I am totally shocked by the above review.
My experience was great. Dr Nolan cooled my chin and applied numbing cream to my upper lip before treatment. He uses the Cutera system (which is what is advertised). I had some redness after the treatment which was pretty much gone within two hours.
He explained the procedure to me and it was not rushed.
The individual treatment session prices were good and the package prices were excellent.
Big plus –very easy parking — and it is located near Southshore Center in Alameda.
Of note, I have had laser before at another place — I was very satisfied with them. I only switched over to this office because of scheduling difficulties. But realistically, I was much more comfortable with Dr Nolan, I will keep up treatment with him,

If I could leave this place a zero I would. The receptionist Monica is as incompetent at her job as if a 12 year old child was doing her job. The place is completely empty but she doesn’t pick up the phone and not so often replies to emails.
I convince myself to make an appointment because of the prices are so low. The day of my appt and I am excited for my appt and I walk in the empty office and Monica is there and as helpful as she is through prior phone and email conversations. I asked her before I went in if they had a book of pictures of their before and after results; she says yes and when I arrived she says «Here is the before and afters.» When I looked at these pictures they are from the Fraxel website for the «re:pair» and «re:store» treatments but this location only has the «re:fine» I asked him knowingly that this pictures weren’t his and that they weren’t from the «re:fine» treatment if there were and he LIED and said they were! Once a person lies to me about a procedure they were suppose to do on me I lose respect.
1. Monica is an incompetent employee
2. The place looks scary and is plastered with word document printouts telling you that they will charge you for things that should be free.
3. The doctor is a liar
4. The pictures they show you are for different lasers that they don’t have to offer but claim they are.
RUN!!!
