Really good prices. Salted caramel was awesome. Full range of toppings. Lots of seating. Wifi. Owner/cashier was as pleasant as can be. Plus they have free kung fu classes on Sundays!!!

Good tart original, with a bit of salted caramel froyo, with some shredded cocnut, it is yummy stuff! Only downside, seems the price is a little unpredictable, as the customer can’t see the weight at checkout, like other places…

I finally found the NONFATFROZENYOGURT that I have been searching for in Alameda. I crave mounds of frozen yogurt with many yummy toppings on it but since I also watch my waistline, I must have nonfat frozen yogurt. For several months i made the rounds of a couple of yogurt places on the Island City, but was totally bummed when I could not even have one small container of frozen yogurt. Now I am so happy that I found the nonfat version that I love. Not only that, it is delicious. The staff at FruittiYogi was very nice also.

I think FruittiYogi is cute. They’re just off the side of Park street so it’s not super noticeable. Their surveillance situation is a little creepy, as mentioned, but what can I say, in a perfect world… There’s ample seating(upstairs and downstairs) and the place is spacious and not usually very packed. The yogurt itself is meh. Tastes more like sugar than anything else. I would prefer it to have the nice clean, fresh, tart taste, which I don’t think FruittiYogi was exactly dripping with. In this close proximity to Tuttimelon, I think I would rather make the trek there.

This place has gotten a little creepy. They have video AND audio surveillance… paranoid much?

Yummy flavored yogurt. Its my first time here. I like to study at cafes but this place is better than starbucks. There’s an upstairs section with a private tv. There’s two tvs down stairs, there’s a whole bunch of yummy fresh toppings to chose from. I love mix matching the flavors. It’s super reasonable and I also love the friendly, fun ambience. Tom will greet you at the front door. Greets everyone that walks in and says«welcome, welcome» «make yourself at home» with a big smile. You can tell he really loves been in here. I think the fun colors lime green, orange and yellow walls. So I like to study here because of the wifi. The starbucks down the st has super slow internet. When I would go there it would always freeze on me and download slow. But the internet here is super fast. They have reasonable snacks I really like the Seasoned Fries and the Hong Kong waggle.

First time here, with(2) 9 year old boys, after mini golf. Good deal, good build-your-own smoothies, clean place and nice counter person. I would come again.

The Coconut Yogurt was tasty. However the chocolate tart flavor had a sour after-taste. Uh… is it supposed to be like that? Overall the place was average compared to a place I visit in Berkeley(on Shattuck). I decided to check out this place because I got a parking space across the street. Friendly cashier.

Great place to get froyo in alameda. I stick with original tart and pomegranate. Served by the ounce so u can decide how much u want :)

Yogurt was just so-so: kinda melty, pretty sweet, but lots of chocolate based flavors(triple chocolate, red velvet, etc. which are all low fat). The usual toppings. Interestingly the same froyo machines as in Yogafina down the street. 38c/ounce, not cheap but not expensive.

I found the smoothies a little bland. I think that for the most part, they are blended chunks of frozen juice. I watched the worker put a big scoop of orangeish frozen juice in, and at the bottom of my smoothie were big chunks of frozen pineapple juice. I did see a real banana go into the blender but missed seeing the peel to judge age The raspberry and banana tasted a bit old, without the tangyness to the berries you’d have if they were fresh or even good quality frozen. I could not taste the mango in my smoothie at all. I would rather get a Jamba Juice all-fruit smoothie. Still, it was better than a «smoothie» from a boba place made with syrup or powder! I thought the fro-yo looked yummy and I’d try it if I came again, along with the pandan waffle. Definitely not the Hot Pockets or Cup o’ Noodles, no thank you.

To be honest, I can’t even remember what the froyo tastes like. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t that great. However, if you love yogurt primarily as a vehicle for toppings, FY is the *perfect* place for you. It’s the only place I know that has caramel filled chocolate turtles as a topping!!! ITISSERIOUSLYTHEBEST!!!

With a name like FruttiYogi, this place sounds like it should be somewhere in SF, between the Castro and the Mission, because I visualize a Gay man meditating but acting crazy at the same time while eating Froyo. There are two Tuttimelon Froyo places nearby in Alameda, one just 2 blocks away. This place is where all the Chinese High School kids come to eat Froyo and socialize, either in the tables downstairs, or more likely in the upstairs dining area. Something about tart Froyo and Asians, kind of goes hand in hand in the Bay Area and LA. Probably because this second wave of Froyo craze started in Asia with tart flavors. This place was being run by a cute little Asian girl, who was training a tall blonde Scandinavian beauty the ropes. I should have said«Yumping Yiminy, Yes i will try a sample Yogurt» when the tall blond offered me, twice! They did have euro named froyo machines though(4 as I recall, so 8 flavors) Disappointing that they had no Asian flavors though, like Taro, Mango, Jack Fruit, even Durian like many other Asian owned places in Asian parts of town. They did have Red Velvet, the new hot flavor du jour. They do have other items, like fruit drinks of different sorts. PYOFY(Pour Your Own FroYo) at $ 0.38/ounce. The Froyo was a bit runny, and not consistent. I tried 4 flavors, and they were all over the map in consistency. Decent but not unusual selection of toppings. I didn’t see that gay guy meditating, but I did see an animated crazy bear wearing a hat full of fruit, talking to a little bear named Boo Boo.

I prefer Tutti-melon up the street(they serve you fro-yo). For self-service, I’d go to Yogifina up the street on Park before FruttiYogi HOWEVER FruttiYogi is the only late night froyo in Alameda and for that I give it 2 snaps and a head wave.

The price, yogurt flavors, toppings, and décor are all standard for any other self-serve yogurt place, but the big difference are the waffles! I had the pandan waffle which was hot & crispy on the outside and chewy & yummy on the inside! Pandan is a type of leaf used in many SE Asian desserts – so good with coconut milk! Anyway, the people here are nice and the price is right! I’d be back :)

Recently went back here this past weekend … haven’t been in ages per my old review… and it was still great… They have birthday cake and pineapple flavors this time around… it was good… but I didn’t combine that… I just went with the birthday cake plus cookie dough… and they also have these new toppings… lychee and mango poppers. That was weird! They’re pretty much tiny balls filled with lychee and mango flavor inside. Other than that… friendly server and it’s unfortunately that she had to deal with unruly kids that pretty much left a mess… I suggest visiting it at night instead of day … when the unruly kids are gone annoying their parents.

You know you are a fro yo hound when you visit the same place two nights in a row. I figure if Greg G. of Alameda can do it why can’t I. First night I was perfecting my barbq skills for Labor Day weekend and decided to make a nightime to Fruitti Yogi visit after doing the brbq jam session. I created a concoction of Raspberry, Pomegranate & Dolce de leche with assorted toppings(nuts, jellies & chocolate chips). Yumms! Second night it was chinese food and a walk around the downtown block. Somehow ended up at the same place. Knowing that there was a pre-season football game on the mounted flat screens made it a better reason to visit. I created almost the same concoction but substituted the Dolce de leche with tart. I was thinking I would see Greg G visiting, maybe next time…

If the prefix of your store is FRUITTI, you better have some good juicy fruit &LOTS of it! Sadly, FruttiYogi did not deliver enough GOOD fruit: –Itty bitty pieces of kiwi and strawberries, they were the ONLY fruits appetizing –Mango also itty bitty, but was not fresh and juicy, unripe and more yellow than orange –MANY canned fruits. WHAT??? –Cheesecake flavor was like VANILLA –Graham cracker GRANULES not crumbs. Pluses: –Friendly and helpful staff. –Good tart yogurt. –Interesting flavors some with energy enhancements. –No minimum for credit cards.
