Dr. Nolan is the most committed surgeon I have ever met. I interpret for Spanish-speaking patients and have seen how different doctors work with their patients. Yes, Dr. Nolan makes their patients wait, but that’s because he takes the necessary time with each patient and makes sure they get the care they need even if it’s fighting with the the complicated and inhumane worker’s comp system. He will give you the medicine first and fight to get paid later. That’s a Doctor not a business man and he has earned my respect. Other doctors might not make you wait, but they will be looking at their iPhone pictures while you talk to them. Like this other one in San Ramon –Norris Canyon Rd. So, you choose.

Dr. Nolan is a great surgeon, he did two back surgeries on me. It’s been over 10 years since my last one. I am having back pain again and am really on the fence about going back to him becuase of the wait. Back then the wait time was more like 2 ½ hours. Dr. Nolan is a great Dr. becuase is a strong advocate for patients, he will fight the insurance company to get what is best for you. As far as what Sugar E wrote about the PA, they have a long history together, he was there 10 years ago when I was being treated by Dr. Nolan. All his patients love him and he fixes them. Like i said, I really would like to go back but I have a full time job and three kids now and cannot afford to sit in a watiting room for a long time.

This guy was charming, except for when he called the African American PA working with him«boy». He treated the patient I accompanied with respect, but he made a room full of patients wait for an hour while he did so. I don’t know anything about his skills as a surgeon, but his social skills could use a refresher course.
