When I’m on the road and cannot bring my juicer with me… and I have thought about it… this is my «travel breakfast» that powers me through my day. The Vivacious with some wheatgrass — celery, apple, beets and carrots. FEELGOOD!

Yes, another review of a chain. But Keva Juice is a pretty good place. They are trying to make their smoothies healthy. Yes, they aren’t as healthy as the ones you can make at home or get at the co-op, but they are decent in their own way. Like any good place, they will modify a smoothie for you if you don’t want dairy or sugar or bananas in a particular concoction. I’m taking two stars off, because though they have an extensive nutritional information three-ring binder filled with pages for almost every smoothie, supplement, yogurt and sherbet, their no sugar added ice cream has no such page and is a complete mystery. This is the case for the entire chain, including the corporate website. The only way it seems to be able to find out the ingredients and nutritional information is to email corporate headquarters. That’s not cool. This particular location of Keva Juice gets to keep a star, because it has Happy Hour specials, which I haven’t seen at other locations throughout the area or in other cities. And trust me, I’ve been to quite a few. The Happy Hour is pretty much the entire day, because it starts at noon and goes until closing time. Oh, and just because the address says they are on Central Avenue, they really are on Harvard Boulevard, within the first block on the east side of the street.
