Very nice food with a wide variety. I enjoyed a bahn mi AND a spicy southwestern bowl, while my friends had tacos, bratwurst, and masubi. The beer selection was small but good. It was a bit quiet on a Monday night, but check it out and help turn weeknights into a little get together at Adieux. The prices were excellent as well!

Bored one recent warm Saturday evening I strolled from home on my way to the movie theatre. A tasty creative FRESH sandwich only 5 bucks. A glass of wine and I was content. The guys who work there are always super friendly.

We came in around 9ish and ordered some food and drinks. They ran out of beef tacos and musubi. I was really hungry. But we ordered several other foods and that took a while to come out Cuban sandwich– bread wayyyyy too hard. it hurts Chips and guac– so fresh and goood! Curry sandwich– it was different but good! Gemmi– omg the dressing was delish! Bulbasuar– it was interesting, the bread wasnt hard so it was enjoyable. The service was a bit slow but it was fresh. Esp the gemmi and the guac. The ambiance was very loungey and chill. The couches are supppper comfy. LOL. I couldnt get up after sitting down after a long day of walking around the Balloon Fiesta so it was nice. They started to play some hiphop music towards the end when we were about to leave.

Tried this place for the first time and was not impressed. Was suggested one liquor that was suppose to be a great label I had never heard of. To me it would not have been any better than the well

Albuquerque’s best kept secret for healthy, delicious food after hours. It’s been a really long time since I’ve been so impressed & excited about a place to eat in ABQ opened late. I got the $ 5 Gemmi salad & was blown away, wow!

Excellent! I asked the staff what they would recommend for food(already new what I wanted to drink) and the recommendation was excellent! The Harissa sandwich had so much flavor with the green Harissa sauce and went perfect with my margarita plus the Caesar Salad was a great combination! They only had one Pino Noir but that was ok because it was very dry and flavorful! Definitely not a wine bar but the mixed drinks, beer, tequila and bourbon selection were really good! The staff were very attentive, friendly and informative. The atmosphere was spacious and the tables were also private. I will definitely have a return trip to Adieux!

Adieux not open for lunch? Lies, I tell you! I think they’ve since then updated their hours, but I came around 1:15 and was unable to check in, but I was there! I swear it! Well well well, a french name for goodbye and right next to my evening stomping ground(sometimes) Effex, I had to see what this little hidey hole was all about. On top of that, Groupon placed a sweet little deal in my palms, and who am I to resist? I spent $ 15 for $ 30 on Groupon, and thought the menu was going to be a little more pricey. Boy was I wrong! As others have said, $ 5 buck sammies! Get outta town! No, I don’t mean that Adieux. Stay, really. But yeah, with thirty bucks to spend, I had to order more than my tum-tum could handle. We got a caesar salad(a little too anchovie flavored for me, but for those who want that… this dressing is where it’s at!), green chile stew, fresh guacamole and chips, the SW torta, and the Cuban. All this food was paired with a couple of Abita Purple Hazes. Nom! The bartender/server(he was both) recommended it, and I’m sold. I’m currently hunting down bottles. When he described it, I was thinking: ehhh, too raspberry for me! But it really wasn’t. The crispness and hint of fruit was just enough. The alcohol content would be better sitting around a 5−6% instead 4.2, but this has nothing to do with Adieux. Alas, I digress. So back on track here. Plenty of tall table seating, spacious for the small place it is, fresh to death, cool location downtown, and an all around joy. I’m always looking for those fairly inexpensive places which provide such high quality food… and I found that here! The guac was killer. The green chile was spicy as all get out. YES! Adrenaline! I want more! The Cuban rocked my socks off. I left in flip flops. If it’s up to me, we shall never bid this place adieux. Come check it out!

I don’t know why I was the only kid in the neighborhood who had to grow up with my sister’s hand-me-downs, but it was pretty awful. Okay, so I didn’t have to wear her blouses or frilly sweaters, but the rest was fair game; if my sister could endure it, so could I. On top of this, my parents were seemingly color blind: pink was a-okay. During the icy Minnesota winter I schlepped my sorry butt to school in a pink jacket with pink mittens, pink boots and often pink snow pants. I received my first pair of hockey skates when I was nine years old. You understand what that means, right? While the rest of the guys were bloodying each other on the ice and busting teeth with sticks and pucks, I was… figure skating. In my sister’s skates. I had no choice in the matter. Mom, dad, I hope you’re reading this. Yes, I’m all your fault. For a very, very long time I think we Burqueños have felt that we had no choice in our limited downtown options, especially anything having to do with lunch or nightlife. «There’s nowhere to go,» «There’s nothing to do,» «It’s just a big frat house,» you know, that certainly used to be the case. But I’d argue that Adieux was one of the first, alongside Blackbird(R.I.P., oh how I miss you!) to flip the script. Adieux had everything we were bitching about: late hours, great drinks, creative food and a really urban, smart atmosphere with cool service, and as of late it’s just gotten better. Has anyone noticed that they have a five dollar lunch menu around here? Seriously, five dollars? And the sandwiches are delicious, some verging on stupendous. It’s everything you didn’t think you were worthy of. My first real bike was a dirt bike. And it was way, way better than anything my sister ever rode. I could literally make her eat dust. And I did, sometimes. Even if I was wearing her pink socks.

I’ve frequented Adieux twice both at Unilocal!functions, we don’t make downtown often or we’d be in more for sure. One was for dinner after the public art tour, today was the Unilocal flash mob. It’s locally owned, I recognized people there right away, that’s always a good sign. On this day we shared the green chile chicken stew and a chicken quesadilla both exceeded my expectations(the quesadilla was fantastic). There was a good level of activity yet our food was served promptly and orders were kept organized when we paid though there were more than one tickets at many tables. Thank you, till next time we bid you adieux.

This place is a diamond in the rough and more peeps need to sample their wares. Participated in the Flash Mob/CMYE on 4÷3÷15 at Adieux and was pleasantly surprised. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and specialized drinks. A very attractive space that is modern, uncluttered and comfortable seating. With such a large crowd, I thought the service would be slow, but not even close. The waiters were so prompt with orders coming out quickly and drinks were filled as soon as they were empty. A lot of creativity happening here with the sandwiches & drinks – I had the«Pully” – pulled pork with a light barbecue sauce and coleslaw on top between torta bread. I loved the taste, but it could have used a little more sauce. The price of this large sized sandwich was only $ 5 – outstanding. So, do yourself a favor and drop by. The menu is enticing and I’m sure you can find a delightful morsel.

I’ve had many super delightful experiences at Adieux. Until now, though, visits were always in the evening. Today, a group of buddies decided to flash mob for lunch and we had a wonderful time! Food & drinks at Adieux never fail at being fantastic! Service is excellent even when max packed. Everything is made with fresh ingredients with lovely presentation. The blueberry cocktail is the most delish divine treat! Already looking forward to next time at Adieux…

Very friendly bartenders here on the weekend nights. The kitchen is open late if you want a late snack. Decent prices on beer and they have a few local beers to choose from. The djs are usually good too. It’s a small kicked back place to chill on a Friday or Saturday night without having to deal with the central riff raff that usually hangs around down there.

I still really love this place and it’s certainly the best place to go downtown, in my opinion. The seemed to have changed a few things, but not necessarily in a bad way. They still have sandwiches, although they’ve taken the food to a way more casual place. The drink selections still seem good, although I miss the classiness that the food presentation used to have. Giving me something served in a paper container I would expect to get from a food truck does not say gastro-pub to me. I will continue to patronize this place, but maybe skip the food in the future and just grab something from one of the many food trucks downtown.

Adieux used to be a solid option downtown for lunch or before a show. The last time I was there earlier this year the food actually looked and tasted as good as the posted pictures would have you believe. We were craving the the nachos before the Dum Dum Girls show at Sister. They used to be available on the happy hour menu, but they would let you order them off happy hour for a couple bucks more. I was happy to see they changed up the menu(now just a few sandwiches, some hot entrees including the nachos and a few sides), forgoing the metal book they used to have. The menu actually looks really interesting: an Italian prosciutto sandwich with fig and tomato jam, a bahn mi sandwich, a carnitas rice bowl. The tacos and nachos had the option of beef, chicken, carnitas or pork belly for a buck or two more. We went with the pork belly nachos and bahn mi. My friend tried to order a beer, but they didn’t have a pilsner or anything light. We also heard someone at the next table order a Jameson, and the server said Monte Vista buys it all leaving nothing for any other establishment(which sounded bogus, but who knows?). To our deep disappointment, the nachos arrived looking nothing like what we remembered or like the posted pics. They came in a paper boat as did the bahn mi. Ok, so not having to do dishes means the presentation suffers… I can live with that. One bite told us it wasn’t just a downgrade in presentation. Chips were stale. Gone was the nicely spicy black bean purée and sour cream. The nacho cheese was obviously a low quality canned cheese. But by far the worst atrocity was the«pork belly». It’s extremely rare I need to spit something out. But this had a raw and old, almost metallic taste. I thought I was going to be sick. The bahn mi was served on an untoasted, barely warm panini bread. The pork loin was school cafeteria quality. The veggies had that non-vibrant color that indicated a fair amount of age. We barely ate any of either. We felt we needed to let them know about the funky pork belly. The server graciously said he’d ask the manager if he could do anything, but said it was just prepared today. He came back a few minutes later saying he couldn’t do a thing. When we paid, he did say he would take 30% off the tab, but that was still less than the cost of the nachos. Needless to say, I do hope they get enough feedback to revert back to the old menu and standards, but I’ll never be back to find out if they do. A real shame.

I loved the ambition that flowed through Adieux Café when it first opened. The barkeep I talked with was enthusiastic about the ambitious wines that would be served by the glass from their enomatic-style wine system, their cocktail program, and the food. Never tried the wine, but the cocktails were solid and the food was tasty. Full of flavor. My most recent visit will definitely be my last. Bartender was huffy, unhelpful, and charged me full price during happy hour. Seemed much more interested in greeting people just stopping in to say hello than paying attention to customers– which I get, I’m not your friend, but it’s absolutely no excuse to ignore and forget about the people sitting two feet away. It was one of the rare situations that I thought about not tipping at all. I’m in the industry, stiffing a comrade is a strong message from me. The falafel sandwich was uninspired; I was informed that the menu had changed about one week prior to my visit. The new menu is meat city– the falafel was the only vegetarian choice. With all the street food that’s beginning to pop up when it gets dark(finally!), why choose Adieux? I sure won’t.

Stopped here for a quick happy hour after work and they have really good drink and food specials. I ordered one carnita and one chicken taco. The carnitas were delicious and the sauce was the perfect touch. The chicken was not as flavorful so I would get the carnitas next time. Overall I was impressed. I’d come back again for dinner or another happy hour.

My first impression was that Adieux was suffering from a bit of an identity crisis. The décor was minimal with some graffiti-style art on the walls. Those clashed a bit with the motorcycle sculpture and gear-shaped clock on the wall. ESPN playing on the TVs also seemed out of place given the atmosphere. That being said, I was impressed with the menu and the overall quality of the food. Food was fresh, flavorful, and presented well. Pretty food goes a long way with me! Beer selection could be better. Only major complaint on my end was that they were out of chicken. Unacceptable to run out of a main component of ¼ of your dishes. As someone who doesn’t eat red meat, this issue eliminated all but one of my happy hour-priced options. This should’ve brought my review down to three stars, but the gentleman working double-duty as bartender/waiter was very friendly and gave us our second round of beers on the house to make up for the issue. Well played, sir.

Can I keep it simple? Not my modus operandi, but I will try. I had a turkey sandwich with green chile and other accoutrements on a honey wheat bread and it wad good. In my mind, I realized I’d probably prefer a melt, since green chile and cheese go together better melted, but this still worked. I especially treated the spicy sauce(chipotle?) that was generously slathered on the bread. As for the beer and beverages, there’s a decent selection. St. Feuillen La Blanche was my pick, but there was a sour, several La Cumbre picks, and other local craft beer options. It was respectable. The cocktails seemed legit too. For lunch, a sandwich and chips will cost you $ 8. Not great, but reasonable. The service was okay as was the ambiance. I did appreciate the music though, not your typical pop crap.

Not really sure what’s with all the hubbub about this place. Visited on a Wednesday night, not too busy, sat at the bar. I had heard about all the amazing beers here, turns out it’s like four. That being said, they have Delirium Tremens on tap, which is rare and awesome. The other end of the good beer spectrum is also represented by Pabst. I think there was a Marble and Scrimshaw Pilsener rounding out the draft. They have some more selections in bottles, but I’m hard to impress beer-wise. Nothing stood out to me. Decent happy hour menu. This place is all about sandwiches, and for what it’s worth I liked my open faced Cuban. They used a relish instead of a pickle, which is novel. Things like wings and nachos are also on the menu, providing more of a casual bar food selection. The space itself isn’t much too speak of. It’s a big room, some tables scattered about. Service at the bar was a little meh, which always disappoints me since I’m sitting right there and not tucked away in some distant corner. I think this place definitely has potential, and it’s nice to see new businesses come downtown. Given what I tasted with the sandwich, they’re building on something good, there’s just some little tweaks that need to be made to make this establishment stand out. I’ll be back in this summer, I’m sure.
