Great service and great traditional pizza, busy but accommodating. They gave us garlic rolls for being patient while they were busy. So we were pretty happy!

Very great pizza. We got a large pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni, and banana peppers. It was ready in about 20 minutes, and they gave a playing card out assigned to your order(rather than take your name or give you a number). The staff was super friendly and very nice. The garlic knots were raved about on Unilocal.I did not find them to be anything special. They were very dry, and needed a sauce or to be brushed with butter. The pizza was very delicious. The large was too much for 4 people(it is recommended for 5 – 8 I believe). The price was the biggest downfall. It was just over $ 30 for 1 pizza and 6 garlic knots.

Good quality ingredients, actually real mozzarella not«100 percent real cheese, «whatever that means. Just ask for itv«well done,» way better that way. Salads are awesome but silly expensive.

Stopped in for for dinner on the way to Salem for a soccer game. The place smelled incredible as soon as we walked in. We ordered the garlic knots and a 12″ pepperoni for two. It was a great dinner for two in a pretty nondescript location. Well done!

I’m reviewing this place as someone who grew up in the pizza capital of the country(Scranton, PA) where there are pizza styles from New York style to Old Forge style and everything in between. There are close to 100 pizza places in city and surrounding metro area. As such, I have some high standards for pizza. In fact, I have yet to find anything in the Corvallis area that I would actually call good pizza. That said, PizzAmore has what is the closest to New York style as you’re going to get here. The crust is pretty good and they have a nice variety of toppings and specialty recipes. They have several sauces to choose from for your pizza, but they really aren’t that great, especially the red sauces. The standard pizza sauce tastes bitter to me, and the marinara sauce is bland once it’s on the pizza — probably because it’s thinner than pizza sauce. This is really unfortunate, because the sauce is one of the defining features of a pizza, and the poor-tasting sauces really drag down the pizza to the same level as Domino’s(and honestly, I think Domino’s has better pizza sauce). The pizza is also outrageously overpriced(but it seems like that’s what all of the local pizza places do). Having worked at a pizza place in the past, I can tell you that pizzas are very cheap to make when using wholesale ingredients. These pizzas are priced as if we were in NYC — but we’re definitely not. The fancier sauces and topping do cost more — but if you’ve ordered from PizzAmore before, then you know that those premium toppings cost more than the regular ones(and they cost ridiculously more). If the pizza tasted amazing, I wouldn’t mind paying so much. However, it tastes only marginally better than Domino’s and I can get that for half the price. Drinks are also way overpriced. Save your money and stop at a convenience store on the way to pick up your pizza if you’re getting takeout. On the plus side, the garlic rolls are awesome. So I do recommend this place — it does have the best pizza in Albany. However, if you’re from the east coast, you’re going to be very disappointed.

I have been here a few times and I have to say this is the best pizza I have tried out here in Albany. The pizza is garlicky perfection. It is a mixture of great pizza and crust that tastes like garlic bread. The crust is fluffy just how I like it. I have also ordered to go and the pizza tastes just as good as if it was hot out of the oven. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are friendly. Whenever I come there is a good amount of people eating in the restaurant.

I can’t believe I overlooked writing a review for Pizza Amore’. My family and I have been here many times and this is the first pizza place in Albany that we will usually suggest to go to on pizza night. It is the one we compare every other pizza place to in Albany. We actually had Pizza Amore’ delivered to the hospital right after we had our last child. They were more than willing to deliver to the hospital when others would not. A few days after we went home, I actually went back to the hospital and took the nurses a couple dozen garlic roles(which they loved). I love the salad and usually have to order a chicken Cesar salad with dinner. The pizza variety and quality are very good and the garlic roles are heaven. I haven’t tried the calzone yet but the sandwiches are good too.

The breadsticks are absolutely amazing! They’re little balls of dough, garlic, parmesan, butter and happiness. The pizza is delicious, cooked to perfection. It’s a very thick crust, which can very easily be undercooked and doughy. But this doesn’t happen here. They always cook it right. Which impresses me. Their food is just as good reheated the following day too. I recommend you heat the pizza in the oven instead of the microwave just because of the crust being so thick and to keep the consistency of it. The restaurant is always clean and well maintained. I’ve never seen it dirty or tables with plates stacked up. The service is fine, I’ve never had a problem there. I don’t think anyone goes above and beyond their job description, but they don’t hate it there or act like you’re an inconvenience. It’s a place we have been going to for quite a while and will keep returning too.

Yo so the girlfriend and I were in slow moving traffic from Eugene to Portland, following the USC at Oregon football game this past weekend. We hadn’t eaten in hours and wanted to get something we could pick up and continue driving. We tried Pizzamore and upon walking in, the smell is amazing. We got the meatlovers with mushrooms and all I can say is it was soooooo BOMB!!! If you’re considering eating here, just do it, trust me!

We were traveling back to Portland and wanted to have some great Pizza and Siri recommended PizzAmore. We were immediately greeted by amazing pizza smells and a very friendly staff. We ordered 12″ a half Hawaiian and half taco pizza. If we didn’t have to head back to the road we might have ordered another. Fresh ingredients, a great crust and unique taste made this a very fortunate stop.

The fettuccine alfredo is amazing here! Every entrée(to the best of my knowledge) comes with a side salad and six delicious dinner rolls. Definitely worth $ 11 in my opinion. I’m ordering again tonight because it was just that good!

I find it odd that when you order a grinder, you can choose between a salad, garlic balls or potato chips as a side. However, if you order a child’s pasta and ask to swap out the half dozen garlic balls for a salad — and even offer to pay extra for the salad so your child can have a healthier meal — they will downright refuse to make that substitution. It’s a shame. Although we like their food, we will no longer patronize this establishment.

Big hype and big disappointment. Really poor taco salad. Iceberg lettuce straight from a bag and smelled/tasted of chemicals. Garlic knots looked beautiful but were tough and chewy. Hard pass recommended.

I am not basing my review in the quality of food, it’s great! The reason I gave 3 stars is for the selection of grinders. Got the Amory grinder and it was really good. I just couldn’t quit thinking how much better it could have been. This is a pizza parlor, the amount of sandwich possibilities are limitless. Would really like to see some sort of Italian grinder with peperoni, peperoncini, and a creamy Italian dressing on the menu.

The garlic balls are pretty good, the calzone isn’t bad. The pizza itself isn’t great but it does have a good thick crust in it.

All I can speak for so far is their peperoni pizza, as I’ve only just gone here for the first time, and that what I got by the slice. At first I thought $ 3.75 for one slice of pizza was way overpriced, but then the guy behind the register showed me the size of their slices and I said yes please. These slices are huge, and all I got was one slice cut in half and I was glad I did. The quality of the pizza was way beyond what I was expecting for the low key reputation(I’ve never heard anyone talk about this place). The crust is perfect. Crisp and buttery, topped with beautifully seasoned sauce. Excellent quality, and quantity, of cheese and peperoni topped with parmasean and basil flakes. DELISH! I can’t wait to try their other types of pizza, and especially for the price! Highly recommend.

PizzAmoré is definitely one of the best local pizza joints. The pizza is, at times, is a little greasy but really good! The ingredients are fresh and the dough is yum! As far as the garlic knots are concerned, if you like garlic these are the best. Service is lacking at times, but I don’t make a habit of eating there all the time, so it’s a treat that’s enjoyed by the entire family and something we look forward to during the week.

The positive was the family style garden salad w chicken. We got ranch dressing and you can’t go wrong with that! Sole of my shoe + ranch would taste amazing. Either way, I thought it was a good salad. The pizza and garlic rolls in my opinion I could have done with out. They were those calories I felt weren’t worth consuming… but I did anyway. If I was smart I would have just got the salad and more beer. It seems like they have at least one rotational tap that was Sierra Nevada summerfest and once we floated that they replaced it with pyramid hef. The prices were right… not going to break the bank there.

As a long time costumer, I just want to say that I appreciate having a place like Pizza Amoré here in Albany. I find myself having lunch there about twice a month and I’ve made my way around the menu several times. I’ve had pasta, pizza, salads, and everything else. My go to lunch favorite is the Greek Chicken salad, but I have been known to stare at the menu hoping something might be different. The way I see Pizza Amoré is like this: PLACINGANORDER: the lunch counter style ordering is fine as long as it’s not busy. When they do get a rush you wind up standing for a while usually next to a table of people eating. I’ve never been keen on self serve plates and silverware –kinda icky to me-. FOOD: always solid and consistent. Almost to the point of too consistent. As a former East Coaster I will not make any comparisons, but I will say that I think they make a good pie(especially the five cheese). I always see a army of people in the back working dough and that leaves me feeling better than the pizzas that would arrive to my door in a box, and yes the garlic nots are little bites of garlicky goodness. DRINKS: big thumbs up for Pizza Amoré here. They always have a few decent beers on tap and they have great Willamette Valley wines to chose from(local means a lot to me). I don’t want to sound like I’m tearing them down but I am hard on restaurants that I like. If I didn’t like them I wouldn’t waste my time reviewing them. The one thing I truly crave from Pizza Amoré is to take the love and funkiness that is apparent and rework the menu. The«solid and consistent» is probably my way of saying boring. The menu hasn’t changed in years. The«limited time» bacon garlic nots have been available for well over a year. If I could, I would challenge Pizza Amoré to take the menu, look at every ingredient and really step it up. I’ve been around kitchens for a long time and I know what is SYSCO. I also know, with the army if employes present, how easy it would be to have everything fresh. From the cheese to the olives put your spin on more then the assembly. Test you cooks to think outside the box and let’s see at least a daily special. What I’m saying is our relationship is like a marriage. I was blown away at first but our love life has gotten monotones and I’m needing you to spice it up or I may go trolling to fill the void.

Good pizza. Garlic rolls were okay. Will go back for the pizza, not the rolls. Went back. Good pizza, lots of sauce. Good cheesy bread. Service is not very good.
