Not a bad place to go to. I went there for finals week and I was disappointed that I could not toast my sub, but other than that it was really good and a good college atmosphere on the inside.

I am not from this area, and because of this restaurant, I am glad that I’m not. If there was an option for negative stars, I would give it, and that is saying a lot because I have never given a review this awful due to my experience. My hotel was exactly 1.3 miles /a 4 – 5 minute drive from the sub shop, my flight was delayed by 4 hours before I finally made it to my room. It was 2am, my husband was hungry, and I am pregnant with twins, so obviously starving! Jimmy johns was the only place around open that late, and who delivered, as we did not have a car for the night. I was APPALLED when I tried ordering sandwiches and was told’ «we don’t go out that far.» FAR??? JUSTOVERONEMILE!!! How do you even stay in business? I even tried to reason with the girl on the phone, explaining our situation, but to no avail, I guess they just wanted to sit around doing nothing and their driver didn’t want to make a generous tip(probably more than this state’s hourly wage). In the future, you may want to reconsider your«policies», and manner in which you treat customers.

Hands down the worst delivery service. I accidentally typed in 422 rather than 414 for the house number. I was at a house that wasn’t my own.(I owned up to my mistake) The good news is 422 is roughly 100 feet from 414. Well the not so kind jimmy johns employee was really really upset and rather rude on the phone when we figured out I typed in the wrong address. He begrudgingly walked 100 feet to bring me my food. It bums me out that I tipped prior to him delivering. I tipped him $ 5 on an $ 11 bill. So, Jimmy Johns, I’m done. I will no longer be able to recommend you to others. I do hope that I’m the only person to accidentally type in the wrong address. I wouldn’t want others to receive the same treatment I did.

Worst customer service I’ve ever received. My wife and I are traveling and dont have a car while we stay at our hotel which is exactly 1.08 miles away the manager would not work with me at all to help us get food because the farthest they can drive is one mile, it was Sunday night and the only thing still open, when I pleaded with him to meet me half way so i wouldn’t have to walk a mile after 12 am he said I was basically asking him to quit his job and the guy even brought up his kid, realy? Over a freaking sandwich??? .08 miles out of your normal drive? Is it really that serious that by helping me feed my wife and my self, this guy thinks he will get fired. This place is horrible to its customers, and maybe even worse to its employees. Excuse me while I now need to walk a mile there and back to feed my wife, becuz this is my only option regrettably.

Decent sandwich. I tried the Vito. I can’t compare it to Philly hoagies, but while in NM, it was a good sandwich with fresh ingredients. Quick, friendly service too.

They make a mean sandwhich. Love the bread. Always have fresh ingredients. Super fast delivery. Favorite is the Beach Club.

Sigh. They advertise lettuce wraps. I love lettuce wraps. This was a disaster. I should have known better. Loose, big pieces of lettuce with some cheese and avocado all over the place. It’s not complicated to roll lettuce. It’s actually fairly easy. This was a joke. If you want to be healthy, this is not the place to do it. My SO’s sandwich was so boring. I tried to eat a bit out of hungry desperation. It was bland. Boring. It just tasted like bread and some boring cheese. Meh. Just meh. They have good chips…

Jimmy john’s is the best sub shop in the university area. The only rival is which which but for price jimmy kinks will make you happy every time. Super fast delivery coupled with great food = nothing better. Also the will deliver a just single sandwich!

One of the best parts of road trips is getting my Jimmy John’s fix! Damn California hasn’t gotten on board yet so anytime I see a Jimmy John’s on the road I get a sandwich for a later ‘snack’. I found this location to be as great as the others with the exception of the limited parking. I got the last spot when I was there at 11am on a Tuesday. Looks like it can be a bitch.

I’m a regular here, even though my check-ins don’t show it, yet. This location is generally pretty good if their A-crew is working. I can cross Central on a green light from UNM and have my sandwich, chips and a drink and be out the door in time to catch the next green light on the way back. The bread is fresh, most of the time, occasionally it seems like it may be yesterday’s loaf, but that doesn’t happen very often. Jimmy Johns does deliver to campus. I have a very hard to find office, but they seem to get there pretty quick on the days I use the delivery service with no issues finding the place(it costs about a dollar extra for delivery, plus tip). All in all I like Jimmy Johns better than most of the nearby sandwich shops, except one, more on that later…

I grew up in Minnesota. A fellow Midwesterner once explained the experience of living there as the following: «Everything is so white. The people, the snow, the culture, the food, everything. That’s what I really miss about New Mexico.» Granted, a similar remark could be made for our water-less oasis, and there’s definitely plenty to LOVE about Midwestern culture and cuisine, however when I took my first bite into my Jimmy John’s tuna sandwich, I was suddenly reminded of the bland existence that encompasses a life surrounded by hot dish, potatoes au gratin, deviled eggs and macaroni surprise. Empty. Flat. They call this a French baguette? Pierre would so bitch-slap that tasteless loaf of Wonder. Au contraire. And one more thing: no green chile? Serial? Where do you think you expanded your franchise to, Arizona? Go back to Champaign, Illinois, cracker.

Positively the absolute worst sandwich I’ve ever almost eaten. What about this place is gormet? Iceberg lettuce? One kind of cheese? Provolone? Super processed cold cuts. Zero toppings? The words gormet connotates decent bread, spreads other than something green from a can, real meat… even Subway buries this place. Proper name would be Back of Your Grandmas Fridge but that would be a disservice to grandparents everywhere. Prediction: 2months 4rent.

I’m such a sucker for a sub late at night. This is precisely why the Nightclub has my stomach magnetically gravitated to it at 2:30 on a Thursday night. Let’s be honest: in the University area, you’ve got McDonald’s or Pita Pit. And that’s about it. In the daytime hours, it’s very unlikely to spot me at JJ’s. Most of the business I give it comes strictly from late night adventures. It’s not a relationship I’m proud of, but still, that sandwich is everything I want at those wee hours of the night. Italian Night Club ingredients you may ask? Genoa salami, Italian capicola, smoked ham, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo and oil and vinegar. It’s pretty dreamy. The crusty French bread it comes on is tasty too. This place always has a very welcoming atmosphere, and after a night of mild drinking, that’s exactly what I like to be around! The people are fun, the food is made fast, and special instructions are no task for these pros. If you’re feeling up for it, try the hot peppers! I rather like them. As well as the big chocolate chip cookies to round off my meal with a bit of dessert. For the price and the time convenience, I’d say it’s a score!

Best sammies in town! Fresh bread, fresh meats, cheeses & veggies. I suggest the #10 with green chilis!!! YES, they have red & green chili for you. If your really hungry try the Gargantuan — i make mine the unwich :)

JJ’s is my obsession. Freaky Fast, right? Wrong! Not at this location. 3 employees made our 2 sandwiches in over 5 minutes. There were 2 guests who were in front of us but they had paid & placed their order before we walked in the door. This may seem like a tough review but let me say I’m a JJ’s frequent flier(like I said obsessed with their food: the bread, the unwich and visit 3 – 4 times per week when I’m traveling weekly) and this was below par on service and speed. Thankfully accuracy and taste were spot on. This location needs some work on sandwich making speed. They can’t claim Freaky Fast that’s for sure.

Best Keto friendly sandwich in town. This seems to be the only place that can accurately wrap a sandwich, regardless of size, in lettuce. So much better without their bread, seriously!

You know just one thing I love about Jimmy John’s? If you go to their website, they have an interactive menu where you can completely customize your sandwich by taking the link to either Full Menu or Nutritional Information and clicking on your sandwich of choice. Example: First, take that link: Start with a No. 3 Totally Tuna. At the far right, you’ll see a list of all the ingredients in the sandwich. O.K., so you don’t want the French Bread(for a Sub), but want your sandwich on their 7-Grain Wheat Bread instead. Just delete the French Bread, and then go to Add Extras, and add the 7-Grain Wheat Bread. Did you notice that the Nutritional Information(just below the items on the sandwich) changed? The calories, fat and total carbs went up. Whoa. BUT if you don’t care to have bread, you can get a lettuce wrap instead, which at Jimmy John’s is called an Unwich. So delete that carbed out 7-Grain Wheat Bread, and add the Unwich instead. Watch the calories, fat and total carbs drop. Cool, huh? You can do this all day if you want to, figuring out which sandwich is the leanest and healthiest for you. Or you can just go hog wild and add all kinds of decadent Extras to your sandwich. Oh, Subway has a similar feature, you say? Yeah, I know. But is it as much fun to use? Not really. OK., so what else is cool about Jimmy John’s? They use all fresh ingredients. Yeah, so does Subway. I know. But you can get that sandwich in a lettuce wrap at Jimmy John’s. You can’t do that at Subway. They make you eat it as a salad in a plastic bowl, which takes way longer, right? Aren’t you in a hurry? I thought so. Oooh, the Tuna at Jimmy John’s is much higher in fat, and mayo, than the Tuna at Subway? O.K., you got me there. But the provolone is less. Ha! Gotcha. And at Jimmy John’s, I can add Alfalfa Sprouts. Can’t do that at Subway. Oh, you can add Green Peppers and Yellow Peppers, and even Cucumbers at Subway? Bummer. You can’t at Jimmy John’s. Oh, hey! Jimmy John’s has a fun atmosphere. Have you read all of their signage? «No Hippies Allowed,» for one. Technically, that means I can’t go there, but, you see, I disguise myself as a mainstreamer, so they don’t know. Works every time. They treat me real nice. Yeah, yeah, it’s a chain. There are plenty of locally-owned sandwich shops. I love to support local as much as possible. But sometimes, it’s fun to just go to a chain. I’m sticking with Jimmy John’s. Yeah, I wish their Tuna had less mayo in it, and they had more veggies to pile onto my sandwich, I mean, Unwich, but I still like ‘em a lot.

I have to admit I eat a lot of Jimmy Johns because they offer awesome delivery. You order online using a painless ordering system, and then after about 10 minutes someone brings you your sandwich. When I’m in the middle of homework or working in the afternoon it’s an excellent choice, because I don’t have to stop doing what I’m doing to get some lunch. You only have to have one sandwich to place a delivery order which is also an excellent feature. Their sandwiches on the other hand are not the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life. I prefer to order my sandwiches with easy mayo because if not you basically get a mayo sandwich with whatever fillings you choose. Their bread is probably my favorite part about their sandwiches it is fluffy and delicious. I recommend getting a turkey tom ez-mayo, ez dijon mustard, and add cucumbers, a giant chocolate chip cookie, and a drink of your choice!

The only thing really memorable or that good about the subs at Jimmy John’s is the french bread that they use for them. It’s a harder bread than other sub shops offer and can hold up better while being transported. As for the quality of the subs themselves. they’re pretty run-of-the-mill and depicted to be way better than they actually are. Anyone can fart out a turkey sandwich. There’s almost no turkey on it and the toppings are sparse. Asked to add cucumber and could barely find it. Not really impressed at all. I can get a cheap sandwich at an assortment of places that won’t make me feel nearly as ripped off.
