I like this place. Some fairly contemporary/​modern looking fabric. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Recently they featured Breaking Bad fabric. Apparently Sony mostly doesn’t pursue ‘infringement’ of copyright violations for ‘Breaking Bad’ merchandise and hence the large number of Breaking Bad items around town.

My mom and I went into the store for the first time today. We were immediately greeted by friendly store workers. We came to buy fun baby fabric for a baby quilt. We were there for about an hour! The woman helping us went way out of her way to help us find exactly what we wanted even when we didn’t know! What a great shop!

I Love this Store. I always go there to work, eat, or do my homework. ANYTHING, they are so accomodating and let you just hang out at the stor if you have gotten to know them! Suzanne is so sweet, and even when other people are tending the store, the atmosphere is so friendly. The classes are so easy to follow and the fabrics are the cutest around.

I’ve been to HipStitch twice now and I’m so pleased and excited to return again soon. Suzanne is a pleasure to deal with and every time I go in it’s like seeing an old friend.
I took the basics course and it was very informative and had clear goals of what the class was to accomplish. It was a great help in learning the ins and outs of a first simple project and I am planning on returning for a beginner’s quilting class need month.
I bought some fabric as well. Suzanne was interested in my project and even asked me to bring it in when it was done. A great gem in Albuquerque and I will definitely be back.

I love checking out new quilt shops when I travel. The problem with quilt shops is that the owners aren’t always too friendly or helpful. I can honestly say the folks at Hip Stitch were genuinely friendly and pleasant, and asked me if I needed any help with anything. The store is super cute with an excellent variety of modern fabrics and notions. I wish I lived closer than 700 miles away from it! I’d be there all the time! It truly is a gem of a shop — go visit it if you have the chance!

I am not an expert seamstress. In fact, I came to HipStitch because I wanted to learn more about sewing to help me decide if I wanted to buy a machine. After searching for sewing classes in Albuquerque, I found HipStitch and signed up for their HipStitch Basics class. The class couldn’t have been more helpful and fun. Suzanne, the owner, was knowledgeable and helpful. She was patient with all of my questions. The class was well structured and had clear goals.
The store itself is adorable. I look forward to going back to buy sewing supplies and attend more classes and I learn how to sew.

Whoo-​Hoo! My HipStitch delivery came today!
During my recent visit to Albuquerque, I paid a visit to one of my favorite fabric stores and purchased some gorgeous stuff.
Very unique pin cushions, a small quilting project and some vibrant fabrics are now in my possession.
This place never lets me down.
