I was very disappointed with this place — once upon a time I worked off Alameda and could get to their location off Paseo and I-25, which is now closed(July 2015). Really fiending for the authentic NM flavors I drove all the way down 4th street — remembering only after I got there that this is a walk-up. And a ratty looking walk-up, at that. The menu wasn’t at all what I remembered from the other location and what I got looked like your typical hot-pan style mexican slop. I didn’t even finish, things were so soggy and pathetic by the time I got home it wasn’t even appetizing. There was a time when I would’ve jumped at the chance to eat little anita’s but that time has passed. Not the worst but they were better. Pass.

No bean option without animal lard or «manteca.» It’s 2014. Not even the crappiest taco trucks are putting animal lard in their beans. Oil is a standard. No argument there. Denver location at least has an actual«vegetarian» black bean option. And they use fake honey that is gmo corn syrup based with their sopapillas.

The frito pies are made with refried beans. I’ll be back.
