Country Inn & Suites by Carlson-Albert Lea

Very nice place!
The staff was friendly from the front desk to the people making a great breakfast. Pool and hot tub were well maintained and clean. Room was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. Will definitely be back again!

We just happened to stop here for the night in a road trip back east. We look for places close to the highway, and we travel with a dog so we are always looking for pet friendly hotels. Country Inn and Suites met all the things we need and exceeded our expectations. From the young man he helped us with check in and answered any questions, the the room itself. The young man at the desk, Matt, was very nice and demonstrated old fashioned good manners. He was articulate and thorough and looked at us when he spoke to us, always with a smile. I am not picky about service, but I appreciate it when I run in to young people who have great customer service skills. I hope his boss sees this and commends him. They had snacks soap for laundry to buy that were inexpensive, and the room itself was priced very well. The room had a fridge, and a microwave and everything was spotless. In the morning they have a breakfast and I look forward to that! We will definitely look for this hotel chain again while we are on the road!

The Country Inn is a good place to stay if you’re traveling. It is a good price, which is negotiable. I was able to get them down $ 23. The room is clean and spacious. The shower and soap was a little annoying, because I felt like the soap wasn’t coming off. Other than that, my wife and I liked it. They also have parking. The hotel is also pretty close to the highway.

The staff was very professionally and courteous. This is a pet friendly hotel and also has a nice indoor pool. Would come back.

We stayed here on our way home from Minneapolis, where we had stayed in another Country Inns and had been very pleased. The room was nice and clean and quiet. We love the 24 hour coffee/​tea/​water in lobby. Did not have time to use the pool, it looked nice. The restaurant next door is a great choice.

First time staying at this hotel chain. No complaints. Hotel clerk was polite and did not complain when I asked about a military discount.
Arrived late at night, and departed very early, so I don’t have many helpful tips here. However, my room was neat and tidy. Hotel parking appeared to share the parking lot with a restaurant. I don’t know their affiliation.
Traveler Attention: take care to notice that the hotel is not accessible from the main route (US 65/​I-​35 Business). You will access the hotel parking area from the frontage road.
Appeared to be the best option in the vicinity. Not bad for the price.

$ 99 a night. Not worth it. A nice place but??? Stayed a few nights at full pop then realized I would be in town for at least two more weeks. Asked for weekly rate discount. They said that they offered no discounts. Soooo I took my business up the road for 360 a week and their rooms were just as nice. You have to price check the monkeys. I felt like I was buying a car.

Great value! Our vacation had to be cut a shorter but i had already made reservations. Front desk moved my reservation back a day no questions asked. Awesome amenities and great if you’re traveling with pets. We have 2 large dogs and it was only $ 20 (non-​refundable) for both of them. Can’t beat it!

Staff very friendly and efficient. Room not what I’ve come to expect from a Carlson hotel. Noisy and needed updating. Odd Oder when entering the room. Overpriced for what is offered. Will try another hotel on my next visit

Clean room, very nice staff. From what I’ve seen in the area this is one of the better hotels.

Not bad for $ 100. Good beds clean and free Internet. Rooms also had a refrigerator for customer use, which was nice and useful. Came with a very good complimentary breakfast including omelets.
