The staff at Treviso are all amazing. I bring residents from a local nursing home regularly and the service they provide to us is outstanding. They are always so accommodating, friendly and professional. I also come regularly with family, including a few small children and the staff is always wonderful. The food for both the Sunday Brunch and the Monday Grand Italian Buffet is absolutely delicious!

Review update: After reading my review the manager wrote me immediately offering a apology and 3 gift cards to come back and give them another chance! Well we did! And I was impressed!!! I wanna say, we went to try out the Italian Buffet offered on Monday night! It was very very good! Enjoyed the abundance of Italian dishes offered. The eggplant parmigiana was excellent! The cold calamari was so tender and tasty. They had a pasta station, a carving station as well that offered Prime rib, and a pork Roast. So many choices! I felt like I was at a wedding! The desert table was the highlight! Changed my mind completely about the experience I had a few months back, with Sunday brunch. The service was great, the food was great, and I definitely will go back again for Italian Monday’s! This was my original review below! First off I must say the food was good. The food that they ran out of at such a early hour I can’t really comment on. I’ll start off as saying, I had 1:00 reservations. I arrived 5 minutes early. Wasn’t seated until 1:20. They seemed frazzled. The hostess left her post for long periods of time, leaving the waiting guests wondering what’s going on. When seated, a few minutes later, a waitress came by and cheerfully explained the buffet. So abruptly, that I was extremely embarrassed he took over telling her, this was his table! I really couldn’t believe he didn’t let her finish. ITS A BUFFETBRUNCH(Self serve) Don’t understand this move by him. I was truly bothered, and embarrassed for this girl who was stepping in trying to pick up the slack. She look mortified. Funny that he wanted our table so bad, cause we never saw him again. Never. I was very disappointed that they ran out of Shrimp and filet mignon, and ham. Several people were talking to «management«about their disappointment. I too wanted to talk to him. When I saw the manager, I too told him about the shortage of food. His explanation was this never happens and people just ate a lot today. He was surprised too. As a cook, you substitute what you must. Coming in looking forward to filet mignon I don’t want to hear excuses… Change the price to those who never got the meat or shrimp. Do something. Offer something? Furthermore, I also discussed the rude waiter, and how I didn’t like clearing our dishes. He left, much to my surprise, not taking care of our complaints, or at the least making us feel like gee we should come back. What he did do was say something to the rude waiter. Well, the waiter came to us once again making me feel uncomfortable. He said, they are all family and the girl didn’t get upset by it. I said, I thought it would have been nice if he just let her finish, then take the table over. I said, I felt bad for her that she got so embarrassed. Well, after that she came over to apologize, for him??? Then she said he gave her the table back. I think that’s funny cause he realized he blew the tip. Pretty sharp ! Can’t make this stuff up. Crazy! Bottom line is he charged us for two dinners, instead of 3. He never came over to tell us, never came over to say, hey sorry, it’s on me. Nothing. Even with the 1 free dinner, we left feeling disappointed. Just so disappointed that he didn’t do what was right. He never made us feel better. A customer never wants to feel ripped off. 23.99 a person for bacon & eggs buffet, no deal. We paid 50.00 bucks for 3 expensive eggs. He should have comped our bill, and told us to come back and give them another try.(23.99 for the buffet which includes what they said, was a nice deal. Except get there early.) Things happen in the kitchen, but whenever a customer feels ripped off, you eat that! Not the customer. You would gain a customer for life. Not only that. A disappointed customer will tell everyone they know over and over. A satisfied customer will tell a few. It’s just the way it goes. Bottom line. The manager blew this, and his rude waiter should have never came back to the table once again to embarrass me ! Shame on you guys!!!

I went to the Sunday brunch yesterday and loved it! There was a huge variety of brunch options and I enjoyed everything that I tried, so I cannot imagine that anyone could not find something that they would love. In addition to the food, I had amazing service! The manager, Sasha came around and talked to everyone, which I really appreciated. My server, Teyana, was also very nice and seemed to care about each customer. I cannot wait to go back and I am also looking forward to trying their Monday dinner buffet.

Treviso is no longer open for lunch or dinner except brunch on Sunday and a buffet on Monday night, per Mallozzi staff by email. Treviso’s phone dumped my call repeatedly when I tried to call for reservations today.

We have had quite a few good meals at Treviso. Our favorite is the Thursday night take home family meals for less than $ 30. Order before 4pm, pick it up by 6. They package it beautifully, and the staff are experts in managing the large crowd, literally in and out in less than 5 minutes. I would stack their chicken parm against just about any other offerings in the area. We recently catered a party through Treviso. Our contact was Amanda Kruzinski and she went out of her way to make sure that we were happy and guaranteed our status as loyal customers.

Their new Sunday brunch buffet is awesome. I am not a breakfast person and I still ate lots of food there

Today was the first day for the Sunday Brunch at Treviso’s and I have to say the Mallozzi’s knocked it out of the park. The food was fresh and delicious. They was a salad bar, hot foods, seafood area with cold smoked salmon, shrimp and glazed salmon. There was also your breakfast table with sweet potato hash browns, eggs florentine with apple wood smoked bacon, sausages; an omelet station, carving station, Belgian waffle station, and dessert table with cakes and pastries from Villa Italia. This is a must go to brunch and for the price of $ 21.95/person you will get your money’s worth. From what I hear, selections will change week to week. So make your reservations abs check it out.

Lunch is a bargain — soups, salads, sandwiches and a nice selection of Italian classics. Portions are generous but not overly so. The stellar service and general ambiance made us feel welcome and appreciated, and we all left feeling happy.

This is the best Italian Restaurant in the Capital District. I went there Saturday for a small family celebration dinner. Even though the restaurant was very busy, our service was excellent. Food was fabulous and plentiful. Four of us had to take most of our meal home. I will be back soon.

I have to say that I was quite impressed with the Monday buffet. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. They have a great selection of items and everything was fresh. We went early and it was already packed. Some of the selections: Fresh tuna, salmon, mussels, seafood salad, meats, cheeses, olives, roasted peppers, fresh greens with all the accompaniments for a salad, carving station included roast beef and turkey with horseradish sauce, cranberry sauce, gravy, a pasta station, eggplant and chicken parm, white fish with risotto, sausage and polenta, ravioli, potatoes, bread, and a great assortment of villa italia desserts. I probably forgot a few things but for under $ 20, this is a great meal. We had a nice bottle of chianti for $ 12. I docked a star because I think the place needs an update.

Excellent experience here. Our waiters(one in training) were fabulous. Made every effort to make the birthday experience very pleasant fir the birthday girl in the group. Including candle on the desert without being asked. The ravioli alla vodka and the chicken pArm were quite good. The waiter Sasha put up with a lot of good natured ribbing. The pre meal bread is delicious Can’t wait to try the buffet on Monday nights.

My fiancée and I went to Treviso on Monday to celebrate and he has always wanted to go to the Italian buffet. I had been a couple of times at the Malozzi location in Schenectady and once at Treviso a couple of years ago and it was really good. I had been looking forward to it but I was very disappointed. First, the server was a bit lost and confused. It took a while to get a drink order. We both wanted a glass of the house Pinot Grigio which the server informed us it was $ 6 a glass or $ 12 a bottle. We ended up purchasing the bottle since we were having two glasses anyways, and the server stated he would be right back with our glasses. I had to remind him a couple of times that we would like the bottle and he responded, «Oh yea.» The appetizers were pretty good with one exception. The salami tasted a bit old and bad, so after having a bite, I just left it on the side of my plate. Okay, I get it happens but it is an Italian buffet so it really shouldn’t. I gave them a pass with it. When I went to get the dinner portion, the options were fine but the food was lukewarm at best. I understand it is a buffet, it started at 5 and we were eating around 5:45PM. The food just wasn’t hot enough. Like I said I had been multiple times before and never had this issue. The buffet is not new, has been around a while for years so they should have this down by now. It was really disappointing. Also, the chicken parm was seriously a chicken finger with sauce and cheese. Bad, just bad. Treviso is at the Italian American Community Center and it is an Italian buffet, just bad, they should know better. I was going to give this place three stars but one thing upset me more than anything else. The desserts weren’t great and there were NOCANNOLIS. How can you have an italian buffet without cannolis. I was looking forward to my cannoli all night as it is a special treat and I was deprived of the most italian dessert they can have at an italian buffet. So at this point, I was mad that there were no cannolis. I was taking my fiancée out to dinner for his celebration so I was mad that I paid a good amount of money for old salami, cold food, and bland tasteless desserts. The only thing that could have saved this was a cannoli and there were none. Never again…

The atmosphere was very classy, music was perfect. Place was clean and well kept. The service was top notch and food was AMAZING… I feel like its a great place for date night, dressy or casual, and the pricing was perfect. Almost under priced when taking the full experience into consideration. Will go there over & over again!

I visited this place on a Saturday night and it was busy but the food and service was great. Our meal came with salad and garlic bread just like Olive Garden but it was 10 times better. I ordered the pasta special which was made with fresh homemade pasta and a pesto/basil sauce. I was my first taste of fresh pasta and it was so worth all the calories in the dish. I also tasted my mom’s veal and eggplant dish and my uncle’s eggplant stuffed with ricotta and both were delicious. I had to save room for cannoli and it was worth it. I wish there was location closer to me in Washington, DC but I will definitely be back the next time I visit Albany.

The Grand Italian buffet here on Mondays is quite good. Granted you have to temper your expectations a bit, since it is a buffet, it means that some of the food may sit out there for longer than perhaps is optimal. That being said, it’s still a great deal for extraordinarily simple, well-done, and I would surmise, fairly authentic Italian cuisine.

Food was great. Had an Italian buffet for a surprise birthday party for my sister. Eggplant parm stood out! Nice people. Good service.

I’ve only been to the Grand Buffet on Mondays, so I have no idea how great or terrible the place is on standard nights. The restaurant is just inside the Italian American Community Center. Buffet and seating in one room directly ahead. A more restaurant-feel room on the right for overflow. Plenty of parking. Reservations suggested. Some places are closed in Albany on Mondays, but that’s ok. They can’t compete with what Treviso is offering anyway. Beef, chicken, seafood, pasta, salad, dessert, and other things for $ 20 with soft drink & coffee included. There is one table full of salad and appetizers and another with entrees. There are also staffed carving and pasta stations. The desserts come from Villa Italia. The quality of all of the food is absolutely superb. I’d never seen larger strawberries in my life. They’re amazingly tart and sweet. Weird to mention strawberries considering all of the other stuff? Well, you just have to see and try one. Also the penne a la vodka. It’s made of awesome. I do have a few complaints. The food can be cooler than expected after sitting in a not-quite-hot-enough chafing dish for a few minutes, likely due to people leaving the lid off. The dessert selection gets rather limited towards the end of the night(only open 5pm-7:30pm), so those who prefer dining later probably won’t get a full selection of desserts. It feels less like a classy restaurant and more like a wedding reception, but I guess it’s difficult to turn a buffet into anything else.

I went to this place because of my job. And I had the chicken parm. I don’t know how a cook can screw up something as simple as that but screw it up they did. The chicken tasted old as if it was frozen for too long. The sause sucked. I’ve had better sause out of a jar. The only thing I liked was the dessert. I had to rush home after eating here because shortly after eating here the food gave me diarreha.
