I was in Albuquerque on business. I stayed at the Hyatt. I went here most of my stay because I just have to go downstairs from my room. The food is mediocre, twice I ordered for sweet potato chips and both times they were burnt. The grass fed beef burger was very good and their stuffed sweet potato was also good. Of course it’s hotel food so their food is pricey.

So let me start off saying that this was my first time here and I will have to give them a second try before I completely banish then but here is what I experienced for my first go around. I came in after an event with my co-workers. We had a fairly large party, 20 of us. I walked in later in my group and one of the staff was taking our drink orders. I grabbed a seat and was encouraged by our party to give my drink order, so I did. Another member of our party was also trying to give him her order and she was told and I quote«just calm down». :-/wow not even five minutes into dinner and we are being scolded? Okay? So we all placed our drink orders, btw these are adult beverages we ordered. I ordered a whisky smash and the same staff had to ask what was in it :-/I kindly explained my beverage and he walked off. A few moments later our beverages were being served, in no particular order. I know we are a large party but I thought this was the business you are in? So I finally got my drink and to my surprise it looks well made except it doesn’t taste like a smash. Instead it’s club soda with whisky? I asked about it and was told their bar doesn’t stock mint.(Again :-/) so I just drank it, one of my co-workers also experienced a problem, he asked for a Dos X and was told they don’t carry Dos X, but yet clearly another member of our party was just served that exact drink, in a bottle with the logo on it.(have to do it :-/) yet another member of our party ordered the exact same beverage as my fellow co-worker some raspberry vodka drink and when hers came it was in a rocks glass and the other a hug all glass, the difference was discovered they confused her saying«I’ll have the same» as «I’ll have a double shot of vodka», I mean come on Bar, your downtown, in Hyatt and your bar keep doesn’t stock mint, staff can’t distinguish between beers and obviously has a servers ear like I’ve never seen before. Needless to say I didn’t order another drink but I did give their food a try and luckily the kitchen knows what they are doing. I ordered the stuffed sweet potato and it was delicious. Baked perfectly and stuffed with the excellent amount of onions, tomatoes, black beans and avocado; served on a bed of Jazmine rice. My only down side was the pomegranate sauce that was drizzled over it, which wasn’t aweful just not my taste. I quickly want to mention the service, we had about three servers at our table and I don’t meant three at once, I never saw more than one server at a time but three different ones and in my opinion all of them needed a lesson in serving etiquette. I had to ask for more water, yeah in a place like this, I had to flag my server down for more water. :-/overall I was not a huge fan of the service and attitude that was presented; however, the dish got 5*‘s from me. Unfortunately dinner without flawless service or drinks brings my overall rating down. Better luck next time Forque.

I travel through Albuquerque periodically. For this trip, I couldn’t get a room at my usual hotel, so I’m staying at the Hyatt for the first time, and ordered Forque’s room service. I got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and I would not recommend it. I’ve eaten Caesar salad at a lot of places, but have never had it served with whole anchovies! Normally, they are part of the dressing. Perhaps there are a lot of restaurants serving the salad this way, but this is a first for me. I wish I’d known that was their practice, as I would have asked them not to bother. I like my Caesar to be light on the dressing, but this was almost non-existent. The cheese was not Parmesan, and the bread was flavorless. This is the only thing I ordered, so I don’t know if the rest of the food is better. I’m just panning the Caesar. Oh – and the grilled chicken on it wasn’t good either. My dog was going crazy for it at first, but after two bites, even she didn’t want any more. That’s a bad sign!

Abysmal. The service was shockingly rude. I am in ABQ for a business convention. Room service was fine and fast. A restaurant meal at Forque with colleagues two nights ago was also fine. This morning, I went into Forque, just past 9 a.m. The hostess was gracious and friendly in seating me and I told her I would just select my breakfast from the buffet. I noted the buffet offered eggs, French toast, bacon, sausages, etc. everything looked freshly made and appetizing. I lifted the cover of one dish… oatmeal, grits or… maybe rice congee? Me to a nearby server: «Excuse me, may i ask, please?» Server to me: «What do you need?» Me: «Is this oatmeal?» Server looked me directly in the eye and with serious expression, said, «What do YOU think it is??!» I was completely taken aback. In asking, I had no aggressive tone nor affect, nor any intent to criticize the food. in more than 20 years of business travel, i have never walked out of a restaurant until today. I worked in restaurants in my younger years and i understand it’s a lot of work. I immediately left. Worth noting, as I was exiting the hostess asked me if everything was alright. I related what happened and she apologized to me. I told her very sincerely that I appreciated her kindness. I simply could not stay to dine there.

We went to Forque for Thanksgiving dinner. Our tab? Just under $ 150 for two. For that we were seated at a table without a table cloth and waited on by a server who didn’t know what a wine list was, thought Perrier was sparkling wine and brought us our entrees before we’d had salad, soup or appetizer. After disappearing to consult about the sparkling wine, she told us that the sparkling wine available by the glass was Gruet, a good local brand. When we finally obtained a wine list from another server, we discovered that in fact the only sparkling wine available by the glass was prosecco and yes, we were served the sweetest, cheapest prosecco ever to leave the shores of Italy. Either Forque doesn’t have champagne flutes or the server didn’t know what they were because believe it or not, the prosecco arrived in water glasses. In the interim, we sent the entrée back to be served after we ate our salad and soup from the buffet. We ordered red wine and the return of our entrée at the same time. After two reminders, we finally received our wine somewhere around the last bite of turkey. The server plopped down the bill way before the end of the meal. The final straw was being chased down in the lobby by our server and the hostess for not paying the bill, which, of course, we had. The bill by the way included an 18% service charge… what one would gladly pay for good, attentive, knowledgeable service in a good restaurant… extortion, here. As for the food, with the exception of the turkey which was quite good, you will have more choices more skillfully cooked at Furrs Cafeteria.

Food quality was pretty terrible. It was practically empty when we got there an it took ages to flag someone down to get seated, place our order, receive our food, and pay our bill. The entire ordeal took about 2 hours and none of our drinks were ever refilled even after we asked multiple times. None of us finished our food and we didn’t even bother with taking the leftovers home. The coffee was extremely bitter and tasted like it had been sitting for a long time. I don’t understand how this place can survive here with the terrible service and food. If you are staying in the hotel, I recommend saving yourself some time and money by just eating at Starbucks.

I would recommend not sitting on the bar are as the bartender cannot give you good service. The food is good and the portions are nice for the price.

Forque was good, but nothing to write home about. Visited while traveling in ABQ for work. The restaurant dining area was closed for cleaning so the only seating was at the bar, but full menu was still offered. The restaurant has the look and feel of a comfy and modern restaurant but was completely empty except for the bartender at 9pm on Sunday night. I ordered the ribeye with garlic mash and veggies. The flavor on the steak with demi was good and cooked well, but fairly stringy. I very much enjoyed the sides, although a bit salty. Overall a fine meal, but certainly not worth the $ 35. The downfall was the bartender who was taking my order and didn’t care about his patron. He sat talking to another employee for quite a while, didn’t bother checking up on me after food was brought. Instead he turned on the TV over the bar and listened to sports center. While I have nothing against ESPN, I didn’t go to the local sports bar for a reason. I would eat here again, but I’d prefer a table, try a different menu option and hopefully avoid the bored bartender who didn’t really care to be there.

This was our first time in Albuquerque New Mexico our group is looking for a place to grab lunch. This fusion restaurant had no problem creating a spot for 10 people. They were very friendly, the food was good, they are a little pricey, but they are in the Hyatt Hotel and the food was worth it.

This was our first restaurant experience in Albuquerque and it set the bar really high as far as breakfast goes. The restaurant wasn’t busy, which I usually take as a sign that the food isn’t good. Big mistake this time! First I need to say the staff was very pleasant and eager to satisfy. Our waitress, Cindy had just the right mix of taking care of us and leaving us to our food and conversations. She knew the menu and was able to answer our questions. The menu reflects the region and is flavorful without being over spicy. I enjoyed the Smoked Chicken Omelette(made with Eggbeaters). There was just the right about of cheese and spice for me. I love breakfast and was so pleased with the coffee and the hash browns, I suspect the potatoes were prepared with butter. Oh and it turns out Hubby and were just there earlier than the rest of the crowd. The place filled up nicely.

It’s a trap! I came in to work while on a business trip. I never expect great food at a hotel restaurant but this one in particular lowered my expectations for life. The modern and homey feel of the restaurant will make you feel like you’ve made a great choice. The menu begs you to order the best the chef has to offer. So I ordered the steak. It arrived half way through my third revision of a report I started when I sat down. It looks more like an appetizer than an entrée. I’m not skinny but if I were, I’d have starved to death ten minutes after finishing the steak. Picking through the steak in six bites, I’m not quite sure if the steak was of salamander or another small creature. The pleasant server deserves to be tipped but 20% is far more than the cost of delivery I will need to sustain life through the night. Save your cash; order in and watch something good on tv.

I have ate here twice in 2 days while staying at the hyatt! I had to send my food back both times. 1st time there was a bug in my salad and the 2nd time my breakfast was cold! The resturant was not busy either time I went and the service took forever!

If you find yourself in a bar and the bartender doesn’t know the difference between bourbon and a Tennessee whiskey, go somewhere else. That is what happen here. She insisted that Jack Daniels is a bourbon. Wow! Up your game!!!

I can’t say much because I only had an appetizer and a drink. I had the chicken quesadilla which is actually 2 small quesadillas vs 1 large one. Each one had a different tortilla. They were really good. Environment looked clean and nice. Pretty large space, but was very dead for a Thursday night. I had a Crown and Coke and it tasted like a generous pour of Crown which is nice.

Had to stay at the Hyatt for work and Forque was the most convenient for me-especially on a rainy day. Paid $ 15 for a beet salad that was barely a salad, tomatoes were soggy and they forgot my dressing. Paid $ 20 for a salad earlier in the week that was awful and salmon was under-cooked. So not impressed. My suggestion would be to order delivery.

We arrived 35 mins before the kitchen closed and thought the food maybe be basic hotel standard. Well it wasn’t, it was actually pretty good. I had the beet salad to start and rib eye tacos for main. Both tasty and fresh tasting. Service was ok until the lady manager come over to also help — Then it stepped up. Only downside it’s a little pricey

I’m disappointed. Their food was better few years ago. What happened? I ordered rib tacos. Tiny two pieces, barely any meat. Nothing on the side. $ 8. Well that wasn’t enough. I ordered pork chili soup. You have never seen that many chunks of potatoes in a bowl in your life. All potatoes and pork was barely seen. $ 7 Service was okay. It was a busy night so certain slowness is understandable. If you have clients to take to dinner/lunch, I don’t suggest this location. I get a killer corporate discount on food. I choose to eat out and pay 40% more money for better food.

Ate here twice. First time scallops. Ok my bad for ordering seafood in the dessert. Four quarter size scallops for $ 26! Very tasty but come on! I came back again for lunch, ordered a beet salad. Didn’t even get a whole beet. Ate here twice, left hungry twice. Too expensive for the portions. Edit: manager came over and comped my meal and did seem concerned. This is great food, but portions are too small.

Easter Sunday Brunch was fantastic! Great service and great selection. The pictures are just a portion of what was available. The dining area was full but it was still easy to hold a conversation without raising your voice.

Oh, they fancy, huh? It’s Fork with a «que». For-kew. Based on our city’s title, it’s For-key. Or, as we Burqueños might pronounce it, For-kay. Oh, they so fancy!(It’s just Fork, folks.) This review is limited to a lunch, so I await a dinner plate and I will certainly return. Hotel restaurants really walk a tight rope, attempting to please the über travelvore alongside the Texas oilman, ya can’t make everyone happy. So I’ll give ‘em the benefit of culinary limitations concerning the relative lack of creativity on the menu. That goes for the décor, as well. Safely modern, generally uninspired. Somewhat cool napkins. As far as I know, this is the only shop in the 505 that offers soyrizo, a favorite cousin of the salty pig version, and totally welcome in a couple of blue corn softish tacos, they fell apart and I used my for-kay to dig up the accompanying mushrooms and debris. The composition was pretty darn good, catering to lighter appetites, I wasn’t complaining. I thought it was the most adventurous option on the menu, that’s not saying much. So hey, management, open this puppy up. Give us the best patio downtown. Refurnish the seats and the eats. Own this corner, For-kay.
