If you like country music, honky tonks, flannel, cowboy boots, black leather and bikes this is your spot. I don’t like any of those things and I still dig it here. The people are really cool, the barstaff is always on point. There’s a huge dance floor and a few pool tables. It’s a heel kicking good time whether you’re into that stuff or not. And there’s beer pong

— Came here on a random Saturday night with a couple friends and my boyfriend. My friend told me to wear my boots and I’m glad I did(if I didn’t, I would’ve looked like the oddball). Dressed up in some short shorts, boots and a cute top. — Located right next to dixie grill, park in the same parking lot. — They have a large jenga in a room with couches, a large connect 4, shuffle board, and a beer pong table set up. They also have darts and pool in room by the dance floor. The line dancing was really fun, although my friends and I did not now know how to do it. We tried some by just watching the others do it first and then us doing it on the side. It was fun, but we did not know what we were doing. — If you check into Unilocal, you get a blue drink for $ 5 that has moonshine in it. Pretty good drink! We ended up drinking that all night. — Overall, cool place with lots to do so you’re not just sitting around drinking. Fun to go with other friends to dance. My friends and I will be back!

They have free 2 step lessons at this place. I would never thought they place was a country bar. The lessons was fun. They go step by step on how to dance and they have multiple different dances. The people there are friendly and fun and they are open to helping you if you need help. They also have a big size Jenga and a connect 4 and menu other games. This is definitely a spot you should check out if your free during the week or weekend.

I don’t like the bumping and grinding you feel like you have to do at most bars but this bar is nothing like most bars. Whiskey Dix is sooo much fun! The games are awesome and set the atmosphere up really well:) All the staff is friendly and personable. This place is the best bar I’ve found so far in Hawaii and trust me I’ve been to many.

Where do I start? The customer service is on point. They greet you at the door, and remember you when you come back. They even remembered my name. Bonus points. I love hanging out with the two hottest bartenders on the planet. Victoria and Cody really know how to mix them drinks. They should have their own reality show. Great place to drink, unwind, dance, play games and get girls. Or watch my friend epically fail at getting girls. Haha

DJ was too involved dancing to play decent music to dance to, and the women that were there tonight are too full of them self. What a waste of time. I wasn’t looking to have sex on the dance floor let alone take one home, just looking for someone that knew how to two step. I’m sure the price of drinks is pretty common for the island and the bar maids were pleasant to deal with too. One last thing, where was the«live band» the advertise?

I went into Whiskey Dix for the first time last night, I used to go to this same bar when it was called Pecos back in the day and I didn’t know it reopened as a country bar 3 years ago so as soon as I heard about it I rushed on down to check it out. Its crowded on a saturday but not so crowded that you have to squeeze your way through the bar, and the dance floor had lots of room and the music isn’t too loud so you can still have a good conversation with your friends in there. There’s no cover charge and parking is free. I will be going back for sure, its a good place to listen to country music and get your cardio on :)

Great country bar! Always dancing going on, but if you want to two-step on the weekends come early, by the end the night it usually turns in to mostly line-dances and the DJ starts mixing in hip-hop music.

I love Whiskey Dix! It’s a fun bar atmosphere where you can also dance. The staff is awesome! They also give two-step lessons for free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as line dance lessons on Mondays. If dancing is not your style, they also have shuffleboard, pool tables and more. Parking does suck because it’s shard with the restaurant downstairs, but if you get there earlier or after the restaurant closes, you can find a spot.

I really love this bar… when I can find parking! The parking situation is the only bad thing about this bar. That parking lot is waaaaay too small to be shared with both the bar and restaurant! Funny thing is they advertise having a lot of parking on their radio commercial… not so much! On the good side, the music is great! The bar games are fun too! Pool tables, corn hole, dart boards, shuffle board, giant Jenga, and connect 4! They also have good drink specials! On the weekends they have 24oz draft specials for $ 5!

I’ve been here several times within the year since my west side friend like this bar to chill at since it doesn’t get crazy busy. The first time I went here, I felt I stepped into hoedown in Texas. It really is something that I’m not used to seeing around on the island. For those country music lovers, this is the spot to be at! It’s cool though, there’s a dance floor where regulars like to express their love for country music and dancing. What I enjoy about this bar is that they have a life size jenga and checkers that we always play when we come here. That’s probably the only reason we come here to hang is lounge in the back sofa’s and play against one another. We’ve only gone during a weekday so it’s less crowded which we like so we don’t have to deal with having to find seats like other bars. So if you wanna beat the crowd, I suggest going during the week. There ample parking in front of Dixie Grill and no cover as well. They only serve drinks here so come here when you’re out and about looking for a place to chill after dinner. Prices are comparable like other bars with their alcohol prices. They seem drinks you’ll find at other bars. Servers there are attentive and always check on us if we need anything for the past experiences I’ve been there. Overall, for me this place is just okay. It’s not my time of scene or music. The atmosphere is so country and really dark inside. I’d really come back here just to play games though. That’s the fun part of being at this bar.

Whiskey Dix is the best bar on Oahu. Even if you aren’t a fan of country music, this bar is a great place to hangout with friends. Great people, great atmosphere, giant jenga, dance floor, pool tables, great music, and the best bartenders you’ll find! Any time I come back to Hawaii I’ll be visiting Whiskey Dix. Stop in, be sure to try a Tanto Bomb, and tip your bartenders well! Love the Whiskey Dix family!!!

I like this place! I love the low key chill vibe of this bar. They have oversized Jenga and Checkers which is a blast to play. They also have darts and a pool table if large board games aren’t your thing. There is a spacious dance floor and the DJ plays country music. A water jug is available so patrons can help them self to water at any time. Drinks cost $ 3-$ 6 depending on the special. Overall, it’s a fun bar to just hang out with friends and play Jenga. There is no cover charge and parking is plentiful.

Honestly, the only reason I EVER come here is because I have a couple friends who like it; I, myself, happen to strongly dislike country music and anything related. The staff is alright though, and for those who enjoy line dancing and honky-tonk — this is the place for you!

This place was ok at first drinks a little expensive but doable. I am a mixed fellow and the only guy of color in the bar beside the bouncer, which I’m used to. What I’m not used to is blatant RACISM! I got kicked out of the bar simply because I was of color. I was sitting by the pool tables with my friends talking when a bouncer asked me to come with him. So I did and he said I was to intoxicated and needed to leave. At this point in time I had 1 shot and 2 beers and I’m 240lbs so I was far from drunk. I felt really bad but left quietly. I will never go to this place either will my friends(who are white) hope this helps anyone like me!

I love this bar! I love being able to listen to country music here… it makes me so happy! What makes country better than an open bar full of awesome, fun, FREE games? Everytime I come here its with a large group of people, usually full of people loathing country music, and they have a great time! The drinks are good, decently priced and the open bar is a great place to hang out with friends. I’m not one for dancing but they do have a nice area to two step the night away or you can play shuffleboard, giant jenga, giant connect 4, darts or pool! Love this bar :) wish it were closer to town and I’d be there more often.

I went here for NYE and I tell you I would not think this place was my style. My friend and I had a blast!!! It was clean, there was room to sit, dance, drink… and life size Jenna??? Ummm yes please. I will not share the about the shuffle board or pool tables!!! Awesome. Awww and the bartenders are friendly and on top of it! Attentive and mix-knowledgable! Legit… all the way around.

I don’t know where to start, but I will say country music isn’t my thing. If you consider Kelly Clarkson country then yes I am all about it. So anyway, my boyfriend and I felt a bit spontaneous one night and decided to hit this greatly rated«club». It was about 12am when we decided to go and usually for many clubs that is when things get poppin’. So we went and it was pretty much a ghost town with one chick thinking she owned country music, another one too scared to dance on the center stage so she danced on the sideline while practicing, and two chicks playing«DJ». I just couldn’t stand watching these few people dance, it was severely painful and too robotic for this Latina. After a few drinks, which didn’t make it any easier to be there, we decided to leave. It might be someone else’s cup of tea, but it sure isn’t ours.

First off the drinks were way too expensive. I’m used to the drinks being high when you go out but $ 7 for beer on the tap??? Than there didn’t seem to be any type of dress code. You had deush bag guys wearing beach shorts and tank tops trying to show off their arms. Groups of guys trying to impress the female bar tenders(yeah like that works) while occupying their time slowing down the drink orders. I waked in with two women my wife and her friend. Seems that cowardly men wouldn’t approach the table until I was away for any reason than vanish when I got back. To top the evening off i danced with my wife’s friend and one of the bouncers, or someone wearing the bars shirt) was talking to my wife and took off when he saw me coming back up. I don’t care when people flirt with my wife because I know who she is coming home with but 15 – 20 later my wife insisted we needed to go home and she acted very drunk, she only had 4 beers and a shot enough for a buzz but not to be drunk, I got her home and she threw up for hours and felt like she was dying. She doesn’t remember anything from the time I got back to the table. My conclusion is someone slipped something into her drink thinking that they would come back in a few minutes and collect up the drunk girl. I was told that this happens there sometimes and you need to watch your drinks. Given the crowd and type of people there I would suspect that this must be a common activity in this bar. If you go make sure you watch your drinks and watch your friends. Definitely the type of place where 3 guys will get a girl smashed drunk so they can lead her stumbling out of the bar without the bouncer giving them a second look. I say two stars because it was cleanish(I got a splinter from the bar 2 min after I got there) and it wasn’t overly crowded and I don’t know if it was a person or bouncer that drugged her. And it’s overly pricy but I have seen worse places in hawaii. Maybe a great place for a brawl if my wife isn’t with me. Next time I take my Harley.

I have never been to a country bar, but if they’re anything like this one, I LOVE country bars! haha I went with my husband and our friends this past Saturday and I had the best time! The Lone Ranger is a pretty awesome drink… dangerous though as it tastes kinda like blueberry Jello or a Jolly Rancher. Amazing staff, GIANT Jenga and GIANT Connect Four, shuffleboard, dancing, live music, the list goes on! It’s just an amazing time with great people all around.
