Seriously my favorite place to eat when I come to the mall. I eat sushi at least once a week and this place is just awesome. I usually get the spicy ahi tar tar which is my personal favorite. I think anything spicy ahi here is great. I would give them 5 stars but they are stingy with the shoyu and wasabi, if you want extra they charge you an additional .10/per. Still my favorite place to eat spicy ahi though.

I’d rate their food 5 but workers and customer service .1. Honestly I say my order correctly and its repeated to me after I place it and then I pay and yet it still come out fckd up and wrong!!! Two days In a row they messed up my orders and its starting to seem like its being done on purpose!!! An older Filipino guy knows who I am and I always see his staring at me in a different unwelcoming way and my boyfriend and I believe he messes up my orders purposely!!! Step it up because your food is bomb but your workers are a bunch of unwelcoming people!

The sushi here is okay, but I wouldn’t recommend the poke bowls; not a fan favorite my me or my friends. The miso soup is good though!

Out of all the spicy ahi’s I tried, their spicy ahi don super iwa the best one I’ve ever tried! I would give this place 5 star, but the girl that took my order was being bitchy when I visited this place the last time. So they really need to step up on their customer service.

Poor unfriendly counter service, my fiancé was asking a couple questions and he was so short with his answers. Food was decent and price was reasonable but service could have been way nicer. I don’t think we’re asking for much with more than a 4 word response and a smile after paying.

I have been coming here for sushi here and there ever since back when it opened years ago. It is conveniently located in the Pearlridge Shopping Center downtown side closer to that one corner where it has Hot Topic/Burger King/Cold Stone Ice Cream/etc. They have a great assortment of sushi. The customer service is good. The prices are pretty good too. I noticed they haven’t changed their prices too much over the years which is good. I always like to get the cheap hand rolls like the tuna and/or egg one. I always like to get the maki sets whether it is california maki set or the lunch box set. Recently, they also have bowl kine sets too. It is all pretty fulfilling and decently priced. They have a great assortment of sushi platters as well for order that is perfect for parties and stuff. It is good for potlucks. Kozo sushi adds another diverse element to the places to eat at the Pearlridge downtown area.

On the go or on the need of a quick snack. It’s a great place to be. Ambiance Parking: * Came here on a mid-day Friday and parking was obtainable. Depending on the day or occasion, you really shouldn’t have any trouble finding parking. Seating: * No seating inside the shop but there are plenty of seats around the mall. Feels: * Just your everyday fast food vibe. Order your food and go. You’ll be surrounded by multiple eateries, it’s just a matter of what you’re craving will lead you to your choice. The sample products displayed is pretty cool, that’s what hooked me on the musubi. Food: Super Spam Musubi(Recommend) * Simple elements of your musubi wrap: spam and rice singly wrapped in one strip of seaweed. However what surprised me was the bacon and scrambled egg. Simple elements that can make an awesome difference. Kudos for creativity. Not the best but a quick cheap and on the go bite. Customer Service: Pretty standard. We were treated with respect and our orders arrived appropriately on time. Overall: 3 stars. Nothing amazing but something cheap and quick. If you’re on the go and looking for some sushi rolls. This would be the right spot for you. TL;DR Tips: * A nice hidden gem. Recommended for those who are not really into hyped up places.

Food is good but service is horrible on new years Eve I came in wanting to get a ahi bowl and the young girls were really rude saying were only doing takeout and started acting all tap watching when j see them out of work!

I work across the way & eat here often. I have mixed feelings picking out sushi. Pupu’s from Food land is as classy as I’ve eatten but here it goes. Absolutely love the Dragon Don. Here’s the mixed feelings sometimes the shrimp tempura is hot and sometimes cold… this is covered in spicy ahi and some sause which is amazing but I prefer the shrimp hot… More than a few times I’ve tried a different hand roll of some sort, a maki, or a Don buri and this would turn my insides sick. I now know to stick to what I always get. Service is ok. I ask questions and get answers. I always ask for no ginger sometimes I get it in my order sometimes I dont. Wait time varys but prices are descent. Tiny location inside the mall. There’s still home that they will become more consistent all around.

If my wife never suggested this place, I’d have never given it a second glance. It’s a small shop with SOMANY selections of sushi and rolls. She always gets the«Tuna Roll» and it’s so inexpensive. You can find them at the Pearl City Wal-Mart parking lot next to Starbucks and a Mexican restaurant. Also I know of one inside the downtown Pearl Ridge mall. Go to the aisle across from the theaters and tram stop downstairs. It’s before the Seattle’s Best coffee shop and at the end on the LEFT next to Burger King. Next time there, skip the chain junk-food Burger King, which is way over priced for a very simple burger, which isn’t good for you including a soda and fries. Opt for the FRESHLY MADE-to-Order sushi/roll. It’s not too expensive, though hey, they have to pay the wonderful friendly staff and rent, along with getting the best seafood. If you happen to like my review, please select a button below so I know I helped someone make the right choice for lunch or get a large party/family platter. They make them too! –Joe

Ordered the Hurricane sushi and complained the seaweed had too much moisture that made it like rubber. It was resolved by being ignored. Last time my family is coming here.

The food is good. Decently priced. Quick service but they need to clean up the front of the house. The cashier seemed bothered with the line of 3 customers and thought instead of calling out when your order is ready she just waited for you to walk up to the counter and ask.

I have been craving a maki roll from here for weeks! Finally had time to go with my auntie yesterday and we got the dynamite roll. It’s sooo good for the price! Filling and affordable! They make your sushi as it’s ordered so you have to wait a while when there’s a long line but I think it’s worth it for a quick sushi fix. I’ve only tried the dynamite and tsunami roll and I recommend both! Only con is that it’s a take out place so you have to kinda shark for a mall table sometimes.

Are you kidding me?! Kozo is my absolute favorite sushi whenever I’m home in the islands. I still love their wrapping and that it keeps the nori separate from the rice so it doesn’t soften and make it hard to bite through. So ‘ono! Everything!

I give this place 3⁄5 stars but only because of their service. FOOD: I have been a loyal customer of Kozo Sushi ever since I can remember. It’s cheap, «take-out» sushi BUT done well for what it is! I love the sushi rolls when I need to be on the go! My favorite rolls are the spicy ahi and unagi! YUM and cheap! I also love all the new, creative maki rolls! I don’t really have a favorite one so far. GETTHEMALL. My favorite set, though, is the ahi lover set. You get four ahi nigiri and four spicy ahi nigiri; pretty good quality for take-out sushi and yummy yummy yummy! I have never had a complaint. You get good sushi for a cheap price! AMBIANCE: This category is kind of N/A, since there is no seating and it’s just take-out. Still, it’s nice that they have«fake» sushi behind a glass to show you what you will be getting and what size the dishes are! Considerate and helpful! SERVICE: This has been great with one MAJOR exception that still leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Since there is no seating available, you kind of have to grab the limited seats at the mall when they are available(which can be quite difficult, since there is so little seating available). I went to the mall with my boyfriend one day for lunch, and we were lucky enough to spot some seating right when we got there. I decided that I would go in line to buy both of our lunches while he(literally) ran to snag the seating, and then he would pay me back later. The bad service comes in when I get in the front of the line to order. I want to preface this with the fact that, despite being born in Hawaii, I am a full-blooded Ilokano, and I can understand Ilokano almost fluently. The cashier AND the sushi chefs in the back were openly insulting my boyfriend and I in Ilokano… right in front of me! They were teasing me about having to pay for my boyfriend and insulting him as a boyfriend. I was so shocked and thought they would stop after a few wise cracks, but they CONTINUED to laugh at me and him until I got my order. How rude! Kozo Sushi, please train your staff to respect the customers and refrain from making fun of them. It’s not right, esp since they had no idea what was going on. I know I could have said something politely, but I was just too shocked to think it through. OVERALL: I love coming here for quick sushi, but I will never forget being insulted by the staff. Still, I will be a loyal customer, because food is important. Lol.

Kozo Sushi is located inside Pearlridge«downtown» across from Hot Topic. It’s a small take out sushi place with your average suspects on the menu. I frequent this location for the crab and egg maki. I’ve tried it from other places… but I swear, it just tastes better here! I’ve always received fast and friendly service. I thought the tip jar was cute… lol Recommended if you want a fast and affordable sushi fix!

Basic fast food sushi spot. Lots of different rolls to choose from that come in a plastic bento box. I ordered the lunch box for $ 6.25. Although I eat quite a bit of sushi, I haven’t made the effort to learn about all the different types. Needless to say this had quite a bit of variety, sashimi and rolls. It was a great deal for the price. I had my order in about 5 minutes. There really isn’t a place to sit though except two tables out in the mall which were occupied. It’s a good place to grab food on your way out of the mall. I’d be willing to order their party tray based on their really low price. Seemed a lot cheaper than Ninja Sushi, although I love their stuff.

I’ve never been to this place before even though I visit Pearlridge often. When I pased by today, they had a poster for a new item called the«huricane maki» so I decided to try it. It was $ 7.25. It was actually really good. I like how the toppings provided a crispness to it. With the soy sauce, it was good. The shrimp was also tasty. A lot of times, shrimp in sushi tends to be bland. The only negative that I saw was that the cahier at the counter seemed uninterested in being there. It really dulled the mood.

It’s cheap sushi. Cheap fast-food sushi. But did I mention(for us mainlanders) that it’s in HAWAII? That means that the cheap fast food sushi is not only *really* cheap, it’s actually edible. Make no mistake, it’s almost razor thin fish, it’s not very good by any real standard… but at something like $ 0.60 a piece, what are you expecting?

The Egg Maki is the perfect dinner complement, the best potluck idea, and perfect pre-movie lunch. Kozo has always been the ‘convenient’ sushi spot — a perfectly Hawaii restaurant/sushi bar concept. The Egg maki here hasn’t changed in at least 15 years… and I love it still to this day. The sweet tamago wrapped around the familiar California roll filling makes for a sweet, savory combination that really makes my heart sing. Kozo has a awesome product that should float it along for the next 15. Awesome!
