The setup of this location is the exact same setup as the Ala Moana location. They have the skincare section in the back of the store, cash wrap in the middle, and the cosmetics in the front section of the store. I’m always at the Ala Moana store because I live in town. I’ll venture out here if the item I’m looking for is sold out. I find that the associates at this store are more laid back and friendly than the ones at Ala Moana. Over here, they’re helpful but not looking over your shoulder at every turn. You can roam the store and try out the testers. I’ve always had excellent customer service at this location. I had ordered some products online. I got a text that my package was delivered but I never received it. I was at Pearlridge later that day, so I went into the store and informed the associate. She asked me for my order number to see what I purchased. She then called the customer service hotline and told them what happened. I got the replacements in the mail a week later and it was a substantial order. I got free shipping. Either the store just ate it or they had insurance on it. Some of my favorite brands that they carry are Urban Decay, Too Faced, Kat Von D, Marc Jacobs, Nars, Bite, Tarte, Smashbox, and Hourglass.

I was matched today and everyone was nice. I haven’t been matched in years, so I was extremely happy that my foundation color did not change. Robyn was the sweetest. Thank you so much, Robyn!

Every time I walk into this Sephora I don’t get greeted & when I walk around the store out of the five times since we moved to the island that I’ve walked in there I’ve only received help once. I’ve had to return items twice & they never give cash back, only store credit. They seem to always be sold out of the most popular items. Overall their customer service needs work.

Just stopped in to get my girlfriend a Christmas gift the week before Christmas(bad planning, I know) and I was in there for a good five minutes struggling to figure out where to find things when I was approached by a young female with a red stripe in her hair by the name of Maka(I think was her name?). She was excellent help and I was able to make a very well-informed decision on what to purchase as opposed to my usual style of «eh, close enough» shopping. Haha. Much mahalos to the Sephora crew at this location!

I went here to exchange a makeup brush I got from the Ala Moana location for a different one. I had used a 20% off VIB coupon on my original purchase. When I went to the register, this flamboyant male employee wasn’t sure how to handle the exchange because I had used a coupon. So he calls a manager and she takes my receipt to the back I guess to consult with someone else. She returns and tells the guy what to do. He tells me that they can only credit me back the amount I paid for the brush as store credit or put it back on my credit card. Then I would have to buy the new brush without the 20% off discount because the coupon was only good for one-time use. This made no sense to me because they should be able to just credit me back the difference(the new brush I wanted was $ 2 less than the first brush). Most stores I’ve been to were able to do something like this, so why not Sephora? It’s not as if losing $ 2 would force them into bankruptcy. So I tell him that I will just return the first brush and that I wasn’t going to buy the new one. He says okay. But after he processes the return, he starts the transaction for the new brush. I tell him no I’m not going to get it. He rudely says«SOWE’REDONEHERETHEN?!» with his high nose-I’m better than you attitude and huge glasses. I say yes and he hands me my receipts in a sassy way. I will never go to this Sephora location ever again and I highly urge you all to avoid this one too unless you enjoy being mistreated! I will stick to Sephora Ala Moana from now on because the employees at the registers there are always nice and helpful. To the employees at Sephora Pearlridge… lose the attitude and focus on learning customer service skills!!!

Who spends more money on makeup than me? I have yet to meet anyone… This place just lost a good, loyal customer. This Sephora has BADCUSTOMERSERVICE and SUPERRUDE associates. My experience from yesterday wasn’t the only time I’ve experienced rude associates here but this is the only time I’ve really felt compelled to share it. So, yesterday, I realized I lost my beloved Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow and brush/spooley so I had to make a quick run to the nearest Sephora to pick up another. I came here rushing because I had to go home and get ready to be somewhere so I was literally speed walking through Sephora and went straight to the Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics’ section. There was a Sephora associate standing right next to where I had to go by the way but I don’t really talk to them unless I want a sample because people here act like you’re bothering them when you need help… but anyways, I saw the Dipbrow samples on the shelf but couldn’t find where the actual ones that were for sale were so my immediate reaction was to look underneath for maybe a drawer that they keep extra ones in? I kneeled down to open the drawer… WRONGMOVE. The Sephora associate standing next to me had the nerve to PUTHERFOOTINFRONTOFMYFACE to keep me from opening the drawer. I was shocked and said, «excuse me?» She says, «may I help you?» in the rudest manner EVER. She was an older woman, and sounded like an older, mean teacher talking to a second grader or something… I told her what I was looking for and she says, «they’re all up here behind the samples.» They are pretty much hidden behind the samples, and me being short as I am at 4’11, I definitely couldn’t see where they were. I got up, looked for my shade and then started looking for the brushes. I started checking out the brushes that were on display just feeling the bristles and she says, «Those don’t come off. They’re glued down,» with an attitude and hands me one in the package. I’m thinking the entire time, «why is this lady still talking to me.?» I stood there for maybe another 30 seconds checking out other products in that area and this lady I guess was so annoyed at the fact I tried to open the drawer says to me, «These drawers down here are NOT for you, they’re for US. This is NOT Victoria’s Secret. You don’t just open drawers.» …Are. You. Serious? I’m thinking, «Is this lady really scolding me???» I said, «I’ll remember that next time I’m at the Sephora in Ala Moana,» and I went to the register and paid. As I was walking out, I noticed she was staring me down. If my mom didn’t raise me better, I would’ve walked out flicking her off. BYEFELICIA. Never coming back to this Sephora again!

Haven’t stepped into a Sephora in about 4 years, so this visit was a real treat. After browsing around for 5 mins, I was approached by Tara. She asked if I was doing okay, so I asked her for a make-up wipe since I had swatched the heck out of eye shadow primers. I should have known to just stick to Urban Decay’s Original formula, but hey, everything in here is eye candy so I sampled away. Then I came across the Tarte Cosmetics corner. OMG! I was so thrilled to see this brand here. I’ve been ordering online from them for about a year and am always hesitant on choosing a cheek color. Well, I was able to test them out and ended up with«Flawless» since Tara mentioned she personally uses that color, too! At the register, the young gentleman that helped me found that I had two rewards accounts. He ended up merging both and updated my email address. Cool! MAC cosmetics store is just 10 steps away, but never had the inkling to divert. Sephora rocks! I’ll be back more often!

I like coming here on my lunch breaks, it makes me happy to try on products without the constant supervision and pushy salespeople. Sephora is located in the Macy’s side of Pearlridge, upstairs by the escalators. There is always cheerful music playing and it’s very clean. The workers are always pleasant and attentive. I’m glad Sephora has their own lines of makeup, they are pretty good. There is a wide variety of brands for your personal hygiene and beauty. You can walk in a plain Jane and walk out an awesome smelling rockstar. If you spend $ 50 on makeup, you can get a free makeover too. I also like the points program. Every dollar you spend gets a point that you can use for a free gift. They also give you a present on your birthday. The lipsticks they gave this year was great and super convenient when I went to Las Vegas. Every item you buy is wrapped in red tissue and given in a cute striped bag. I feel special when I walk out of here.

I am not what you call a «girly girl» at all. I don’t wear make up. I usually don’t «do» my hair. I like to keep things simple and as easy as possible. I do however, like to feel pretty from time to time. My girlfriends are always so well put together and made up when we go out for a night on the town and I always seem like the plain blah one and envy starts to rear it’s ugly head. I’ve attempted to do my make up on my own, but I don’t know what the hell I’m doing so I end up looking like Bozo or the creepy looking Asian lady from the«Grudge». So I call two places at the recommendation of a fellow Unilocal friend for make up consultation. First I called Sephora and the girl was some what rude and short with me and told me they were booked for a Saturday night(of course, it’s prom season!) Then I called MAC and she was kind of short as well and informed me that a session would be $ 70! With no freebies(as in make up samples)! No thanks. I gave up after those two phone calls and decided I didn’t care about looking like the plain one. A few days later, I had a change of heart and called Sephora back only because I saw a fellow Unilocaler(who I think is pretty stylish and cool) check in. After reading his(yes I said his, Sephora is for guys too!) review and tips, I made the decision it was worth a shot. The girl who answered this time was a little bit nicer than the first and was able to fit me in at a good time for my schedule. When I got there earlier than my appointment time, I was greeted immediately and I was brought to a girl for a «face prep»(just a quickie face wash!) During my «face prep» Heather, the girl that did my make up approached me and introduced herself. She asked me questions as far as what«look» I was going for and gave me tips along the way. She was very nice and helpful, and she didn’t make me look ridiculous or over done. More importantly, she wasn’t pushy about selling me products and gave me several samples to take home. I was there for about an hour which includes the face prep, make up application, and check out. For a custom consultation, which is what I received, you’re required to spend at least $ 50 on whatever you want. That’s not bad considering I got a ton of samples and when I called MAC, it was $ 70 for the consultation only without any products. There’s a good variety of high quality products to choose from and the employees are willing to help you decide which ones are best for you. They have a VIB program which is free and helps you accumulate points towards freebies. If they don’t have a product in stock, they can order it for you and have it shipped to your house for free. They are located on the second floor of Pearl Ridge Up town next to MAC and across from Victoria’s Secret. The only reason I’m docking a star is because I wish the make up consultation wasn’t out in the open. I don’t like being watched by passers by like a dog in the pet shop window. Also, the first time I called, the girl was some what rude. Other than that, I love Sephora! My husband can now have something else to complain about since I’ve found a new place to shop frequently!

Went in to look for a waterproof liner. I was dressed down with sweats n a ball cap n gym shoes. But the wanna be a girl associate who was helping me was no help. Not friendly and kept answers cut n dry. Ewww. Nothing worst than blond hair and bondo makeup to cover the razor stubble I’m guessing. I guess I didn’t look like a million bucks maybe cuz it’s the frickn weekend and I’m in chill mode. Never judge a book by its cover. I don’t care how perfect your hair and makeup is. That is not what makes a woman.
