Flemings is an excellent and classy restaurant, I have decided to take my family to celebrate Father’s Day. When we get there I notice that there was valet. The valet was free and they even opened the doors for us was we entered. I told them my name and also(I had a reservation) asked if there was any other special occasion I responded with yes. We were also celebrating my brothers birthday. Our waitress was very nice and very polite. After that one of the staff members asked if we wanted a complementary photo to celebrate Father’s Day and my brothers birthday. And we said yes, she took the photo and asked if we wanted to redo it but we said no it was perfect. She then alder how many copy’s we would like and we asked for 2. She gave up the photos for free. The atmosphere is delightful, the lighting was dim but it was perfect for the decorations, there were little fake candles that would give a little light to the table. Behind our table was a beautiful wine casing. The tables were wide so we had plenty of space. The food was delicious, the calamari was excellent and very flavorful, the starting bread was good they gave us delicious dip that were different from each other, I had the main filet mignon with truffle poached lobster. They were excellent and well done. As we were leaving our waitress gave my brother a happy birthday card. She also gave my father and brother a box of truffles. Overall Fleming is an amazing restaurant and I highly recommend that you go there. P.S There were 6 of us there and the bill was over $ 400, the restaurant is expensive. But you’ll have a good time

I have had very good meals at Flemings, but I have to say, I had the worst Omelette I have ever had for $ 35 dollars. It was and eight inch thick, 6 inches long and so well done you had to use a knife to cut the edges. Served with this omelette were two dried out pieces of sausage. Bad meal and ruined my appetite from anything else. My wife enjoyed her prime rib.

This is a good high end Steak House and one of the better ones I have been to and will go again when in the Cleveland Ohio area. Went with a fairly large business group and the starter was a seafood tower that was a great size for our group of around 10 people and fresh. I ordered their Rib Eye medium cooked perfectly with the right amount of pink, no leakage and had an awesome aged flavor. Sides were average but still a great SH.

My boyfriend and I stop in here regularly for the wonderful happy hour! Only available at the bar, we love sitting and sipping as we wind down from work. The happy hour premise is 5 wines, 5 cocktails, and 5 appetizers for $ 6 until 7pm. Their appetizer selections are great! Our favorites are the pork belly and the burrata. The calamari is great as well. I do wish the drink choices were a little more interesting or that the wines were of a better quality, but the service, food, and company is so great I can’t complain!

My wife and I came here for our first wedding anniversary and we will definitely be back. Reservations online were easy to make. Atmosphere was great, and food spectacular. Atmosphere: free valet, people opening does for us, and our anniversary acknowledged promptly with a free picture printed out for us to celebrate the night. The dining atmosphere I’d spectacular, not too crowded, perfect lighting. Only issue we had is they had pop music playing overhead, it would have been much better with a classical or jazz or anything more expensive dinner appropriate. Staff: friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, great all around. Wine: expensive but a great selection of all types and cocktails Food: in a nutshell, really good but not perfect. The bread and flavored butter to start were awesome! We got French onion soup, calamari, filet mignon and lobster(part of nightly special), sides of the Fleming potatoes and onion rings and the lava cake for dessert. The soup was too salty to taste the other flavors. Calamari was good, but not quite properly cooked and had a slightly rubber feel but still tasty. The filet in one word was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, seasoned well, awesome taste. Lobster was also incredible, which says a lot because I’m not much a fan of lobster in general. The sides were each good and definitely each would be good for 2 people but I’d try different ones on our next visit The lava cake also was superb. Value: this meal was $ 220, very pricey but the experience was very worth it. We will definitely be back. Reason for 4 stars: music, overall expense, super salty French onion soup, mediocre calamari and sides. Ideally, I would give it 4.5 stars because it truly was a great experience and restaurant.

Last Friday was out last visit to Flemings. The food has gone down hill over the last few month. Several, months ago we would have said it was one of our favorite places to eat. No longer the food is inconsistent. My husband sent this dinner back and decided he had had enough since hen had a salad and crab cakes. Granted it is a steak house, but his entrée of fish was a disaster. On our first visit he thought the crab cakes were the best he had ever had. Friday’s were mediocre. Twice I have been served French fries that were basically burned. My fillet was above average, but everything is overpriced and there is not good value. The service has always been good. The restaurent is loud and they add lively music which does not make for a relaxing evening.

We celebrated my parents’ 60th Wedding Anniversary here on the day after Christmas, and everything about our dinner was great. The staff was welcoming(acknowledging the special occasion immediately and often), attentive, and professional. Our waitress was great, with just the right balance between listening and providing information to help us make our choices. Everybody agreed that their food was prepared and cooked perfectly. The fillets were especially tender and flavorful and the crab cakes were better(i.e., more crab/less cake) than almost any I have eaten, even in good seafood restaurants. We were offered and accepted complimentary photos to mark the occasion and received a small treat at the end. I live in Southern California and eat at Fleming’s restaurants fairly often in Newport Beach, El Segundo, and San Diego. I have always had a good experience at these locations, and now I can say that the Akron restaurant gives these other locations some tough competition!

First time December 2015. We got the prime rib dinner(excellent). The service was excellent by both our waiter and the manager stopping by. I like the open kitchen concept. The sauteed mushrooms were divine & their special potato casserole was very tasty. This restaurant is top rated & deserves every star I gave it. Yes, it is expensive — but you get what you pay for! My only con is it is VERY dark in the dining room but that was overlooked because of the quality.

Amazing service and food. Our waiter David was extremely helpful, and the GM Jim Adcock took great care of us. The bone in ribeye was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth!

My husband surprised me with dinner on sweetest day and our one week wedding anniversary. We had never been here before. When we walked in we were seated right away, we were even a little early for our reservation. The hostess greeted me with a rose and happy sweetest day and seated us. Our waiter showed up shortly after. His name was Michael Hanna. He was AMAZING! If you ever go here I highly recommend that you ask for him! Not only did he know exactly what he was doing, he was so nice and even bought us dessert as a wedding gift. One of the managers even stopped by our table and made sure everything was okay and greeted us by our names. We will definitely be coming back to Flemings! It’s not cheap but the food was amazing and so was the service!

This is a wonderful place however I can not give it 5 stars because of the price. The service was wonderful. The place seemed a little dark. Everything is extra unless you get a special. Save this for a special occasion. Service — 5 Food — 4.5 Value — 3

In my opinion, Flemings is the most consistenly excellent restaurant in the Akron area. It is pricey, but the service and food will never let you down. One of the restaurant’s hidden secrets is the bar menu. Its a lot cheaper than the dining room menu, and really first class. All the servers are great, but we highly recommend Michael. I normally order the bone-in rib-eye…bone comes home with me for the retriever.

I’ve been to this location several times over several years and it never fails to wow me every time. Food is phenomenal, service is superb, atmosphere is fantastic. It’s expensive but consider it an insurance policy for the perfect night out. There are often specials.(sign up for their emails. You can’t beat paying Outback prices for this place when specials roll around.) The bar does great happy hour specials as well. If I could give it more stars, I would. I’ve never been to a restaurant that always gets it right… except this one.

We went to the bar and did the 6 for 6 which goes from 5 pm to 7 pm our group goes there once a month for a meeting. The $ 6 wine is very good and most of us have the &6 steak burger which is excellent. The service and for is great and a great deal. You need to get there by 5 or 5:15 to get a seat. No reservations for the bar area

As a general rule, my wife and I try to avoid steakhouses because they always seem overpriced. I can go to a restaurant run by a good chef and get the one steak on the menu and it would be at least just as good as any at a steakhouse and probably even a couple of dollars less expensive. But we were meeting another couple for dinner and the holidays had us feeling like splurging so we met up at the Fleming’s in Fairlawn. Right away you could feel the warm embrace of the traditional steakhouse ambiance — dark wood, dark carpeting and dark lighting along with plenty of wine bottles for decorations. Then came the(almost) perfectly attentive service. The four of us weren’t in a hurry to order, preferring to compare notes about our family Christmases. The server not only didn’t rush us but she regularly made sure neither our glasses nor bread board approached emptiness. And halfway through the meal the manager also stopped by to check on us. Fleming’s is a chain restaurant but it doesn’t feel that way at all. As for the menu, the selection and unfortunately the prices are typical of a steakhouse. I don’t remember seeing an entrée for less than $ 30. I had the peppercorn-crusted New York Strip(about $ 45). It was cooked to a perfect medium temperature and the peppercorns gave it a little kick but it only served to enhance the taste of the streak, not overwhelm it. There was a slightly tangy bbq sauce that also added to the overall taste. It came with french green beans which were just fine but luckily we had ordered a side of creamed spinach that came with plenty of shaved Parmesan on top. It was creamy without being too heavy and went perfectly with the steak and the peppercorns. One of the people we were dining with raved about it, saying it was almost like his mother used to make. My wife had one of the specials — a small strip steak and an equal portion of ahi tuna. I tasted her’s and thought the best part was the wasabi mash potatoes that only had a subtle wasabi flavor but was enough to tie the two proteins into a cohesive dish. We had ordered the calamari appetizer but it must never had gotten put into the computer. We figured we weren’t going to see it when they took away our friend’s empty salad dish and gave us all steak knives. Oh well, the otherwise excellent service had us in a forgiving mood and I was OK, with avoiding paying for a $ 17 app. If I lived in the outer suburbs and wanted to celebrate a special occasion then this would be on my shortlist.

This is a great restaurant for entertaining business clients. Impressive staff, easy/flexible reservation process. Service is excellent, the food is very good overall, steaks are really top notch. I’m typically a fan of local restaurants so the price/value ratio typically tilts towards local over chain, but Fleming’s offers consistency and an atmosphere set up for all occasions. The bar is a great place for Happy Hour & appetizers. It draws a decent crowd on weekday evenings, especially around the Bridgestone Invitational Golf Tournament(August) where one might catch a glimpse of a professional player or two. One aspect I am continually confused about is the parking. The lot is small, but often filled — though the restaurant seems empty on arrival. I think the complimentary valet is a great touch, but since the furthest walk is maybe 200′, it just seems a little tony for Akron, Ohio.
