Now I haven’t been to this Outback in quite a while but I remember it always being a great meal. Not today. The hostess didn’t even speak to us. We were sat, menus thrown on the table, and she walked away. We ordered an appetizer that took 25 minutes to receive with cheese on the top not even melted. We both got Caesar salads that were DOUSED in dressing(and I like a good amount of dressing) with store bought croutons. I ordered a filet and lobster with a side of macaroni and cheese. The lobster tail was super tiny and the filet was riddled with fat and was hard to cut which I found strange. I didn’t receive my macaroni until I was COMPLETELYFINISHED with my steak and lobster yet was still charged the extra 1.99 for it. The waitress was nice. Longhorn is RIGHT across the street and spot on every time. Don’t waste your time with this place. It’s sad to see what was once a treat of a restaurant to eat at go into such a dark place.

This had to be one of the worst dining experiences my husband and I have ever had. The problems started with a server who would disappear for 10 – 15 minutes at a time. We received bread and water even though we ordered a beer and mixed drink and appetizer 15 minutes before. The food did not make up for the poor service. I had tilapia which was salty and tasteless. My husband’s filet and lobster meal was a joke. The supposed filet was a ½ inch thick with no taste. The lobster tail was not cut out of the shell and my husband struggled to a get a quarter sized piece of lobster out of the shell. The manager did comp us for the meal but we had to convince him it was terrible. After the meal it took us 10 minutes to get the check even after my husband requested it. The only person that was of any help was the young man orchestrating the front desk. He chased down our check and apologized to us about the horrible service. Never again will we be going to this or any other Outback.

Uhhhhhhhh No! So we spent all day traveling and were starved. Decided on Outback since we couldn’t agree on anything else. There a lots of restaurants in the area and boy did we make a bad decision. So it’s 5 adults… one small piece of bread. Now I am assuming there’s some sort of bread shortage in Ohio because when I’m at home we usually get a couple loaves for 3+ people. OK so my salad… stale croutons and soggy lettuce. Service could be better, my medium steak was well done… my lobster tail looked like 2 small strips of bacon and my aunts medium well steak was totally rare along with her watered down pineapple juice from a can. Sent the steak back… new one arrived and our waitress requested I check the middle and boy am I glad she did. That thing said«MOOOOOOOO» and ran off the plate! It wasn’t even rare… it was RAW… ALIVE! Not much else I could say except that everything was way too salty and the portions were kid sized.

The food was mediocre & service was ok. The worst part was our waitress had an attitude problem — there were whole pieces of broccoli, french fries etc on the floor(path to try to sit down without stepping in it). We mentioned it to her, and she could have cared less. Another issue was how foul-mouthed the cook was(we sat 3 tables from the kitchen door) — he only knew the f-word and he was yelling at a high volume constantly. I don’t pay $ 80 for 2 to dine out to listen to that or eat around filth on the floor. That place was a hog-pen.

We have been to this location a few tines before and it has always been just what you expect for a chain restaurant. Today if it wasn’t for our server Lauren I would have not even be able to offer a one star. No matter how hard she tried they just couldn’t get our orders right. I tried a 12oz sirloin steak. It was the worst piece of meat I’ve had in my life. It was tough and I felt like I was given a joke steak that you can never chew. The manager at least did what he could to make it right. Overall it was a just a bad experience. Will be the last time we go to an Outback.

My wife got the petite filet, broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. I got the«bloomin’ Burger» which was served with french fries. The wife’s steak and trimmings were fine. As far as my meal, firstly if they say something is served with fries, recognize that you will likely get the inch-long scraps from the bottom of a ten pound bag of frozen fries, tossed in the fryer and then on your plate, and to accentuate that insult there will likely be fewer of them on your plate than are served in a Happy Meal at the fast food joint down the street, so swap it out for a baked or sweet potato! Next the burger, which in their food stylist doctored photograph is huge and drowning in a bevy of shards from their bloomin’ onion appetizer. When one orders a burger at a steakhouse there are certain expectations… extra-large pretzel bun, huge burger, copious amounts of advertised toppings, etc. The bun is of the same size and dough variety as those used on a standard sized burger at McDonald’s. The patty is comparable to two of MickeyD’s standard patties mashed together, and the copious number of bloomin’ onion shards translated in the real world to three 1.5″ shards, two of which were the fried shell only, onion lost in transit. To help the patty repeatedly slide out of the bun, halved grape tomatoes served as a culinary ball-bearing platform for the patty, supplying one’s dining entertainment. To make the presentation less patently offensive, it was served on a plate just marginally larger than their bread-plate by an inch or so each way. A new advertising placard was placed squarely in front of us suggesting we download Outback’s new app, and positing the question«why wait.» The answer? You HAVE to wait! They DON’T have frickin’ Wi-Fi! McDonald’s has frickin’ Wi-Fi and they don’t charge $ 10 for a $ 4 burger! So if you’re in a burger frame of mind, the area is littered with better options, most of which are more wallet friendly as well! They just don’t seem to be even trying these days!

Dear MANAGEMENT of this restaurant, You could do a MUCH better job training and monitoring your waitstaff. Our server was an ASSHOLE. If I were the manager there and saw what this girl did and how she acted and spoke to PAYINGCUSTOMERS, I’d have fired her once her shift ended. BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCHALERT. First of all, teach your servers how to do their fu**ing jobs correctly. My wife should not have to wait 30GODDAMN minutes for her strawberry mashed drink to be served. Second, when I ask for my diet coke to be brought with a lemon, BRINGITWITH A LEMON!!! Third, when I order a baked potato and SPECIFICALLY request it be plain, DON’T BRINGITLOADED!!! Fourth, It should N-O-T take 45 minutes for an appetizer to come out! Holy shit, shame on the server for not making sure our appetizer was delivered in a reasonable time from when it was ordered, and shame on the management for allowing this kind of service in the first place. When our coconut shrimp was delivered, even my wife, who never says anything about the service, remarked FIIIIINNNNNNNNNALLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYY. I’m not even done yet. It gets better(sarcasm!). When I was half done with my meal, the ASSHOLE server comes over and sees my diet coke is low and wants to know if she should bring another one. I say no thank you, and she says «OK, well if you don’t want another soda, you must be done with your meal then». WTF??? Are you kidding me? What FU**ING server says shit like that to a customer? Then she tries to take my half plate of food, like I’m some goddamn 5 year old. FU*KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKYOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, BITCH. I guess she did not appreciate that the baked potato I was brought was WRONG and had to be sent back. The attitude I received for that was nothing less than BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTCHHHHH. I could list even more treatment that was disrespectful and downright shitass but by this point, my point has been made. Our server was an ASSHOLE, and our experience SUCKED. When the check came, I paid cash and wanted to leave the $ 2 change as a tip but my wife went behind my back, as did my mother-in-law, and left more money because they felt bad. I told them later that when I am paying the bill, I decide what tip to leave, not them, and to never, ever do that again. Our bitch server didn’t deserve ANY tip. Watch who you give attitude to, bitch. Enjoy the extra few dollars you got. Be lucky you got it because if I had had my way, you would have gotten the $ 2 change only. Nasty asshole. Rest assured we will never be going back to this restaurant again. At least not when I’m the one who will be paying the check. The food is OK, the service SUCKS, and our server was a bitch with a tude.

I see on here a lot of complaints about the management! I was also going to complain about the management! I have never been treated so poorly in my life! I came all the way in for an interview and they forgot about the interview three times! And they made it out to be my fault! I even got yelled at by the manager when he finally she’s up! I used to be so excited about this restaurant because of there gluten free menu and that was the reason I wanted to work in this company but after that experience I will never come back again!

Ordered well done steak and lobster dinner for takeaway. My steak was very pink in the middle and the lobster was way smaller than picture and was overcooked dry and rubbery. They also didn’t give me melted butter. Instead of complaining, I think I’ll just be done with outback. My food has been unacceptable at more than one location.

Got our meals for pick up since it is always a long wait to dine in on a Saturday night. Did curbside before with quick and accurate service. Meal was 20 minutes later than projected ready time. When I got home, I realized I had the wrong order. Called to notify staff then drove back for my order. I think the one female staff member was overwhelmed as she didn’t come to the car despite my being parked in the curbside spot. My daughter ended up walking into the service door to get our order and return the incorrect one. The food was ok. The Alice springs chicken seemed to be missing the sauce. I will have to think twice before going back here for curbside.

Bartenders were great. I think they lost our order as we watched many come in after us order, eat and leave before we got our food. Food was so so the cold beer very good. We sat at bar to avoid long wait. At the bar we at least got to have a cool one.

2 years ago this restraint was wonderful. Last year a manager insulted me because I wouldn’t send my prime rib sandwich which had no prime rib on it, back to the kitchen. The last 2 experiences were with the servers complaining about being to busy. We will order take out but never eat in again.

Update from my review from a few weeks ago… the aforementioned manager had said that he’d mail us a refund in the form of a gift card and it’s nowhere to be found. I give up. Fairlawn/Montrose needs more non-chain restaurants that will actually care about the caliber & quality of their establishments.

Nice mid-week meal. This location is always friendly and the food is consisently good. The waitress was attentive with our drinks and the manager checked on us twice. My steak was just a little too rare for my taste but they fixed the problem quickly without overcooking it. I took the baked sweet potatoe(honey butter with brown sugar is amazing) to eat while I was waiting and they gave me another one when they brought my plate back. I was sad to leave a perfectly good sweet potatoe go to waste but my food coma was already setting in. Nice meal for the price!

This is one of the best places for prime rib. Its staff is always kind, the food is excellent and they really go out of their way to accommodate you. I go there once a month on Thursdays after a meeting. We can’t get there till about 930 and they are always out of prime rib, understandable. But I got smart I started calling and talk to the manager Britney, and she saves me a large cut so that I can always be guaranteed one. I offered to pay ahead to prove I would be there but she wouldn’t hear it! Incredible customer service but it wouldn’t count if the food wasn’t great it is!

My girlfriend and I go here regularly. Haven’t had one complaint yet. Consistently good food and service. Usually wouldn’t prefer a chain, but this is probably the best restaurant in the Montrose area.

Went there on a Monday night after dinner rush. Usually that is when the service slacks a bit, but not here. The service was great and friendly staff. The food was cooked to perfection. I went with the outback special 9oz and was cooked medium well(which seems to be difficult to cook for a lot of places). We stayed passed closing and never rushed us out. A good dining experience.

I have never been disappointed with an Outback Steakhouse. This restaurant was no different. Excellent service and food. Absolutely no complaints.
