Came here looking for boots for work, They have more cowboy boots than service work boots that I need. If you need to cowboy up well this is the store for you. Did like that they had a good selection of carharrt stuff. But im not looking to become a cowboy any time soon. They do give a military discount.

There’s a pretty large selection at this store, which makes sense because it’s a rather large store. Lots of Western wear, and a good assortment of Carhartt stuff, too. Work clothes. They even stock fire retardant clothing, which is nice. As far as boots go, they have those too. Work boots, cowboy boots, a few exotics thrown in for good measure.

We wanted cowboy hats, so we went to Boot Barn — where else would you go? I don’t know much about western wear — it isn’t truly our thing, we are total posers. Now that we have that out of the way… I don’t know if there is usually a huge selection of cowboy hats available, or if there is just a few variations on the same thing everywhere you go. In any case, based on my limited experience, Boot Barn has a decent selection of men’s hats, but women’s hats seem to be either too kitschy or too masculine. But maybe that’s kinda the point, I don’t know. My hubby found the hat he wanted pretty quick — he got a really nice brown hat that looks so sexy on him! He has a huge head(it’s not all bone and fluid, he’s pretty darn smart!) so he can be tough to fit hats. He didn’t have much faith we would find a cowboy hat for him at all, but not only did they have several to choose from, but the one he wanted was available in his size — cool! He is now thinking about getting some boots, but we shall see. They have a pretty good selection of boots, but wow — pricey! We have also bought him a shirt or two there as well as a great, sturdy belt, but I don’t see Boot Barn becoming a regular shopping stop for us. It’s good for some specific things, but we just aren’t their usual demographic. We did join their frequent buyer club, where you get points and then get $ 15 off when you hit their goal amount. However, it’s a little disappointing, frankly — we buy there only once in a great while, and when you hit their ceiling, you have a very small window to use your earned discount. Then you lose it. Either I earned the discount or I didn’t, right? Not very customer-friendly… Anyway — nice store, good selections, fairly friendly staff. Changing rooms could be easier to access. Pretty good overall.
