I am now just seeing the owners response to my original review because someone had a similar experience to what we had. I understand the change of ownership. But there should be updated items on the menu menu. You guys have not at all stuck to the original menu and advertising you sale kosher items then serve what ever you found cheaper isn’t ok. Your comment back to my complaint was interesting because I heard the 2 calls that were made and if being rude to the point of almost yelling at someone is crying then I guess I was mistaken and am a bad judge of character. And at no point … No point was there ever an offer to remake our order you offered to bring us chile for a burger almost a half hour after we ordered out food. Yes we counted out our order to see if it was all there and the number was correct 3 burger meals and a Nathan(actually cheap gross not nathens) hot dog meal. Sorry we didn’t at that moment open up everything to make sure it was made correctly. You sure charge us extra for what we added on … it was on the receipt. Even though you claimed we didn’t order that when we called hmm… Not once did you apologize or say sorry. Which I understand people get busy but you are the one in this business if you can’t handle the heat get out of the frying pan. If only the person who writes these managerial apologies on line was the person who handled situation on line could do that day to day your business would be much more present to deal with.

We were accustomed to bringing family from out of town to this place when it first opened. About two and a half weeks ago we wanted to get some ice cream because we were finally able to get in before the new lame hours they posted during the week. It was a Saturday and we were the only ones inside at first. No greeting when walking in and we could sense some tension between the staff(awkward silence). We were feeling like they did not really want our business and the teenager who was not helpful or informative seemed to have better things to do then take our order. They never asked about toppings and they took three times as long as the last time to make our ice cream order. To make things slower the credit card machine was having problems. When we finally got our ice cream we noticed the portions were much smaller than before. We took our ice cream to go and they did not even say thank you. We liked supporting this place since was local and it was great until there seemed to be a change in ownership. Sadly we will not go back. This place seems to be burning out.

I was looking forward to visiting here again after the ownership changed because I know the previous owners stayed a while to train and share recipes. I was VERY disappointed. Walked in with five other friends who I let know that this place was the best in town. Unfortunately that expectation wasn’t lived up to. As we walked in we were never even greeted. The young lady working the register just looked at us with a look of inconvenience. It was a Saturday afternoon and we were the only ones in there. I do miss the friendly smiles and family atmosphere that used to greet you. As our food was being prepared, what seemed to be family(or at least I hope we’re family) walked in the doors directly into the kitchen where our food was being cooked/prepared without any type of sanitation or washing of hands. Granted, It didn’t look like he touched the food but, I wasn’t too comfortable with that. At least go to the back and fake it. Also, the food wasn’t flavorful at all. All I tasted was the grease from my burger. The meat had to have been 73/27, which for a burger(in my opinion) is a horrible choice. If there was any seasoning, it was masked by the grease. Lastly, this has to do with customer service and attention to detail. The entire time we were there(besides when out food was being prepared) the family/workers were all sitting together in a corner and not once bothered to ask if we were doing good or if we needed anything. And, when we walked out, not a one of them bothered to take a second to say«thanks for coming in». Being that it was a Saturday during the lunch time and we were the ONLY customers in there, one would figure that they would A) be appreciative of the people that did walk in and thank them for their patronage. And, B) Ask the customers what they thought of the food and ask for suggestions. But, taking the former in consideration, why would your expect the latter. By reading the other reviews, the owner doesn’t do well with negative reviews and doesn’t really acknowledge the positive ones. I hope that instead of getting upset and replying with a passive/aggressive comment, that they actually take this review and acknowledge that there is some room for improvement. Just please remember, you didn’t only buy the business, you bought the customers asking with it. You just have to keep them happy.

Me and my kiddos were a regular at this place before the change in ownership. I was skeptical when I heard it had changed hands. Here are some things that seem to have gone downhill: no more friendly greeting when you walk into the restaurant, you’re lucky if the people behind the counter look up from their cell phones long enough to acknowledge your presence. Prices have increased. To be blunt, it feels pretty«ghetto» in here now. I’m sitting here looking at the boyfriend of the girl who took my order with his boxers hanging out of the back of his sweatpants, a white tank on, and a gold chain, and a teardrop tattoo under his eye if I’m not mistaken. Yeesh! There is a young boy working here who had a nice black eye last time I came in, he is young enough to be school aged, wondered why he’s not in school. For right now the food still seems ok but appearances of staff have taken a MAJOR dive. If it continues I’ll probably take my business elsewhere. PS– the menus have a handwritten«fee delivery» on them now. Upon inquiry it turns out they now offer FREE delivery. Spelling counts folks!
