Didn’t have the greatest experience our first time around due to some crazy circumstances with Snoop Dogg being in town, but they saw that we werent happy and were very accomadating to us the 2nd time around. Both of the bartenders, Sunny and Mike were very friendly and took great care of us! Definitely coming back soon! Thanks guys

Aaron, the owner, cares a lot and makes an effort to greet all the patrons. The food is excellent and they have some fun drinks(try the Flaming Green Fairy) that are as much fun to watch the bartender prepare as it is to drink.

Our first visit here was great. Love the cocktails and the food. Very interesting drinks. We liked it so much we brought some friends back a few weeks later. This time the band was playing and it was just too loud and cramped to enjoy conversation or the band. We will be back again but maybe we will eat earlier and enjoy the band after. I would almost rather see just a double base and singer. Singing sentimental oldies in a subtle sound. The venue is too small for the speakers it uses. I don’t think the band even needs speakers.

Loved this place. One of the best steakhouses I have been to. The meat was very tender and just perfection. The owner was so welcoming and funny(never hurts to have a good laugh). Great ambiance!!! Will definitely come back and j highly recommend this place.

I’ll give them one thing. The food and drinks are delicious. But their service is atrocious. We were a simple group of 4. Placed our orders, which came out one by one. No one got anything at the same time. They forgot parts of our orders so some of us had to reorder. And with no apology whatsoever, the waitress even seemed annoyed about it. The organization is terrible, waiters and waitresses walking around table to table asking«anyone order this?» And try the next table. No one there really seemed to know what they were doing. And the owner, rude and disgusting. Everything was a sexual comment. And was nothing but rude when told we didn’t appreciate his immature comments. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Came just after the love music… Calm atmosphere. Knowledgable bartenders and mixologists. Great suggestions for someone who doesn’t know what they want. Good conversations and Manager was a really cool dude. Kept me and my three friend well entertained and having a good time!

Do not go there to eat! The website has beautiful photos of dishes which are not on the menu and the chef does not know how to cook. They do not use seasoning and the pasta dish I had was wet and completely overlooked. The sauce was runny and flavorless. My mom had the fish burger which was ok but the chipotle mayonnaise was so strong it made it impossible to taste anything afterwards. Tart Tatin was a raw slice of apple pie on a sizzling iron platter, this caused the pie and the icecream to burn onto the dish making it unappetizing as one had to prise it off the plate. The one redeeming feature was our charming waitress who’s first night it was. Also why valet parking for the whole area a long distance from the door when it’s a parking lot half empty? I should have also mentioned that a restaurant with only 3 other customers at 6:30 on a Friday night is never a good sign. Unfortunately the owner seems to be rude and up himself as seen by his replies. Clearly he has too much time on his hands. Luckily for us locals, this establishment will not last long unless it changes management and chef.

Well the food is excellent. Really delicious. That’s one. It’s a really ambitious place with the cool ambiance, music and food and drinks. It would be great if they added a seafood option to their burger list so there was a substantive non meat, casual, protein based option. A couple more apps. The burgers look drool worthy. We had the scallops which were divine. You can tell the food is made with care. Very interesting, broad selection of well thought out drinks. I love the staff– very funny, nice, attentive and versed in their products. They have live entertainment! Yeah! :) It’s a 4⁄5. For the area, it’s a delightful add to the local repertoire — spatially it’s a funny room and has a criss cross feel of mall versus speakeasy. Might be where we sat. I think the owner is doing a fabulous job of making it an awesome place to visit. Really hope this one makes it over the long run, be nice to see how it can continue to develop. Fun spot. Visit!

This is my new favorite bar in WLV! Sonny was a true artist behind the bar, the drinks were exceptional. When I travel to the West Coast I usually like to go to the library bar at the Roosevelt to get my fix for original mixology drinks but I no longer need to go all the way downtown. I also had the calamari which was great. I will be frequenting this bar and highly recommend it.

Revolution speakeasy is by far the most unique establishment in the area! The food is unique and pulls in different cultural aspects of high end cuisine and the drinks are crafted with thought and customizable care. The live music is awesome and brings a level of excitement to the atmosphere! The staff is incredibly personable and you can tell how much the owner cares for his business! I loved it so much I asked for a job here!

I was there on the evening that was a complete debacle. We were more than patient and nice. The waitress as sweet as she was had no idea what any of the food tasted like and could only recommend the hamburger as you can’t go wrong with those. The bus boy couldn’t figure out how much water to bring us. Aside from that we patiently waited, without saying a word for two hours for our food. When we did finally say something, we were yelled at and made to believe it was our fault. The question I pose is, why would you make the waitress pay for our food(which we didn’t receive so I cannot comment on the quality) when you the owner are responsible for making sure things are running effectively? We did leave money to cover the items we consumed because we didn’t want the waitress to be charged. I think that speaks for our experience and hopefully she finds a new job somewhere better. The band they had playing was good. Either way, we went to Ladyface(which I highly recommend, I’ve been there twice without a problem) down the street and received our food within 15 minutes of ordering and all in all we had the best worst restaurant experience ever because of this place! Perhaps on another night you might have a better experience. Good luck! I stand by my review and it is backed up by the personal attacks, insults and threats by the owner below. You go there and things are good your experience may be good. You go there and have a bad experience, it’s all your fault and your are harassed, insulted an threatened for leaving an honest review of your experience. Unfortunately, being bullied isn’t going to get me to change my review.

Ugh. Here’s the thing. My family owned several restaurants when I was a kid so I grew up learning the business and how incredibly difficult running a restaurant can be. I completely understand the challenges in serving the public and how tough it is. I also understand how important Unilocal reviews are for local businesses, and how they can help or hurt a business, so I take writing reviews on Unilocal very seriously by being honest and fair. That being said, our experience at this joint was eye-opening to say the least. We had a group of 9 celebrating a birthday for a friend. Waitress took our drink order and was friendly but it took almost half an hour to get our drinks, which came out one at a time. Drinks were well made and very good. We ordered entrees and got our appetizers, which were also well prepared and tasty, but they came out one at a time as well. There was a party of 8 sitting right behind us, who had been waiting a very long time for their entrees too. They actually applauded when their last entrée finally arrived. After waiting an hour and a half for our entrees, we asked the waitress what was going on and she apologized but it was clear she was overwhelmed. 3 of our 9 entrees finally appeared, which were burgers, but they were cold. Really? That’s got to be one of the only ways you can screw up a burger. Ugh. They were understaffed, inexperienced and very slow, but the main issue was the manner in which the owner finally dealt with us. Our guest of honor was pretty agitated and when he approached him, the conversation got heated and confrontational. The other entrees never arrived and we wound up leaving the 3 cold burgers at the table. After we left, one of the guests in our party left a review on Unilocal and we immediately heard back from the owner who claimed we walked out on a $ 500 tab. Seriously dude? Come on man. 6 of the 9 entrees were never delivered and the 3 entrees that were delivered after a 2 hour wait were ice cold. What did you think you were gonna get? Hugs and high fives? We were offended by the deplorably slow service and the owner’s asinine behavior so we left. Here’s the bottom line: You earned this review with your juvenile behavior after the incident actually happened. If you screw something up in the restaurant business, own up to it and own up to it immediately. Don’t blame it on your inexperienced wait staff, or the line cooks, or the weather, or your sore pinky. And don’t blame the customer for your screw up. You own the place, you get all the credit when things go right, and all the blame when things go wrong. Don’t punk out and blame the customer when you fail. Man up and make it right. That way, you don’t have angry customers ripping you on Unilocal

Hmmmmm… wish we could give high ratings but just can’t. Arrived on time for a reservation we made through Unilocal and it was clear they didn’t know we were coming. Luckily they had a table so we sat immediately. Took forever for a server to acknowledge us, and that was only after I flagged someone down. Cocktails were delivered one at a time over several minutes, and were just ok. We had finished our apps and no one still had come back to take our dinner order. We packed up and went next door for a delicious meal with great service. 2 stars because the apps were good, but that’s about it.

Love this place. The food is hands down delicious and crafted with perfection. The drinks are off the chain amazing … They have absinth! The owner is a badass awesome hearted guy, and really cares about his guests. And the live music nights mixed with the lighting and ambiance make this place such a special spot… You don’t even know about yet.

My in-laws raved about this place for months. Boy am I glad that I finally came here. It’s a great place to take in the atmosphere and enjoy the artfully crafted coctails, nice variety of draft and bottled beers, and delicious appetizers. Great happy hour as well. Protip: talk to the owners. Great stories. Can’t wait to come again.

I have high hopes for Revolution… I think it’ll be a great spot once they get settled in, but they’re not quite there yet. I’d been wanting to try it since they opened, and finally made it there on Saturday for an early dinner(around 5:00). It’s empty, so we’re seated right away, and brought hot popovers to eat. The interior is great – cozy and dark, with a TV over the bar playing black and white silent films, throwback music, and comfortable seating. The bar looks well-stocked. The menu with some good-looking options, though the prices are high. The back of the menu has a variety of cocktails; I’m tempted by several and ask our server for a recommendation. He explains he’s new, so he’s not sure, so I choose the St. Louis Julep(whiskey, gin, grenadine, lemon and lime juice, sparkling water) and my husband orders an old fashioned. The old fashioned comes first, and it’s delicious. My drink, though, is undrinkable. It tastes like soda water and lemon juice. I feel bad sending it back, since the guy is brand new, but I’m also not interested in paying $ 14 for terrible drink, so I do… and ask for an old fashioned. Meanwhile, another employee has arrived and is hanging around the bar. After a few minutes, he comes by the table, apologizes about the drink, asks me what sorts of things I like, and tells me he’ll whip something up for me. He does, and it’s totally delicious. An Eastside, with gin, lime, and simple muddled with cucumber and mint, served in a martini glass. Perfectly balanced, really well made. Our food comes, and it’s okay, but not exceptional, and so expensive! Deviled eggs are $ 12 for three halves. That’s four bucks per egg half. Seems excessive. My veggie burger is fine, and fries have fresh dill, which is tasty. My husband ordered the meatballs, which are quite flavorful, but served with spaghetti, not the bucatini that’s advertised on the menu(and everyone knows bucatini is so much more fun to eat!). The po’boy is not a po’boy, just a pulled pork(or beef? can’t remember) sandwich on a brioche bun. The sauce is smokey and not too sweet, but $ 18 is just ridiculous. I could go to Mendocino Farms and get a tastier, quality sandwich for half the price. The food prices are just unwarranted. We order another round of cocktails, which are fantastic – the good, handcrafted sorts of drinks that you can’t find without driving to LA, and delivered to us by the bartender. And then he tells us. .. it’s his last day. No! Say it ain’t so! I was so excited to finally have a place nearby to get real cocktails(the kind that can’t be made in 30 seconds, served by bartenders who can whip up something delicious that you’ve never heard of or tried before, based on your preferences). I’ll definitely be back to give Revolution another go, but I’ll probably arrive much later in the evening, skip the food, and stick to the cocktails next time. Just hoping they get a solid replacement for the bartender!
