Yup. New Moon is still my favorite breakfast spot… went there yesterday for coffee and breakfast & it’s never a disappointment!

turkey panini with bagel chips/humus Was delicious. And there were 5 coffee brews to choose from when I went in around brunch. Fast wifi and nice staff. 5-stars.

Always tasty. Coffee is amazing. I like the breakfast items more than the lunch. The grits are my favorite.

Had to come here to get my caffeine after watching Travinias defile the name of espresso. All was made right… even if Mini was too busy to make a latte dragon.

I had the breakfast French toast cranberry special and it was delicious! It lasted me all day! Thick and hearty! Service was quick easy. Aiken is a great little town and this restaurant is one of the local gems.

I’ve checked in here over 20 times and I’ve never reviewed it? That’s terrible. Anyways its a great little hole in the wall coffehouse/smoothie palace/breakfast den/lunch spot in Downtown Aiken. The employees are generally nice and accommodating of requests. It’s best to call in orders around lunch time because it gets really busy. I love to get their Green Monster smoothie. I’m not really a coffee drinker, but when I’m in the mood I get the kickersnoodle coffee. It’s freaking amazing! They always have lunch specials depending on the variety of goods they have available for the day. I keep coming back here day after day and I have never been disappointed in the food, smoothies, or the service. I just wish they stayed open later and had a sofa that I can hang out on all day.

Very good! Stopped here on our way from charleston to Atlanta. 5 miles off of 20. Got the Cobert and the Tony Montana. Great sandwiches on what tasted like fresh bread. Also tried and liked gazpacho soup side and baked potato salad side. It’s the type of place where you want to go back and try ten more things. The bagel chips are cut from big bagels! Must go back and try more on our next road trip.

This is my 2nd time here. I love that it’s all local and I am all for supporting local businesses. I ordered the breakfast scramble bowl with ham cheese and veggies. First off they brought it out and it was covered with uncooked spinach. Was kinda taken back by that but, I kept an open mind. I dug into it and noticed none of the veggies were cooked at all. Green peppers, onions, mushrooms… None cooked or softened at all. Cold on top of the eggs. Then I noticed the eggs in the bowl were microwave cooked in the bowl. Sorry, but I wouldn’t have let that go out of my kitchen like that. I guess I’m kind of a food snob from working in a restaurant for so long. But, I give them kudos for being local and doing their thing. I did love the carrot cake muffin and coffee. I just know not to order the scramble bowl again. Btw, they left the ham off my scramble bowl as well. But a good groovy place to hang out. Very cool atmosphere in downtown Aiken.

New Moon Café is my favorite local restaurant in Aiken. The whole place gives off a local, hip vibe. I’ve gotten breakfast sandwiches and coffee before. Both were delicious. During Lent, I got a pimento grilled cheese sandwich. Today I tried a Cuban sandwich. It tasted like an authentic Cuban! New Moon also roasts their own coffee beans. My wife and I love the coffee.

Great place for a coffee or snack. The baristas are friendly and make great recommendations. Having lived in Oregon, I’m kind of a coffee snob, and this place earned a passing grade! Try their frappés when it gets hot!

If you’re looking for food in downtown Aiken, come here. The food is amazing. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great staff. If you like tuna, get the tuna phish melt. And if you’re a hummus lover like myself they have great tasting hummus with bagel chips.

very chill place… apparently the only other coffee option around is starbucks and that place is nasty… so far this is the better choice of getting coffee in /near aiken… their coffee is pretty good… its a hit or miss if you get a properly made cappuccino(depends on whos making it) staff is pretty nice… they could use a cleaning day in the restaurant… if you look closely the place the pretty filthy… the desserts are amazing!!! love the croissants… i wish to know which bakery supplies them! They are great! overall… pretty chill place… i wish they would stay open later(for the evenings)

I got a café mocha and a bagel w/sundried tomato creamed cheese. I loved the atmosphere of this place. It’s great that they serve breakfast all day and the mocha they made me was really good. The relaxed but quality atmosphere made me feel like I was back in CA. Definitely will recommend it to others.

Great food, very flavorful. The eating area was not very inviting but my husband insisted we stay. He was right! The food was delicious. The Honey mustard chicken salad plate was great! We also loved the potato salad. We had a great lunch.

This place rocks! Not only is it in the heart of downtown, it is the only place in Aiken that actually roasts their coffee beans onsite… well right next door. The smell of the beans roasting permeates the air and draws you in the door. Once there you find yourself inside a café/coffee bar/art gallery. The walls are covered with the art of local artists who display their work. My favorite spot to sit and enjoy my cup of coffee(and people watch) is at one of the patio tables located on the sidewalk as you walk in. Definitely worth a visit.

What a cute eclectic little café in Aiken. Came here for breakfast and ordered their grits w/cheese and bacon, a breakfast burrito and their smoothie green monster. The grits so far has been the best I’ve had in the south, no joke. I’ve had grits in New Orleans but the one here at the new moon café was exceptionally very tasty. The green monster smoothie was delicious and refreshing. Great way to start the morning with a yummy shake. Coffee was very good as well, not too strong. Service was a tad slow but worth the wait. Also loved that they were playing beastie boys brass monkey in the café.

A gem. A bastions of civility and whimsy in a town drowning in Southern pomposity and nouveau riche arrogance. Also, great soups and sandwiches!
