Well… Spinner’s is leveraging their’ position… but hires kids to do everything… they’re trying to get their’ first«date to the prom»…and people want quality pizza. Their’ pizza used to be good… probably as a fx of having a good professional cook… with proper amounts of sauce, cheese and nice crust… all of that is gone now… The 6-cut pizza… is so small, it «floats around in the box now; for $ 9.62?!»…one can finish it before getting home, after a 4 mile ride home… and then one says…“where’s the pizza… I’m sitll hungry?“ No…this is a «has-been place for pizza unless one is starving… I wish it wasn’t so. Little Anthonies in Albany is much better now… why? The owner is still working and keeping the quality decent. When the owners don’t participate in quality… the whole business flounders.

We got pizza catered to us from Spinners today. Large cheesy pizzas. The vegetable one was awesome minus some of the raw onions and burnt broccoli. I know that this pizza is filling. I cannot comment or review the service or business as it came to us, but when it arrived it was hot and fresh, and the crust had a nice garlicky taste to it. I would recommend this pizza spot to those who work or live in the area. It’s probably just as good in quality as my favorite Marino’s near home in Schenectady. I will come here for pizza while I am in Albany.

Best pizza I’ve had in Albany. I’d expect no less of the people who own Café Madison. The flavors were right on, and after three big pieces, I didn’t feel bloated or overly stuffed at all.

Surely Spinners is able to stay in business by being the only such take-out place in the direct vicinity. The pizza is atrocious, with rubbery, excessively doughy crust, and barely passable sauce. And the grim, flavorless choppings spread atop the«Veggie Lover’s» pie were nearly enough to make this long-time vegetarian question his dietary choices. Additionally, my middleschooler compared the mozzarella sticks to the culinary hate crimes served up by his own school cafeteria.

Best calzones and marinara sauce! Staff is always so friendly and polite. Never leave there hungry. Ohhhhh and the m&m chocolate chip cookies are the BEST!!!

Spinners thrives because it is the only food option for at least two miles in any direction, not counting Stewarts. For a West Coast gal like myself, the pizza is passable although not great. For New York? There is so much better out there. The crust was tough, the sauce was bland and there wasn’t enough cheese for my liking. The only redeeming quality in my view is the superb balsamic vinegar used in the vinaigrette dressing. It is smooth and not acidic. I didn’t realize cheap balsamic could be so divine, and as a result of this dinner I set forth to procure better household balsamic for myself. Spinners was very busy when we were there. They have a changing variety of cakes and a large selection of side dishes. I was impressed by the size of their salads and creative pizza toppings. As the first reviewer noted in 2008, the menu is huge and looks to be unchanged 8 years later. The tasty vinegar could not erase the memory of the pizza for me to return. I will travel a little farther next time for better pizza.

Love their chicken Caesar wrap. The dressing is not too creamy — just delicious! Wings are very good too. Great neighborhood place. Been going strong now for years.

I have lived in this neighborhood for almost 30 years and have been going to Spinners since it opened — never had a bad experience and always liked whatever I ordered. Their pizza is fantastic.

I give their pizza four stars and their sandwiches three stars. If you like pepperoni and jalapeños then definitely try the«jalaroni» specialty pie. I love how they add garlic salt to the closes crust. For some inexplainable reason there are always like 20 people working in the back kitchen, maybe because they have so many delivery customers. It’s next to a pharmacy so if you are waiting for a script to be filled, grab a slice and a soda.

I haven’t ordered from here in at least three(3) years, and now I know why. I ordered a pepperoni pizza pie to be delivered and it came with no pepperoni on it. I called them to request that I get the credit for the pepperoni back on my card, to which they said they would give me a credit«in their system,» which meant I would have to utilize their awful services again. I also kindly requested for the crust to be extra crispy but not black, and not only was it NOT crispy, but it wasn’t even brown. Their pizza was awful three years ago, it is awful now, and they left out a meat I paid extra for. No, thank you.

So I live about two minutes away. They told me 30 minute wait for pick up. I said no problem. I get here 4 minutes before the 30 minutes. Lady says air it’s going to be about 10 more minutes. So I say ok, purchase the food and go wait in the car. 11 minutes go by, I go inside. The kitchen staff have the coolers pulled off the walls with the covers just falling into the trays in the cooler. Cheese, and chilled perishables are now being contaminated. The girl says I’m sorry she said 20 more minutes she won’t even tell me what happen. So I ask if they will just deliver I’m 2 minutes away. They said no. So not knowing what is going on with my food and seeing food contaminated I will never order from that place again.

Not bad for a pizza shop in the area that offers hot/cold subs, salads, sandwiches, wraps, wings, hot apps, calzones, and even Italian style dinners. Some of the pizza choices are similar to other local pizza shops but having tried the Hawaiian with pineapple and ham(red), tomato bacon ranch(white), and broccoli pizza(white), they have all been satisfactory. The fried ravioli are pretty awesome… nicely fried and breaded pillows of goodness with a side of marinara. The buffalo chicken tenders were thick strips of meat + flavorful being only medium heat… but I would’ve preferred it to be hot. Usually we get our food to go, but most recently we tried delivery, which was a little slower than expected. I’m not interested enough to get the dinners or the calzones, but I’d like to get back and try some wings, salads, and more pizza. I also noticed they have catering so that may be a future option for my coworkers and I.

I was told when I made an order to go that it would take 15 – 20 minutes. I stood there for 30 minutes before someone said it would take another 3 – 4 minutes for my food to be ready. Then it took another 10 minutes. I told the woman at the counter that it took twice as long as she had told me, but I was so livid at having to wait and be late that I didn’t say more. The food itself was mediocre at best(I got a buffalo chicken calzone, crust was dry and hard to chew, fillings were lackluster in amount and flavor). Not worth the wait, I will not be going back.

Great food, decent prices, generally excellent service. I’ve been ordering from Spinners since the early 2000s and their food never fails to meet expectations. When ordering delivery, they usually say about 45min-1 hour but we usually get our delivery in half the time.

Yummy Food and Good Value — Slow Delivery Have enjoyed all orders so far — pizza, RB sandwich, Tuna Sub, salad. Delivery has been slow. I don’t know why but they seem to refuse to take the delivery instructions even if emphasized/repeated and show up at the wrong place.

Everything I’ve ever gotten from here whether it be pizza, apps, subs whatever has been so good… it’s one of my fav spots in Albany when I’m in that area.

The food is very good. If you could order, go in and pay by self-checkout this establishment would be great. The issue at hand is you wait. You. Really. Wait. In fact I had ordered a sandwich by phone and went in to get it at the time they mentioned. It was sitting in a bag on the counter. The girls behind the counter, although busy answering phones, barely address anyone standing, waiting. When they finally did get around to asking me if they could help me(and keep in mind I was standing right at the counter the whole time not hovering in the back like so many others do there because they are not sure who or when to speak to anyone to order of pickup) the sandwich had sat there for 10 additional minutes. I probably will not return due to the fact that this has happened a few times to me now. It is a shame because I like to patronize small businesses and this one could be so much better with a few customer service tweaks.

I stopped by Spinners Pizza, which is a casual neighborhood pizza joint located in a small strip plaza off Whitehall Rd. The place is order at the counter and there is a seating area in the adjacent room. The menu is extensive which offerings include traditional & specialty pizzas, calzones, salads, subs, appetizers, pasta dinners(with salad & garlic bread), deli salads, cold Pepsi drinks, and desserts. The prices here seem reasonable and they offer pizza slices & soda specials and large meal deals. I had an Entertainment coupon for 50 percent off regular price of a pizza. I decided on a 12 cut rectangular sausage pizza(normally $ 12.99, it was $ 7 total with discount and tax). I was not allowed to use the coupon for specialty pizzas. The place was very busy on a Saturday night, so it took about 25 minutes for my pizza order to be ready. The pizza itself was good. The semi thick garlic crust was chewy & soft inside topped with plenty of cheese and ground sausage. However, there was very little tomato sauce on the pizza, definitely needed more for the pizza to be better. The pizza slices were good reheated for several snacks and small meals on the cheap. I also had tomato sauce at home to dip the pizza slices. I may return to Spinners for dinner.

We get the pizza and wings from here all the time. Definitely a great pizza place. They have some awesome sandwiches too, e.g. The Italian Bomber. Great little hidden gem. Better to get take out. In my opinion delivery takes way too long.

Since moving away from downtown Albany and into the«burbs», Spinners Pizza & Subs has quickly become my go-to take-out pizza joint. Here’s why: –They are very close. –They are impeccably fast(outside of weekend evenings). –Great coupon specials. –The garlicky crust. –Sheet or Pie style And while many local pizzerias around here try to unsuccessfully imitate the beloved thin-crust NYC style(overrated anyways), Spinners doesn’t try to be anything it is not. They are proud(as far as I know) to just be a neighborhood Albany pizzeria.
