Un. Believe-able! That 5150 burger is amazing but so is every single thing else! Top quality ingredients in great combinations. This is my new favorite French fry, my new favorite slaw and I love the sauces. It just so happens the staff is also more friendly than usual and quite helpful! 10 of 10 for me!

Excellent food. Gluten Free Options. CLOSED. Permanently. Not sure why. I’m looking forward to see whatever new business Barrons comes up with for this location.

the 50⁄50 sounded yum, but I feel like the patty is a bit thin and burger is small. Would have liked it to be more substantial and filling.

I really enjoy this place. Good quality ingredients for their burgers, sandwiches and fries here. A quick, easy meal before or after I go grocery shopping at the Alameda marketplace. Basically a no-frills place, where you order at the counter, next to a few other food places along the wall. There’s a small counter with stools and several tables to sit and eat. $ 7 – 8 for a burger, depending on whether you add cheese or bacon. Ask them to grill your onions for no extra charge. The fries are thin-cut with just the right amount of crispness and softness.

Mostly get the regular burger and fries. This is the best in the east bay. The right mix of fat and beef. Fries are thin and crisp. The different sauces is a big plus. This is inside the market place so it’s ideally take out. Soup is always good. The sandwiches are a bit expensive and I don’t get those.

I was told Baron’s Eats was on a list of best burgers in Alameda so I Unilocaled it and saw it had a basic 3 stars. So of course I was hesitant giving it a try. Best of Alameda, but only basic ratings.?? Upon arrival I was surprised that it was inside a market along with other small eateries. I was expecting a full on big restaurant and I didn’t know what to expect. The menu is limited and very straight to the point. I went for the basic good ol’ burger with fries. The burger was delicious. The cheese looked like it was fried or cooked onto the pattie. It had a fried taste to it, in a good way. It said it comes with their special dragon sauce on it but i didn’t really taste it in it. I got some on the side and the sauce is pretty good. It has a firey kick to it. I got the fries too of course. Their fries are very skinny like shoe-string fries. They were good, I liked them but the burger was the star of the show. It was super juicy and flavorful without anything crazy in it. I definitely will be back and am curious to try their cheesesteak next time. I can only imagine it will be just as delicious as their burgers. They also have soup!

There is normally a lunch special sandwich that is a solid go to for lunch. The fries are on point and the serving size OMG I need to share a basket. The burgers are good and the staff is friendly. An all around good place to get lunch. Wait is normally less than 10 minutes for hot items so not bad.

Ok, I’ve only been here twice so maybe it’s a coincidence, but both times one of the employees was bullying another employee. The food may be good but it turns my stomach to see that kind of culture happening. Both times it has been the cook bullying the cashier, but it has been different cooks and different cashiers each time. I don’t know what’s up here but it’s a bummer.

Still the best fries in the east bay! Also, come here for the food, the service can be a bit shy, but the food makes up for it. Be patient, good things come to those who wait!

So this review is for Baron’s fries only, so if you’re looking for the deets on their burgers, then you might wanna skip reading all this. Let’s be real here. If you like thick cut fries, I’m judging you. I don’t deal with thick cut fries. Might as well just eat a baked potato instead. The fries here at Baron’s are shoestring style, thin and crispy, like a real french fry you know! They’re not too greasy, they’re not limp and soggy, they’re just right. Not only are they delicious on their own, they’ve also got that sauce game on lock. Curry ketchup? Chipotle mayo? Can’t go wrong there. Fancy fries make my world go round so I’ll be at Baron’s again real soon and you’ll probably see an update from me once I actually try one of their burgers!

I’ll let the photo speak for itself. I asked for a cheese steak sandwich with no onions and got no onions and no peppers. They also were kind enough to serve me a kids portion. My fiancé ordered a Rueben. They put two thin slices of pastrami on her sandwich. This place is a disgrace. The last place at this location was amazing. They should close down and allow someone else to open up a place that serves decent food with normal portions.

One of my favorite sandwiches ever!!! All hot sandwiches are great. The ham is the best of them all in my opinion. The dragon baked beans are also amazing! Solid fries too. Can’t go wrong!

After reading some of the reviews of Baron’s Eats, my husband and I decided to give this place a try yesterday, late afternoon/early evening. My first impression of Baron’s Eats is not my last impression. Reason: We had our hearts set on sandwiches from Clove and Hoof in Oakland. Alas, Clove and Hoof was not opened yesterday. They’re closed on Mondays. Thus, we settled for Baron’s Eats, a local eatery, specializing in burgers and sandwiches. Inasmuch as I would like to have given Baron’s Eats a 4-star rating, and there is no such thing as a 3.5 star rating on Unilocal,a 3-star rating(A-OK) stands for the time being. With our minds and hearts on the sandwiches from Clove and Hoof, it was difficult for us to focus in on the tastiness of the sandwich/burger here. Perusing the menu board, my husband decided to get the 5150 burger(ground beef combined with maple bacon) and me, a fish sandwich, plus a large order of French fries to go. Even though I enjoyed the fish sandwich on the fresh pullman bread and it had a nice subtle kick of the pickled jalapeño, my husband was not totally impressed with the 5150 burger. It did not give him the wowie, zowie feeling and/or a memorable one. I believe he was craving a Clove and Hoof sandwich badly, that the 5150 burger just wasn’t cutting it. The basket of French fries(shoestring) for $ 5.00 was a large portion — enough to feed 3 people with average appetite. They were quite good — not greasy, not mushy, not hard and dry. The texture was just right. Too bad that they don’t serve chili cheese fries here. It would have made my evening to have those fries with chili, cheese and finely chopped raw onion. Finally, a 3-star rating is not a doom and gloom here, and it does not mean I won’t go back to try another one of their sandwiches. In other words, the stars were not aligned quite right. Perhaps when our minds are not on the sandwiches from Clove and Hoof, we will give Baron’s Eats another try in the future.

Just had my 1st patty melt, and I must say it was«delicious»! Juicy, onions grilled to perfection, Swiss cheese oozing from in between the meat and bread… But, the best part… was the toasted Rye bread that remained crunchy to the last bite! I’m smiling as I type #PattyMelt is #endorsed by #LexyCMT

So I go to the Buddhist Temple across the street and yesterday, one of the members brought a bag of their basket fries and told us all that she wants to be buried with this when she dies. So naturally, I had to try them for myself and oh my Buddha, these fries are so close to enlightenment. I had to come back today to buy a whole bag for myself. Why do you ask? Because of what they call curry ketchup and chipotle mayo. Those are the most dangerous condiments because I might not be able to control myself around them. I couldn’t even grasp how they had it out in the open for all to squirt out into a to-go container. I might have taken the whole thing. Anyways, if you need fries, come here. Trust that I will be back. Will do my best to not just order fries next time.

Absolutely the best burger in town, hands down! I’ve eaten here 3 times so far, and it has been great each time. First time I had their hamburger. I like that they use a great quality meat. I’m not a cheeseburger person, so the flavor of beef itself matters greatly — you can’t mask it with cheese. They also use the smash technique so there is a nice crispiness to the meat. Second time I was there, I had their 5150 burger which has bacon mixed in to the patty. Their fries were excellent too. I prefer the flavor of the regular burger. Since I read great things about their sandwich, I decided to try their special sandwich of the day today, Turkey and Brie. Brie was really creamy but the turkey flavor was even better! I’ll definitely try their other sandwiches next time.

Popped by here for dinner with H. Got a a 5150 burger with fries and a bottled soda all under $ 13, which, honestly, is comparable to other gourmet-ish burger places in Alameda. The burger was smaller than I expected but it was sufficient for me! I LOVED the bread they used. The patty which had bacon blended into it, tasted just like a regular patty and sort of fell apart. But at the same time, I felt better that this patty was obviously not pre-made frozen. LOVED the fries. Perfect balance of salt and crisp. Thin too! Sadly, they had no chipotle mayo, but the curry ketchup is amazing. Dripped my way through the burger, ate all the fries, and. regretted getting the orange cream soda, which tasted exactly as I expected… I should just get water or stick to my guns for REGULAR cream soda. Had no problems with service! Would definitely come again!

Where East End Pizza used to be in the Alameda Marketplace before their expansion. Burgers, hot dogs, a few sandwiches. Baron’s Burger(BN Ranch) is $ 7. The 5150 Burger(with bacon blended into the beef) is $ 8. +$ 1 for cheese. +$ 3 for fries. I ordered the 5150 Burger + Fries. No doneness asked and I wanted to see how it would come out so didn’t specify. They have big pump jars of condiments including Dijon mustard, chipotle mayo, curry ketchup, and regular ketchup( ) About 5 minutes later a plastic basket with my food was delivered to my table( ). Toppings included shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo( ). The patty is about 4 ounces and cooked medium well; not very juicy, but still moist and quite flavorful with a nice crust from the flat-top and the constant bacon flavor. You can tell from the irregular shape of the patty that they use a «smash» technique here( ). The tomato was nicely ripe, but I wasn’t a fan of the shredded lettuce. The thin-cut, skin-on fries were crispy, just how I like them. Curry ketchup? I didn’t get much curry, but still a nice dip for the fries.
