Barf! If you want food poisoning go here. Absolutely, the most disgusting buffet in Albuquerque.

I use to love eating at China Wok. But I went today 11⁄19 /15 and arrived at 4:20 pm and was charged the dinner price and the price for dinner changes at 4:00 pm. The food was left over from lunch that was out for dinner. The food was not hot. I told the waitress which might of been the owner’s wife that the food was bad and she looked at me like oh well. I paid the bill and told the person which was at the register which I think was the owner that the food was awful. He had nothing to will say. I not ever eat there again. It has gone down hill more like over a cliff. I would give no star if I could. Don’t eat at China Wok..

I didn’t even want to rate this place cause it doesn’t even deserve one star. I went there for the first time today & it will be my last. I paid $ 25 for two people and I’ve never regretted spending that on food before. The previous reviews are right on and I wished I would’ve read them first. The whole place was disgusting! The food was just as bad. I think something I put on my plate was already spoiled. I knew once I went to use the facilities, that I should’ve walked out. But I decided to stay & to my regret, it was a poor decision on my part. I’ve never given such a bad review. I’m just hoping someone will read this & not waste their money. I really never ever give reviews but really felt compelled to after eating here tonight. First off, I was charged for drinks on top of the buffet price and was not told. We just had water so I went back up to the cashier and told her we’d been over charged. It was only then that she gave me the money back for the drinks. Pretty shady. I should have known better. Friday night and maybe 10 other people there. This is the absolute worse Chinese food I have ever eaten. Completely tasteless. The carpet is filthy. Just wondering why the health department has not shut them down. It was terrible. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I don’t get sick tonight. I wouldn’t eat there again if they were giving it away. It was that bad.

Oh wow. This place is the pits. I’m pretty forgiving when it comes to food, but damn. The crab rangoons had little to no filling, the steamed rice was over done, the General Tso’s chicken was mostly breading and was very bland, the best thing were the ribs and they were mostly gristle and fat. Just do yourself a favor and skip this place.

What can I say about the food here? Well nothing good definitely. Not sure what possessed me to try it out but should have read the reviews first, so my bad. If you like your food all various shades of brown or sitting in a lot of brown sauces then this is your restaurant. They are definitely not wasteful since all their dishes on the buffet had that recycled look. The steamed rice was even bad. I mean how can you possibly screw up white rice??? On the plus side the wait staff were all very attentive. Now let’s hope I can keep this«meal» down.

i hate to add to the negativity here, but you really should avoid this place. the place is huge, but the food is so bland, and they all look like they’ve been sitting under the heat lamps for days. it’s cheap, but it’s cheap for a reason.

Planned to meet a friend there. When I first walked in all the seats on the booths were torn to the degree it was distracting. I waited for my friend to grab a plate of food. I already wasn’t feeling well and decided to pass on the food based what I saw in her plate. The parents there were letting their kids run around and touching stuff. So just paid for my Sprite and left.

I should have read the reviews before I wasted my time and money. Food was not very fresh and a small variety.

On 11÷3÷2013 Sunday @ approximately 2 husband and I stopped at this restaurant. My first thought was why are there so few cars at this really large Chinese food restaurant? [A lot of other restaurants down the street had full parking lots and folks standing in line out their doors.] It didn’t take me long to figure out why. Before entering this establishment I noticed that someone had puked at the front door and if management had noticed it no one had bothered to clean it up! We continued inside got our ticket and ordered our drinks. Then we got up to wash our hands in the restroom. I hadn’t even eaten there when I nearly hurled because of the unnatural smell that permeated this space. To make matters worst the first soap dispenser did not work! OK. I made it to the buffet and picked up a plate. I kid you not the plate was greasy and still had food stuck on it. That was the straw that broke the«proverbial» camels back. I told my dear hubby what had happened and told him that this place was too nasty for me to eat there. We both walked over to the cashier’s desk and told the attendant that we had ordered drinks already but changed our mind about eating there. He asked why and I told him what happened and he ordered us to «get out then!» I am so lucky to not have eaten at this place.

NASTYOLDFOODTERRIBLESERVICE. I noticed that when I was at the buffet that some of the food looked like it was out too long and I should have taken that as a bad sign. I took two bites of the«food» that I served and the shrimp was tasteless and the the beef and broccoli was RANCID. While trying not to throw up, I looked at my sons plate and the mussels he served were SLIMY. I immediately stopped him from eating and we stood up to complain to the girl at the counter. Not trying to make a scene, I told the girl that I wasn’t paying for that food because it was spoiled and after a short argument featuring«YOUSERVEPLATEYOUPAY» I ended up having to pay $ 5 for my sons sprite just to get out of there! BEWARE!!! IFYOUSEECHINAWOK, RUN!

We were driving around trying to find something other than what we had been eating for three weeks, saw this place and went in. Big mistake, if you find yourself in a rut this is not the place to get out of it. Go to the store and buy anything that is Chinese in a can or plastic wrapper and it will be better than this place.

WHY did i not check Unilocal ratings BEFORE I sat down at this place? Terrible, terrible, terrible… Food — tasteless and lots of ‘flavorings’ used that I wouldn’t put in my own families food. Service– rushed, treated like cattle and was asked upon leaving if we paid for our food. ??? They take your money at the door before you’re given a table. Ambiance — ok, if it hadn’t been 90 degrees in there. I’m SO lucky i didn’t get worms or food poisoning. WOW. It’s really hard to screw up Chinese buffet but these guys did it. TERRIBLE!!! RUN!!! FAR!!!

Went there tonight & it was nasty. They put out a new tray of General Tsao’s Chicken & it was to hard to eat. Like they fried the chicken way too long. The other food had no flavor. It was plain bad.

China Wok is case of a restaurant doing every single thing badly. The food is made sloppily, out of extremely cheap ingredients, according to what I assume is an off recipe, and then allowed to sit way, way too long on the line. The result is old, terrible tasting Chinese food. Entrees like the orange chicken, for example, were gummy, nearly flavorless, seemed to be mostly breading, and were unappealing presented in big, goopy piles. Other items tended to be soggy or completely dried, depending on their sauce content. Selection was limited when it came to Chinese food, as most of the banks of dishes were filled with Americanized food. Call me crazy, but I don’t go to a Chinese buffet to get steak fries, pizza, onion rings, fried chicken, or mac and cheese, especially when they’re so poorly made. Service is non-existent. Since we ordered water, they literally did nothing for us. No refills, no bussing the empty dishes, nothing. Most of the empty tables were messy as well, leading me to believe that they just don’t give a shit about service. If there is a positive side, it’s that if you manage to catch the food right as it comes out of the kitchen, it tends to be just mediocre, instead of downright awful. It’s a small consolation, but it’s something.

This is a terrible Chinese buffet. The selection is poor. The food is not fresh. Worst of all, there is very little actual Chinese food. Most of the food is deep fried American. Finally, the place is filthy, especially the bathrooms. I’m not sure how they pass a health inspection. Don’t eat here.

On 1−12−11 my wife and I ate here. At 11:10AM. My wife got some noodles and returned to our table, she had taken a few bites then screamed and pointed to a nicely steamed whole cockroach in the noodles. I called the waiter who immediately took the plate and threw the contents into the garbage. I then noticed an employee rooting through the serving tray on the buffet line, she removed a few things then just left it there for others to eat from. They unemotionally said«sorry’ in such a way that left me to believe they did not care at all. They charged me for my meal and did not charge my wife for hers, it was a sickening experience. So, if you like steamed insects, dine here.

Having seen their ad on TV and after driving past it a few times I decided to forego my default Chinese buffet, Evergreen, and check out China Wok. * * * Signs of things to come: Upon seating you, they hand you a napkin and a plastic fork. 7:30 on a Friday night and the place was less than ¼th full. * * * Very sparse offerings overall. Maybe 4 stations total. Two types of maki. That’s it. Both with undercooked rice and mushy, oatmeal-like wasabi. Now I know that maki aren’t a requirement at a buffet but when people complain about the 10 or so varieties at Evergreen I would have thought other places would have more or better rolls. Seriously nasty stuff. Krab-with-a-K-salad. Horrid. How can you possibly screw up Krab salad? There is some odd spice they put into it that makes it almost inedible. Cold peel and eat shrimp that were okay but hilariously placed in the center of the dessert bar. Tiny, wretched spring rolls filled with some kind of kimchee-like mushy vegetable paste. Surprisingly okay beef ribs with a tasty, tangy sauce, although of course extremely fatty. A warm, unpeeled scampi-like shrimp dish in a pleasant butter sauce. A whole fish in a tray that you couldn’t have paid me to try. General Tso Chicken that will make you say«Tso?» Sesame chicken completely devoid of flavor. A single beef dish with vegetables that harmed no cattle in its preparation. Another Krab salad dish that seemed to be the same as the cold krab salad except warm and with melted cheese over it. If at all possible, it tasted even worse than it sounds. Nauseatingly bland and watery chow mein noodles. Mussels in a black bean sauce that were okay and that I have to give credit for not making me violently ill or killing me. A nod to the waitress of my section who was very cheerful and attentive. With tip and some watery iced tea it was about $ 12.00 out the door which could have been worse. Not much worse but a little.
