I’m living near by, so its was natural for me if I’m in a mood to a hotdog, to get one over there, and boy my experience was just terrible, didn’t like the taste and don’t let me start taking about the service which was on the verge of strange, hope u do better in the future.

This is my fist time leaving reviews on Unilocal and I had to after this time of eating here. The food was not bad but I drove 15 min to get here and went through the drive through only to get home with only 2 hotdogs not the 3 I ordered. This happens to people all the time I understand that but I decided to call hoping they would replace it or give me my money back. The guy on the phone asked his employee if he put 3 in the bag. He replied to me that he did put it in the bag. So he thinks I’m calling to drive 15 min to score a extra hotdog. It’s supposed to be customers always right. It’s really bad customer service when they can’t replace a $ 3 hotdog

Wienerschnitzel has been at the top of my list of favorite fast food restaurants for as long as I can remember, and this specific location just happens to be one of the better ones around. This establishment is staffed by friendly workers who always manage to process orders in a timely manner and always keep the lobby and restrooms clean, no matter how many workers are on the schedule for the day. I enjoy eating everything on their menu, but always find myself returning to the classic chili dog and corn dog, both of which take me right back to the simpler days of elementary school. Also, this location sells the entire Tastee Freeze frozen dessert menu;complete with daily specials, so head over here and grab a bite to eat and a treat to satiate your sweet tooth.

This restaurant has good food but has very bad service. There were only 2 people working who were multitasking.

Quick and easy spot for me to get away from big crowds. Quaint spot off Webster and doesn’t get overly busy so I can eat in peace while on lunch. It’s fast food so food is manageable. Service is great and the owner is hands on. I’m a frequent diner here so I’m a bit overdue on this review. Being that I do work in Alameda I am a bit bias but the service alone keeps me coming in. Not to mention I know when the peak hours are. I typically beat the rush before 11am and if I’m late I go after 1. I hate crowds so I go when I’m free or when it’s not busy. Going to lunch in uniform isn’t my favorite thing to do. It’s not like pinks in LA but I like them better then Casper’s. Nice spot and easy on the wallet.

this place isn’t the most savory… but it is a decent fast food joint. i like their chili cheese burgers, the chili cheese fries? not so much. perhaps if it was given more care into making the foods, but it is a fast food place can’t expect much.

Steer clear of this place! My wife and I were in a rush so we decided to stop at the closest fast food place. It just so happened to be this particular Weinerschnitzel. It took 20 minutes from the time we placed our order to get our food. The crazy part was there was only one car in front of us. Apparently the drive thru speaker is busted so they only captured one of the three things I ordered. This next part is not for the faint of heart. I have now been throwing up most of the evening. I should have known better than to try the fish and chips, but I just didn’t feel like having anything else on the menu. The fish didn’t look quite right. It had a dark line down the center, but common sense did not prevail and I scarfed it down. About 6 hours later I start getting the sweats and I’ll spare you the details. Yes, I know my pain was somewhat self-inflicted.

Ordered the blue cheese bacon hot dog and it was cheesy yummy delicious! My husband got the chicago dog yum! The curly fries is nice and crispy and drinks are refillable! Also service is excellent, fast, and friendly. I would definitely come back again for sure, and need to try the bbq bacon hot dog. There is a parking lot in the back and plenty of seatings.

I’ve never thought of myself as a fast-food girl but I can honestly say that I’d be here all the time if there was a location in the SF peninsula area, closer to SF!!! Alameda is too far away for hotdogs, sadly… They had so many different kinds of hot dogs. I wanted to try all of them but I got the Junkyard Dog. It was only $ 0.20 cents more than the Chili Cheese dog(I think). I don’t remember really since I didn’t pay. But I was expecting a bigger hot dog… the hot dog, itself,(the meat) was smaller than I expected. But I guess it’s worth the $ 2 something. It was filling but I also had the ice cream cone and the Curly Fries, which were both very good as well. WHYAREN’T YOULOCATEDINSF!!! I would choose hotdogs over McDonald’s and Taco Bell ANYDAY!!! PS — it’s also super cool that they have an «outdoor» section that they share with Subway’s.

When you really, really just want a cheap corn dog. These guys are the place! The store is run down(the drive through speaker broke in the early 90’s so just pull on up to the Window) the hours are sporadic(drive thru is NOT open to 12am! Try 9:30pm) but damn are the prices ever cheap. $ 5.55 for 5 corn or chili dogs: dealer’s choice! Or 59c dog’s all day Sundays! What’s more they are Foster Farms which are the best corn dog brand. Okay Pogo is not bad either. So if you like shitty hot dogs this is your place!

I don’t usually eat at Weinerschnitzel, but there was no place to park, so I used the drive-thru. I ordered the Ultimate Chili Burger, Curly Fries, and Chocolate shake. SOHOWWASIT? The curly fries were excellent, hot, and very generous. The shake was nice and creamy. But the burger? OMG… very salty. I couldnt even taste any beef flavor. Small burger… I didn’t even finish it. Whole order… about $ 10

These guys are always very friendly and the chili dogs are AWESOME. I love that this has the whole chili dog/dairy queen combo thing going on. No better way to wash down a chili dog than with ice cream. The gentleman who is usually there is so friendly. It’s also great that they have a drive through. I didn’t notice it at first. Definitely a place to check out.

I haven’t had wienerschnitzel since sophomore year in high school, so since I live by one now, I decided to go check it out. I’m a big fan of corn dogs so the 5 for $ 5 got my attention. First time I went there, I order a corn dog meal. The corn dog was alright, I thought it would be whole lot different but it’s just like buying a frozen box of corn dogs at the super market and such. The fries was eh okay, not the best. It was a lady that helped me, service was alright, not the type that will make your day at least. Second visit was a guy that helped me. He seems so bored. He didn’t ask if it was to go to dine in, so he assume it was to go. while eating there, I’ve notice a sign that says 30 mins to eat there, since when did they do limits on customers dining in? Seriously, not every one finish their food in exactly 30 mins. Other than that, it’s an alright place if you don’t want to guy buy a box of corn dogs.

I was starving and looking for a Chicago dog which is my favorite one. When I clearly and politely ordered a Chicago dog, the manager name Fred Chow asked me «Chicken dog?» I was like what? Are you seriously carrying chicken dog? After I corrected him that I wanted a Chicago dog and a soda, he printed the receipt and threw it on the counter instead of handing it to me, and also there was no thank you at all. Do not come here. There store is dirty and the parking lot is empty. I’d rather come to Subway next door since the staff there are really nice and have good customer service. No wonder why this place is going out of business soon.

A three is a good for me at a fast food restaurant. I’ve only been through the drive through, but have gone many times. The food is pretty decent for fast food. I am really impressed that there has consistently been very good, fast, friendly service. I just don’t expect good service at a fast food place, especially when staffed by high schoolers. Yet, my impression is that they do a good job picking some nice, conscientious kids to work there. This really, really impresses me and will help assure that it is one of my top fast food choices for Alameda.

I have not been to a Wienerschintzel since I was a kid. I literally don’t remember the last time I ever went to one, but I never forgot! No, I never forgot. On my trial of life, I’ve only come across a few, but never an actual opportunity to actually have it again. I moved to Oakland a year ago and decided to drive up Park Blvd in Alameda. My eyes lit up when I saw the glorious Wienerschintzel! Yet, I never went. I didn’t want to deal with the hassles of Park Blvd. So I never went. Until Thursday night. I was in Alameda for a class and thought of where I should grab some food afterwards. I quickly remembered the Wienerschintzel! I pulled up my Unilocal app to see if the one on Park Blvd. was close to where I was going to be. I was sad to see that that location had closed. But all hope was not lost! There was one on Webster. One that was close to where I was going to be and that is more convenient to where I live. I was so delighted and had the hardest time thinking of what to get. So I got an order of 6 mini corn dogs and a junkyard dog. My only issue with my experience? That I didn’t get more than what I original ordered :(

got a flyer in the mail from wienerschnitzel. remembered eating tons of their dogs in my youth. also wanted to try out their soft serve softies. sampling: small soft serve cone.79, regular .99? –they have a couple of sizes, toppings, even chocolate dip cones. –soft serve: creamy, smooth, not too sweet, tasted a lot like foster’s freeze. the cone tasted exactly the same. 3 stars –chili dog and fries combo(ad/1.29) *chewy, thin, bland dog, canned chili sauce, regular soft bun ala rainbo?. a disappointment. –thin, crispy, salty fires. 2 stars(not a fries fan) leftovers: –taste buds may be changed or food standards here changed(for the worse). food unsatisfactory to me –soft serve acceptable, tastee freeze brand? –friendly, puzzled look, service from latina. –probably a nonpeat, unless i get another ad.
