Very disappointing second try! The good thing; the quality of the food is good. It’s obvious they use good quality products. The bad: the service is poor at best. The kitchen staff and the wait staff are always confused when it comes to getting the food to the diners. The food comes out cold. 45 minutes for two. This is a local restaurant. I guess I’m not local enough for the same quality of service as described by others. This was our second try and we definitely won’t be back.

Looked on Unilocal for a local place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. It’s minus16 degrees outside, but warm in here! We were greeted from across the small restaurant by a very friendly waitress as we walked in the door. Nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Coffee was good, and continuously topped-off. My wife ordered a traditional eggs, bacon and hash browns … the hash browns were perfect. I had the chorizo hash skillet topped with eggs benedict. I’d recommend you give it a try.

When traveling I usually don’t get a chance to eat all that great but this place changed it. The Rachel Reuben and tomato basil soup were fresh, had great presentation and the flavor was out of this world. The owner is apparently a well know chef from the big city and it shows. The environment is casual but be prepared to wow your taste buds.

Delicious, sophisticated food, small town friendly. Couldn’t ask for more! I had the prime rib sandwich special served on marble rye with greens, blue cheese and mushrooms. It completely blew my diet but is with the extra time exercising!

Combine the atmosphere of a small-town diner with the delight of, what I am calling, gourmet comfort food and you will have the Prairie Run Café. I had a difficult choice narrowing down my lunch order as I wanted to sample so many of the menu items. First, the difficult choice between breakfast or lunch food. I decided upon a burger; but now which burger to select?! So many interesting flavors to explore. Be aware that they are only open until 2pm(currently) so if you’re going to enjoy a meal at Prairie Run Café you need to be there before the doors close! You won’t regret it. ***UPDATE*** Priarie Run Café is now offering dinner! Open till 8pm.

Awesome food and great service. Unique breakfast options plus all the basics. I had the breakfast Burrito and it was delicious and huge. Linda had the Walleye benedict and she loved that. Very reasonable prices for the variety and portion sizes. We will be back soon.

I read lots if great reviews on FB, so I HAD to try it out with a friend who was up here from out of town. I had the hash browns with an omelet. The hash browns were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, not oily nor burnt. The inside was also perfectly cooked and not mushy. They also added onions and would add bacon if I wanted it. The omelet was a special – with spinach, mushroom, brie, and hollandaise sauce(would’ve come with tomatoes too). YUM. I brought half of the meal home, and it was STILL great as leftovers from the microwave. I shared with my teenager, but had to fight him off beyond just a taste. My friend had the green olive and sour cream burger. She liked it. The burger came with a green salad and an interesting dressing. She said it was good and definitely different from the usual oil vinaigrette dressing elsewhere. We had a longer wait than desired, but it 1) was during a lunch rush with multiple larger parties(over 5). And 2) food is fresh and cooked to order. I will go back again with my family for breakfast or brunch. Then I’ll have to try their burgers after that!

This place use to be Patty J’s I really loved this place now not so much after my last experience. The server came up to us after we had scanned the menus for a while and recommended us their specials before we made our decisions. He talked me into their biscuits and gray and they roped my dad into there Omelet. After only about 10 minutes they had our meals(I was impressed) until I realized my biscuits and gravy which should have been called biscuit and gravy. Was Literally one biscuit cut in half with almost no gravy and a small side of hash browns for almost $ 10. Now on the other hand my dads omelet looked awesome and big I don’t know why that guy would even recommend me such a crappy dish and him a good one. Also this guy kept talking to us about how great this place was, how and where Patty J’s failed it was a little weird. Almost like he was trying to do some Jedi mind trick on me to like this place. It was really annoying and weird I just wanted to relax and eat my food. I almost told him I didn’t like the place because he just kept going and going. Now I will say he wasn’t mean but come on don’t be too Needy comes off bad to customers Case and point don’t recommend something that’s a rip off(1 biscuit little gravy and hash browns for 10 $ for a 25 year old 6’4250 pound man probably isn’t a good recommendation. I won’t be coming back unless I’m forced to.

Just wonderful fresh food. I have been in the area for over 12 years and lived with chains, fast food etc. Prairie Run, delivers fresh, tasty, food with some imagination. I had Huevo Ranchero this morning, it was not only good it was a flavor surprise. The service friendly and excellent. I’ll be back.

We had breakfast here for the first time this past weekend and the food was amazing. Steak was cooked perfect and the pork in the breakfast burrito had great flavor.
