I love the bread for the sandwiches here. The nice thing is that they are quick and fresh. The ordering system here of marking a bag with what you want is a great way to provide custom sandwiches.

I love these sandwiches specific the turkey lettuce wrap, always great for pick up between class. Plus they’re huge sandwiches, the staff is also really nice.

I waffled between 3 and 4 stars, but am going to go with 4 as the concept is unusual and the staff is totally awesome. Walking in to Which Wich might be a tad overwhelming for the first time customer, luckily the staff is well trained to spot the newbies and explain the system. With over 50 sandwiches and a self ordering system you might need the help. Take a gander at the board and decide which sandwich you’re up for, then find the corresponding numbered bag to make your selection. Love or hate veggies, it’s all on you to decide what you want including out of the ordinary toppings for a quick sandwich shop like caramelized onions and specialty sauces. These details make even an ordinary turkey sandwich more delish. You pick your bread, size, hot/cold, and then hand the bag to the staff. After you’ve paid, pick up your individual creation at the end of the counter. Pretty cool! I think I have to compare fast food sandwich shops to each other so Which Wich wins a landslide over competitor Subway but doesn’t quite meet with Panera type joints. I say, walk in knowing what you’re getting. It’s a fast food sandwich. Tastewise it’s fine, better than anything I could put together in my kitchen, but the ingredients don’t seem to be high quality and it’s all standard chips and drinks. Parking is tight so this wouldn’t be a weekday destination for me. Also, every single table was dirty when we tried to find a place to sit. All in all the hubs loved it, so I see us going back, but this won’t ever be on my first choice list.

Every wich I have had has been delicious. I would choose this place over subway anytime. The witches are packed with meat and all the veggies you want. There are more options of subs and ingredients to than subway.

I’ll be honest, I’m not big on sandwiches. But my husband loves them, so I’ll force myself to scarf one down once in a blue moon. We came here totally clueless & just kinda stood in the front confused for a few seconds. But the lady in the front resister was quick to come over & was more than happy to help us out. A+ on the service. Friendly & attentive. I ordered the roast beef & got creative with the toppings. My husband ordered the thanksgiving limited edition turkey sandwich. Definitely one of the better sandwiches I’ve tried here in ABQ. Looking forward to trying the crab artichoke sandwich next time.

Matt is the best manager ever. Always making people smile and having his staff in great order. I’d go here all the time if I could

In the 2 months that i have stayed in ABQ, we visited this place almost 7 – 8 times — need i say more??? ok i will — both their sandwiches and bowlwiches are equally awesome! Almost every sauce or combination of sandwich that we ordered was a hit! its right across the street from UNM and attracts a nice crowd. u can go as topping heavy on your sand/bowl wich as you want, they won’t charge you extra unless mentioned

I’m a long time Which Wich lover ever since I found this gem near the university(about three years ago). My favorite wiches are the Italian grinder, beef cheesesteak, and the seafood crab salad. I also enjoy their ice cream milkshake and their fresh cookies. Aside from the delicious wiches, I always leave happy because of the service I get and the nice atmosphere. Although it’s packed during lunch time, the service is fast and friendly. For future fans, I advise you to sign up for the Vibe Club where you get special offers and a free wich on your birthday! Don’t forget to ask for a stamp card if they ever fail to ask you because you can also get a free one when you fill up the card.

Great food, great prices, very friendly service. I’d like to especially call out the waitress Amanda. While my wife was carrying our baby to the bathroom, Amanda went and got her the door key before we even knew we needed one. I know it’s not a major thing but being that attentive and caring means a lot! Would eat here again.

We’ve been to this location twice now and their food and service are consistently great. Lots of variety, basically something for everyone. I had the small Buffalo Chicken today. I chose the wheat bread and made it a skinny(they hollow out the inside of the bread to reduce the calories.) The Buffalo sauce was just spicy/tangy enough to give it a good little kick. My daughter had the medium Elvis(peanut butter, banana and bacon). She really liked it, but that’s also to say she’s a fan of all 3 ingredients. Oh, just a note on sandwich size. Unless you’re starving or a big eater, the small is quite enough food. I wouldn’t have been able to eat half of the medium. This location is clean and the staff is always friendly. Nice little outdoor patio too.

My fiancé and I love Which Wich. I took him here when we first started dating and every time we’re in the UNM area, it’s his first pick for food. He always orders too much just so he can have it the day after as well. This place does everything right and makes you appreciate having such a great little place to eat right by campus, though while I’m trying to get a wedding figure it’s sure a problem.(: Thanks Which Wich for beign so awesome!

You get what you pay for hitos! Although I’m not a fan of chains I believe this place is a locally owned franchise so… I always order a hot chicken sandwich with a bunch of toppings, you can load them on here; green chile, veggies, sauces yada, yada… they only charge extra for stuff like extra meat and avocado. For less than six bucks I usually get a predictably tasty sammich with much higher quality ingredients and friendlier service than nasty a$$ subway. I recommend it. I just want them to say«welcome which wich, which wich would like?». Party on.

Minimalist tasty sandwich. Good: Friendly staff. Tasty sandwich. Bad: No gluten free bread or wrap available. Ugly: $ 6 to $ 7 plus dollars for a minimum amount of meat with no potato offered, like similar restaurant called Lumpys. For this price, why should the customer have to pay $ 2 to $ 4 more to get the right amount of meat on the sandwich. Until a better bang for the $ is offered we can’t recommend this restaurant. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

I love the chicken sandwich in wheat bread. You can choose what to be in your sandwich. Nice people. Great choice when you want a delicious sandwich so quickly.

I was amazed. It was delicious. In the kitchen, I am a very creative individual. I walked in a bit confused seeing brown bags numbered on a carousal, but it only took seconds for me to feel right at home. I made me something special a unique piece of deliciousness. In my opinion this is one of the best, and I know this because, I can hardly wait to go again.

So I had the small Grinder on a white bun with a variety of different veggies, mozzarella cheese, and vinegar and oil. One word YUM! They nailed this sandwich perfectly. I was able to take advantage of their check in offer, even though I didn’t see it until after I’d already paid for my food. Service was great, food came out super fast(and they were busy too), and the best part was that the sandwich itself was only like $ 5& change. With a bottled water it was still under $ 8. Great sandwich, service and pricing. Now if only they had one in Ventana Ranch… Idea for a new location maybe? :-)

I’m not sure I can write a review that does this place justice. For starters, I walked in completely unassuming, having no idea what I was in for. I checked out the menu and searched for a bag(separated by sandwich genre) that looked appetizing. The man at the register, Matt, was fabulous and very helpful. He showed me how to select my sandwich, size, bread, toppings and sauces and gave me the thumbs up on all my choices. I chose a 10.5 inch Grinder(go big or go home) with provolone, black olives, mushrooms, olive salad, oregano, garlic and oil. It was amazing. The bread was crusty and toasted and the cheese was melty! The«olive salad», which is pretty much your standard tapenade, was a perfect addition and very flavorful. Their check-in offer is a free fountain drink; that’s always a nice bonus. I will totally return! This place is fast, super friendly, really tasty and a great value for the money!

Great concept: grab a bag corresponding to the type of sandwich you want, then customize any way you want it. Great sandwiches, loads of options and unique toppings and sauces. Fast, super friendly service. The only downside to this place is that it is always packed! It’s worth the wait.

Don’t get me wrong, Which Wich sandwiches are great… if they actually make the sandwich you ask for. Unfortunately, in my experience it is fairly likely that something will be wrong with your order. I have been frequenting this Which Wich location since I moved to NM about two years ago, and although many of my experiences have been great(which keeps me coming back), I have found that very often one or more of my toppings will be missing. About a month ago I ordered a ‘turkeywich’ to go, which consists of turkey, coleslaw, and 1000 island. Sadly, I came home to just turkey and 1000 island. Considering 33% of this sandwich’s components were missing, I came close to Unilocaling about that experience. Alas, my stubborn fondness for WW kept me from complaining. Flash forward to today. I order a turkey sandwich with four vegetable toppings, to go. I get home and what do I find? A delicious turkey sandwich with… mayo! Yep, just mayo. Turkey and mayo. I added a picture of this beauty to the Unilocal Which Wich page. After this experience, along with WW’s past discretions, I think I am done with this place. I understand the sandwich makers have a lot of customers at lunch time, but when there are so many lunch options near UNM it is hard to justify coming here.

Rule número uno about nailing a good sangwich here: get sauced. No, I’m not saying this is great drunkard cuisine, although I’m sure it is, and I’m guessing more than a few college kids have already figured this out. I’m talking about the secret to the paper bag conundrum that otherwise baffles the average Joe with creative decision-making. The trick here, friend, is that there«Spreads & Sauces» column: BBQ, Buffalo, Marinara, Pesto, Olive Salad, Hot Pepper Mix. No matter what you stick between those buns(wow, that came out badly), the sauce makes the ride memorable, so don’t go without. Full disclosure: the owner walked me through the options and underlined the sauce clause for me, so I was mentored by an expert. I tried the Wicked because it was«the signature», five meats guaranteed to deliver overwhelming carnivorous joy and elevated blood pressure in the same bite. I had it double toasted, which was probably secret numero dos: take the time to allow the medley of meats, cheeses and veggies meld together under some heat. It’ll take a few more minutes out of your busy schedule, but the product will be worth your while. And that can make THE difference between the«meh» and the«mmm». So to review: add a sauce, get it thoroughly toasted. Any questions?
