Took my son for his first haircut and I was so disappointed. They weren’t very friendly, the person who cut his hair seemed like they were on drugs, and they kept pushing a cheap paper certificate for first haircut. His haircut looks terrible. It makes me sad that this is our first haircut memory.

Quick service. No problem with walk ins but the stylist was very rude and didn’t follow any of the instructions I wanted for my child’s hair. Yay happy birthday… here is a crappy quickly done hair cut. Get a better attitude lady! You work with kiddos!

Took my son for his first haircut/​fix up and they did amazing. He looks so handsome. And our son is only 15 months old and they had a trick to getting him to sit still. It was awesome. And the ladies there were super nice.

Took my son in for his first haircut. My son was instantly in the toy area playing. He was called in right away and our hair dresser was very friendly. My son was afraid of getting the haircut and I was glad that our hair dresser was patient with us during the process. Will be back again for another haircut.

We’ve been going here for 3 years and I’ve always had a great experience here and recommended it to others. Tonight, however, there were two new employees and I’m not sure we’re ever going back. We arrived a little after 5 for our appointment, and were immediately met with an attitude. The hairstylist was not friendly and rushed through my son’s haircut, ignoring his complaints that she was hurting him with the vigorous hair brushing/​combing (through very very curly and thick hair), then with the clippers (he’s never complained before about either) until I asked what was wrong. She was slightly more gentle after that, but did not shampoo him as I had requested for our appointment. I was asked to pay as soon as the haircut started, then they locked the door (at maybe 5:20 pm; the sign clearly states they are open until 6 pm) and once the haircut was over, one girl had disappeared and the other began sweeping. We were ignored. No one even let us out; I had to take the keys and unlock the door myself. No thank you, no goodbye, nothing. And we were «finished» by 5:26. I’m very very disappointed and actually joined Unilocal in the hopes I could post this review and the owner would realize what was going on. Again, I have always loved this place, my son has enjoyed his haircuts and they have always been friendly and done a great job. Not tonight.

The staff of stylists at Kids Jungle Cuts is awesome. I’ve been taking my daughter there for three years and even though we’ve been through a couple of different stylists, they’re always professional and skilled at doing kid (and adult!) haircuts. We love Moriah and the rest of the staff is friendly. Affordable and fun! I highly recommend.

I brought my daughter here to get her bangs trimmed and hair braided for a wedding. They were great. Clean and friendly.

I’ve been bringing my kids here for 2 – 3 years now. I was glad to see the kid friendly environment, small play area, tv’s at each booth and the jungle theme. Yes when I first visited it did seem a bit dirty but decided to give it a try since the staff was so friendly and my kids were excited to have a kid place to get a hair cut. The best part was the regulars who would come in and the staff knew them and knew what style they wanted. So I decided to continue coming and the staff got to know my kids as well.
In my last visit I did notice the staff had changed from the girls that I normally knew or recognized. Yes the place looked like it had finally been cleaned but I had also lost some great stylist who knew what I wanted for my kids. The last time I took my kids I told the stylist I wanted a scissor hair cut and she insisted on the clippers. At that point I just wanted to leave and not come back. In the end my son did get his scissor hair cut.
I do want to continue coming here, but I do also want a friendly staff.

This place needs to replace it’s workers, my son came in for a haircut and walked out with a butchered cut that looks like he had did him self. One of the younger girls fixed it, but they don’t know how to deal with little kids. The place was a mess, not very organized. I’ll just have go find some other place. Just be warned. They also don’t even offer a refund discount or anything so if your kids walks out with a messes up cut than your just stuck with it.

Gave this place a try since it was tailored to kids. Big mistake. I will never return. They butchered my sons long shaggy hair! To fix his cut we will have to go the the razor. In addition to the terrible cut, the facility is filthy and the staff was nice but did seem too experienced and they were not that great with toddlers. I thought about leaving when I walked in. Should have listened to my intuition. Very disappointed!

Took my one year old to get his first haircut. I didnt get his stylists name, she had short wavy redish brown hair. The haircut was quick, about ten minutes. I really like how it came out. The stylist stayed calm (although my son was throwing a fit!) and worked quickly. Only complaint about her is she smelled like cigarettes. I would expect someone who works with kids all day to wait until after work to smoke.
Anyways, the inside was decorated kid friendly. A small flat screen at every booth. You even have the option to take your childs favorite dvd and play it during their haircut. I did not get a first haircut certificate or picture as the previous reviewer did, bummer!
Base price is 16 + tip. Overall i enjoyed the service and i will be bringing my son back!

Only negative: a little bit understaffed. Stylists have to staff the front desk.
We took our two kids for their first hair cuts. My son, 10mo and daughter, 3yr, both in to get a trim.
The salon is very kid friendly, with plenty for them to do while they wait. If you book an appointment like we did, your wait is only a couple of minutes.
Mackenzie did both of our kid’s hair. Her station is well decorated and like every other station, has a movie playing. She did very well with my girl, giving her hair some shape. Very quick and clean. My only critisim is that I’d like to have her discuss with us what she thinks would be some good ideas for my daughters hair.
My son had a mood swing mid cut, which we thought Mackenzie handled well. She did a little boy cut on him, but in a fit of rage, my son buzzed himself. She felt bad, did her best to fix it, and I the end, you could not really tell. Either way, we recognize the difficulty in cutting a baby’s hair and honestly we didn’t care to be angry about it… Hair grows back, no biggie! She did discount the cut for the error, and while grateful, wasn’t necessary. Good customer service!
They presented both our kids with first haircut certificates with their pictures taken and signed by Mackenzie. Our kids got a reward and our daughter didn’t have a hard time at all.
We will be back.
