Bought some green chile chocolate here for around 5 $. The taste was ok, just spicy enough, but the texture was strange — like it had melted and resolidified. I don’t think they tempered it correctly. For the price I was bummed. I almost orderd a hot chocolate but then I noticed the bottles of Hershey’s syrup they must make it with. I won’t be going back.

I have no patience for people who are not open within an hour after their posted hours. They might’ve had great products, who knows?

Best green chile fudge ever! Wish they would sell it online! Be sure to try their other green chile goodies.

La Choco, loosely translated, means«delicious chocolate morsels,» and that’s exactly what you’ll find at this delightful little shoppe. When you go, you MUST order the frozen cheesecake covered in chocolate and nuts. Oh, my. How can I share with you the delight gleaned from this decadent dessert? Well, I should mention that I’ve never liked cheesecake; it’s disgusting and whoever invented a dessert based on cheese was demented and unleashed a culinary disgrace. I suppose that’s the ire you risk when you take chances; but I digress. Back to the treats & chocolate: they’re to die for. I study here frequently, and the owner, Carmen, is always bringing me a new morsel to try. Yesterday it was frozen pineapple dipped in chocolate; last week it was various caramels. By this method, I’ve tried nearly every delight in this small café and am impressed every time. The next time you find yourself in Old Town, do yourself a favor and stop by — tell her Danielita sent you!

Wonderful little candy shop! My partner and I just stopped in today to have a cup of coffee and take a load off while wandering through old town. The owner is super nice and comped one of our coffees because her machine was a little slow. Coffee was very good. Bought some amazing goodie like chocolate covered plums(so delicious) and my partners favorite chili peanut brittle. Stocked up on some great treats and had a very enjoyable sit down. A must visit on our return trip to Albuquerque.

I REALLY want to give this place a better review. Really. But I just can’t. It’s small, not a very large selection, it’s very expensive, and the quality is just so-so. Any one of those things would not be an enormous issue for me in most cases. But, all combined and I just can’t say much positive. Ok, I can say that it is very local. I like that. I am very much hoping that this place comes up in quality and down in price in the coming months. Ill check back and update as needed. But right now, I just can’t recommend it. Too bad…
