I love winning coffee. I spend a lot of time here. I’m here at least 3 times a week. It’s good food that’s worth the money. I love getting their 2 dollar coffee because you get 3 cups! That’s ¢66 a cup. That’s cheaper than McDonald’s and it’s delicious. My friends and I will literally hang out and drink coffee here all day. The workers remember you and make you feel like you’re friends. They often remember what you want and it’s almost like you know them on a personal level. If you want a cozy, social, hang out café then this is your number one place. I take people here and they immediately tell me that they feel like they’re on friends. I love this place. It’s my home away from home. The breakfast burrito is amazing, the coffee is amazing, the tea is amazing. My personal favorite is the breakfast burrito. I highly recommend you come at least once.

Coffee is always burnt, you get what you pay for I guess. Food is definetly NOT worth what you pay for. The hasbrowns are ALWAYS undercooked. However, the chile and pastries are great. Service sucks. The cashiers seem bothered. Can’t walk outside with out somebody trying to bum a cigarette off you.

Locks are amazing, many options of seating, free parking in the back, metered parking in the front. They have a ton of goodies and a wide variety of teas and drinks.

Winning is my favorite coffee shop. The coffee is tasty, they’re reasonably-priced, and they’re very accommodating. I’ve always enjoyed the food a lot as well.(The cole slaw is surprisingly delicious!) I go there to work on homework and I never feel rushed. I just take my reusable Winning mug and keep getting it filled up with coffee or tea. It has the perfect variety of moods. Sometimes there is music, sometimes there isn’t. Sometimes it is loud and sometimes it is quiet. Sometimes it is metal and sometimes it is folky, or ambient. It’s always a pleasant surprise. The place is hip in a way that you wouldn’t be surprised if the staff was kind of stuck-up(I’ve had some terrible experiences with that sort of thing in other places that I’ve lived), but they are very polite and friendly and not«too-cool-for-you» acting at all. I haven’t lived in ABQ very long and I don’t know many people, but the familiar cast of characters at Winning makes me feel like a part of a little community(even though I never actually talk to anyone…) I already said it once, but I’ll say it again: Winning is my favorite.

When inside(and sometimes outside) it feels like I’m in an episode of Portlandia. You can always see some interesting people here. I would best describe them as hipsters or hippy-chic. I sometimes will go here just to people watch; it’s pretty great! On another note, the food here is great! I believe they have an emphasis on purchasing their food locally and fresh. I’ve had their breakfast burrito, sandwich and soup. All were fresh and delicious! The coffee is pretty darn good too! Sometimes you have to be mentally prepared for the people you might encounter here. I recommended this place to a coworker. He walked inside, saw the interesting people, and then decided to leave without ordering. Definitely give it a try if you’re looking for a different kind of coffee shop.

Top notch coffee and food. I mean bacon goat cheese wraps? Anytime you can have goat cheese you should say yes! Great and friendly staff. You are immediately home! You should come here

I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place and the shorter guy with the glasses really knows how to make their assorted beverages and is awesome; the food is good and consistent. I try to go in when I see certain members of staff working, because they’re great. The big guy with the beard is always an ass, I’m not asking for a hug and a bromance, just some human decency; you work in face-to-face customer service(as do I), I hate a lot Of people too man, but your attitude genuinely sucks.

Solid breakfast burrito and amazing mocha shake. It’s a cool hipster coffee place that has different artwork displayed. There’s a bulletin board of things going on. And I think MWF there’s a guy that comes in to sell books at 10 am. He’s suppose to have cool stuff from what I heard. If you bring your own cup the coffee is cheaper.

Food is amazing. Too bad I can’t say the same about the service and the people who work here. And the coffee. It’s a coffe shop, it should have good coffee.

Hands down some of the best coffee in town. If you bring your own vessel it is only 1 $ for a cup o joe, foods good, and a good portion for the to go breakfast burritos. Get the burritos with red chili.

I’m a repeat customer to this place(this was my fourth time here). I like the food and the coffee, but today I had a terrible experience with the cashier. I’m legally blind and have trouble seeing(obviously). I read the sign at the beginning of the line that said Today’s Quiche had onions, cheese, etc, and when I got to the front I told the cashier I wanted Today’s Quiche. He said«which one?» I said I don’t know, the one on the sign. He said«do you want the vegetarian one or the one with meat» and I said I hadn’t noticed that so I walk back towards the sign, and he follows me. He points at the sign and says«mushroom or bacon». I say bacon and then he asks if I want a soup or salad with that. I asked him what types of soups they have, and instead of telling me, he points at a sign off to my left and says the soups are listed there. Really?! You can’t just tell you customers that the quiche options are bacon or mushrooms, and what the soup options are? You have to be rude, and try to make your customers feel like their presence and questions are an inconvenience to you? I won’t be going back.

The iced latte I got was so bitter and burned that I couldn’t have more than my first sip. The guy behind the counter was rude, and I didn’t get the feeling that I would get a better latte if I told him. So I left. While we were waiting for someone to come to the counter to help us, a woman came up and put a dead bee on the cash register and then walked away. I don’t really know what to say about that one. The vibe is pretty hipster, but I liked it and thought I could see myself coming there to get some work done. But there are better places nearby to get coffee, like Duggan’s or Michael Thomas. Plus they are really nice to you there. It’s possible I just had a random bad experience, but with so many other reliable options I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

When people think of coffee on Harvard and Central, they think of another quirky coffee place — My client gave me this knowing look and smile when I had told him I spent a Monday camped out on this side of town working. At least I hope that’s why he was giving me that look … Hah. No, sir, it’s not what you’re thinking — I was at Winnings! How can you hate this place when you can get a nice mug o’ Joe for a bucksomething with a free refill?! I love the hippie vibe going on inside. Brought me back to college(Go Rams! Sorry, Lobo friends!). Great for people watching too. Perfect place to get some work or studying done or curl up with a good read. I also had the Green Chile Quesadilla. The chile didn’t have that blazing, vibrant spice I crave; however, it was delicious, filling and affordable. Is there ever an open mic night or live music? Because the setting is perfect. Too divey or dumpy for you? That’s OK! Just know when you come here, you won’t have a sanitized, soulless coffee experience like when you visit a Starf! cks. This place is indeed a winning option for coffee, and the perfect office away from the office on business trips.

Great staff in a little bit cheaper than Starbucks. Are you the scones are good. but I tried the banana bread. Lots of cheating with couches tables and chairs a great college feel right across the street from unm. Beware the parking Nazis I came here when an appointment was cancelled last minute, got distracted and nearly got a parking ticket.

The coffee is great, the people are… interesting. The staff isn’t very friendly and the customer base is decidedly crunchy. The cream of mushroom soup I had was sooooo good. THe bagel was decent but the«green chile» cream cheese had maybe two tiny pieces of green chile in it – so it lacked the flavor and heat I was looking for. Hubby was very happy with his burrito though. I’d go back just to see what other homemade soups the do!

Very low key bohemian vibe inside. I especially loved the man who was selling used books inside the café. Apparently, he does this everyday? It was my first time as well as my friend’s. We had no idea what to expect but had heard good things from a local. Dear lord, the servings are massive and delicious! We went with the huevos rancheros and our plates were packed edge to edge with food. It was all deliciousness so we happily stuffed ourselves. Best part it was super cheap! Go hungry. Leave happy.

For starters the coffee beans are over roasted. I had a macchiato, what I saw was just sad. They topped the macchiato with pre made froth. Literally pulled out from a container in the fridge. The burned flavor of the beans just ruined the drink. On another note, I also ordered an iced chai that ended up coming from the fridge. Again pre made, and also too spicy. This review is specifically more towards the drinks I had.

«Sometimes Winning can take all day» was the saying and also a Facebook group at one point. Although my old crew here has disintegrated the vibe goes on dude. Bring your own cup and regular coffee, hot or iced is only a buck and change. Double shot espresso drinks only two bones amigo(with cup). The breakfast burrito prices went up but they’re using local eggs now and it makes a difference! The breakfast burros are and I also love the reuben sammy. Before Albuquerque’s coffee boom this was our«central perk». I still see many friends, fellow students, acquaintences, community members and professors here. Decent coffee, good random conversations on the patio, great food at a good price, this places is a staple man; a real community coffee shop. WINNINGPORVIDA!

Winning always is a great place to go, whether you want exquisite coffee from different parts of the world or some great New Mexican food, it has it all. I usually come here for coffee but the food is great an inexpensive. It’s a fun coffee shop– always has art up… Sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Bradley’s books every mon, wed, Friday where you can find great books for cheap. Last it’s a great people watching place– lots of interesting people around Harvard district.

The coffee was enjoyable. The décor was ok but clean. The staff polite although not terribly engaging. The best part was the amateur musicians who were there to sing and demonstrate their talents.
