutes later they were delivered. NEVER were we asked if we wanted food or given a food menu. After seeing other tables all around us being given menus we finally grabbed our server as she happened to walk by and told her we wanted food. She took or order and then completely disappeared for close to an hour.
Every other table around us, including ones that had arrived and ordered after us, received their food. They also received refills and additional drinks and were checked on by said server. NOT once did she ask if we were doing okay or if we need additional drinks. Finally, when there were maybe 15 minutes left in the match she stopped as she walked past our table, looked over her shoulder at us and casually threw out that our order was the next one up to be prepared. At that point I told her to cancel the order as the match was nearly over and we no longer needed the food.
Ironically, at this point, about five minutes later she stopped and asked if we were okay. I literally turned to my friend and asked, thinking surely I misheard her, «did she really just ask if we were okay?» A little late to ask that when you have totally ignored a table while fawning all over the tables of men around us.
Needless to say, we left exact change for her on top of our bill. And it will be a VERY long time before we return here. Better to watch The Arsenal from home on the telly then give our money where it obviously is not valued.

I got the spinach and goat cheese salad which was amazing and the fries with curry.
Super friendly service in the dining area and the rhubarb pimms cup was awesome
My only star deduction is for the fact that they allow smoking throughout. It’s difficult to enjoy food when your neighbor is a chimney.

Cool atmosphere. Great service and friendly at the bar. Didnt eat food but it wa offered. A lot of smile arounf so my guess is it is good.
A lot of bottled liquor on the wall, more than ypu see in most places. Some nice tvs and a cool place to hang out. Hotels close but that are in walking distance.

Food was excellent! Three stars because servers are completely neglecting guests, not very attentive, and I guess they don’t really want to work. Nice bar, good place to hang out.

I have been here once on a quaint sunny afternoon for some classic fish and chips. This place looks like an authentic London dive. The layout and décor is very cute. I opted to sit outside because the weather was getting pretty decent. I ordered the fish and chips because I love them and also would be a great way to gauge a truly British establishment by the quality of their fish and chips right?! The cod was crisp and the meat was thick… man it was amazing. The fries were crispy (as should all fries be)! This place will definitely be seeing me again sometime soon! Going to try everything on the menu!

It’s a comfortable place to have a brew. Good selection of local and international drafts and bottles. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the product.
Prices are reasonable. Everything is $ 1 off on Monday.
Smoke if you got ‘em.

I don’t know if I should rate a pub on the quality of their fish and chips alone, but it was pretty good. Would definitely return.
