Subway

Hands down one of the best Subways I’ve ever been to!!! Two young men were working. I was greeted upon entering by the guy sweeping the floor and the other made my AMAZING sandwich. We will officially be driving out of the way to come here.

My boyfriend and I have been faithful Subway eaters and we frequented this location because it is so close to where we live/​work and we always have a good experience. I came into the restaurant about a week ago to order 2 sandwiches and had to keep repeating my order due to the language barrier (not a big deal). Anyway, as I watched the sandwiches being made and toasted, something didn’t seem right but I tried to pay no mind. When I got home (2 blocks away), both sandwiches were room temp, the meat was cold, and the qualify of the sandwiches were not good. My boyfriend took my receipt and card to get a refund, and the two young women whom were working were not helpful at all. They completely stonewalled my boyfriend saying they don’t do refunds, that it was our fault that the sandwiches were cold/​not good, and they needed to speak with me since I purchased them even though my boyfriend had my card and receipt. They did not even OFFER to make new sandwiches for us. They took the receipt to the back, and when my boyfriend went to leave he asked for the receipt back. The woman told him she gave it back to him. He told her she didn’t and emptied out his pockets to show that he did not have it. Then she said she could not find the receipt. He asked her to check in the back because we wanted to keep the receipt. He also asked to speak to a manager, and they told him no. When he said he was going to have to call the Subway Corporate Offices for assistance in this matter, she finally gave him the managers information. These two women had no manager overseeing them and their customer service, and they had ZERO accountability. When we spoke to the manager after days, she basically told us that they wouldn’t refund us our money for the sandwiches we never ate and that we can go ahead and call corporate. The franchise owner spoke with us today, was upset that the manager told us to call corporate and offered to make us free sandwiches, but we were so disappointed with the way we were treated that we declined and let him know we would not return to this establishment. I don’t think I have ever been left with such a bad taste in my mouth by a restaurant than this Subway, and the lack of customer service is absolutely shocking. Pro Tip: the franchise owner and the manager are married so BEWARE!

I’m not much for chain sandwich shops, but this Subway location is one of the best places to get a quick, affordable meal with a smile. The staff is very nice here, they don’t seem to mind waiting while you decide and they do a great job keeping the dining area and their workstations clean and tidy. Also, this is the only Subway location in this area that has $ 3 six inch sub specials :)

Who said there’s no such thing as a «FREE» lunch? Getting ready to have mine right now… Thank You gift card! Got the $ 6.00 meal deal… 6 in. Black Forest Ham sandwich with all the trimmings. A tall Raspberry Ice Tea and my choice of chips. Good service. Clean establishment. Now, let me eat!

Came in to order the guy helping us was great. However, the owner and wife came in to assist and the wife was rude. She made my sandwich with ab attitude, and overcharged for somethings. I let the worker know and she calls her and of course said, it was no mistake. I will make sure next time to let them know you will not overcharge and not explain why! If I do return!

This is a nice Subway. It is located at a good location. Nice layout and ok workers. The service was good.

Very fast service, and they don’t skimp out on meat and veggies. Very clean and employees are very nice. Plenty of seating and a good place to grab a bite in between shopping or during your lunch break!

It’s a subway and they pretty much are all the same in my experience. This one is very closest to my house so I frequent it the most often.
THE GOOD:
The staff is usually very attentive and friendly. The dining area is almost always clean. The food is fresh and yummy and the selection is good. Plus as an Alameda resident you get coupons in the mail for this location (yeah! All about saving $$$). Plus Starbucks is right there, Win-​Win!!!
THE BAD:
Seating can be tough as there is only a few real tables. Then there are these strange mini couch things that don’t seem comfortable to eat in.
THE UGLY:
The bathrooms are disgusting. Worse than most public bathrooms –YUK.
I wish the bathrooms were cleaned better and although seating can be tough sometimes I am happy to eat my sandwich on one of the benches outside (provided by the shopping plaza). Overall I do like this location and will return often.

This subway was OK, when it first opened but the service has gone downhill, I stopped going here a couple months back because they are very stingy on what they give you but didn’t feel it deserved a bad review on Unilocal.Tonight I was in a rush and decided to give them one last chance. I ordered the meatball, the kid put NO sauce on there, forgot my cheese, and left off the salt pepper oil vinegar. REALLY ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? They weren’t busy but I had moved up in line to look at the veggies to see what i wanted I didn’t know i had to watch him like a hawk.
I called the shop to speak with the manager and she just laughed and said ’ what do you want me to do’. REALY !!! I want you just to say sorry to hear that. Is that really too much to ask?
I don’t know why the one on park street has bad reviews, but they have gotten SO MUCH BETTER they pack it on to the point that they almost can’t close the sandwich and are super super friendly!
GO TO THE PARK STREET LOCATION INSTEAD!

Best subway I have been too. Nice store on the back side of south shore center by star bucks. I always have great service at this location. Employees are friendly and actually put a decent amount of meat and condiments on there sandwiches. They keep me coming back.
