While on a long drive we stayed a night in Albuquerque. We stayed near Mariscos and decided to give it a try. Food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly! I would recommend stopping in to eat here!

We have been here 3 times in the last 4 years. Always on our road trip to Indianapolis from San Diego! We stay at the nearby Motel 6! The best dishes are the various Ceviches and oyster dishes, especially the grilled oysters with shrimp and cheese. The traditional Mexican combo are also satisfying as are the Modelo negra draft and house margarita! The red salsa is HOT while the green, verde, is mild! Great Chips! Be Aware the dishes are FILLING and rich! I posted pictures when we checked in!

Tasty food, awesome margaritas! The ceviche here is consistently tasty and some of the best refried beans in town!

Good Mexican food. I had the shrimp tacos. Best part about this place is the margaritas! Best margarita I have ever had. Perfect balance of tequila, lime and agave :)

The food here is always pretty good. The carnitas r a great choice. One of us had the crab enchiladas with green sauce and they were good too. Chips and salsa are complementary. If you drink they seem to have a big variety of cocktails. Give them a try.

Ordered fish tacos and chicken enchiladas to go while staying nearby. Food was prepared quickly and it was DELICIOUS! The fish tacos were different from what I’m used to. They had a spicy breading, I think they said the fish was pollock — it was a whitefish in any event. Lots of lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese on top. Nice. Enchiladas were HUGE. Overall, I’d say this was really gringo Mexican food, but truth is the place was full of folks who look like they know Mexican food better than me, and that’s a great vote of confidence.

I had the carne asada burrito and the ceviche. The ceviche was ok but the burrito was great. It has a special cheesy sauce and comes with rice and beans. Giant portions and good service. Inside looks like a pirate themed Denny’s. Will be back to try their tortas.

We were SO disappointed in our lunch at Mariscos last Saturday. While our waitress was great and the chips and salsa were phenomenal, it took our lunches 38 minutes to get to us. By the time they arrived, the food was cold, greasy and mine was dry. Plus, their Caritas tasted like disgusting burnt oil. Our lunch was so bad we didn’t even request to go boxes. We’re really bummed about our experience there. Don’t think we’ll be going back anytime soon. Sorry Mariscos. You really dropped the ball on that one.

A nice ocean theme, live music serenading the great food. A great surf and turf menu with excellent taste.

Was looking for a decent Mexican meal, instead got lousy food and rude staff. Their website says they’re open till 10 so I didn’t think it would be a problem when I arrived for dinner at 9:00. From the get go I knew it wasn’t going to be a good experience. The hostess ignored me for a bit(I think she was hoping I’d leave), the waitress was rude and instead of giving me a few minutes to look over the menu just stood there waiting for me to pick. Had a shrimp cocktail and the combo dinner. The shrimp tasted like foul swamp water and the main course was nasty. Greasy and bland. I’ve had better meals at a Taco Bell.

I’ve had the shrimp cocktail and the Campechano Cocktail and they’re awesome! I think they can add a bit more shrimp though, but over all it’s delicious!

I was so excited to come here for dinner because the La Quinta Inn where we were staying recommended it. We were told at our hotel check in that they offer a free margarita to hotel customers with a key. This was a great incentive to go there after a long ride from Phoenix, Arizona(6+ hours). My husband and I were greeted when we walked in and seated promptly. The restaurant was nearly empty except for three or four customers. I requested the free margarita showing my room key and my husband did the same. To our surprise the waiter returned with one margarita. He explained it was one margarita per table. This is not what we had been told. So disappointing! After talking with the waiter for a couple of minutes it became very clear that if my husband and I sat at different tables we both would have gotten a free margarita. At that moment I was tempted to go and sit at another table just to prove a point. My husband encouraged me against that plan of action and he just ordered a beer. In my opinion this is a crazy offer. Who goes to a restaurant and sits separately from their spouses or companions. I am disappointed that I ate at this restaurant, because there were others choices in the area. In addition, the free house margarita wasn’t that good and the food was bland. My husband and I both ordered the Enchiladas Rancheros, he ordered beef and I ordered the chicken. I will definitely speak with the hotel clerk because this should be made very clear before sending anyone to eat there. I am sure they will not change anything about the free margarita deal. BUTTHEYSHOULD!

I’m going to tell you three things about this restaurant. 1. Thursday’s $ 5 drinks in a fish bowl 2. Oysters 3. Shrimp cocktail The menu is awesome – the location hard to find. Read my list again and you’ll see why details are sketchy, but a «must do» locale when you are in Albuquerque or stuck anywhere on the West-side on a Thursday.

Again, for living in a landlocked state this place isn’t shabby. We had an excellent meal and beverage before heading to a show at Isleta Casino. We were seated right away and our server attended to us quite often. For that alone, I bumped up the rating to a 4-star. They had a nice man playing the guitar with old Spanish/Mexican love songs, which just reminds me of growing up and my beautiful mama.

Mexican seafood? Yes, please! Coastal Mexican is fanfreakintastic, and I am a huge fan. Crab enchiladas, say what? Yeah, they have them… and they’re amazing. I don’t think you can get them anywhere else in town. This is pretty much the only thing I eat here, but the fish tacos are tasty as well. Mexican food is different than New Mexican, and this place knows what’s up. Everything has always been fresh, hot, and super flavorful on my visits. The staff is friendly, we get seated pretty quickly even when it’s busy, and the live music only adds to the atmosphere.
