Good but not great. Just a lot of gooey burrito and potatoes and cheese. Perfect for when you’re craving — but otherwise it’s just overkill.

There are hardly any Mexican food restaurants within 10 minutes of my home. To get a good bite, I’ve got to venture over to the war zone or old town. And those places are closed by 8pm. It’s 830 on a Thursday night and I’m ravenous after work. I really want tacos but I don’t want taco cabana. Where do I go for good takeout this late?! Twisters! I call and the lady on the phone was so nice! I got the taco plate(beef) and I got the hubby the carne adovada burrito plate(smothered). It’s yummy! The tacos are delicious and fresh. The salsa is surprisingly spicy, in a good way. The hub is devouring his red chile packed carne adovada. Success!

Abq, Local, N.M. Disappointment. First word that comes to my mind. I was looking for a Twisters burrito stuffed with meat. Out of all the times that I’ve been to Twisters this has been the biggest disappointment. I went through the drive thru this time, and the young blonde lady who helped me was very nice. My food was ready when I pulled up to the window, so I was on my way in no time. When I got home, and looked at the burrito I saw the mound of fries, cheese, and lettuce I was used to seeing. I thought it would be what I was expecting. After getting to the actual burrito I noticed it was lacking the amount of meat I would normally get. I can always depend on getting a stuffed meat burrito from Twisters, but this time I didn’t get that. I won’t let this one bad experience ruin all of the other good experiences I have. Twisters just wasn’t with it today.

This morning my Wife and I went for breakfast this morning and it’s just amazing how nice the people that work there are! and the food is just wonderful. We were greeted at the door didn’t have to wait long at all even though there were other customers there. We sat and didn’t wait have long to wait for our Burrito .The Burritos were so good. and the coffee was perfect .we were asked if everything was good and the lady asked if there was anything else she could help us with. when we were leaving, we were told from behind to «have a nice day.» Pleasant experience as always

I went in here fairly early for a Saturday morning, around 7am. I was picking up half a dozen burritos of different varieties. The one thing I noticed was how great the service was! I for one am not a morning person, but the young lady at the counter was kind and friendly. I observed several of the other employees as well and they all seemed on top of it, and also friendly. For this reason alone I would go back! Twisters burritos are always delicious, doesn’t matter the location.

Admittedly, this place earned a 3 because the young man helping us was SONICE and because we only went here on our road trip from Vegas to Oklahoma because it is the chain behind«Los Pollos Hermanos» on Breaking Bad. But the food was… well, terrible. Maybe we just don’t know how to order because we aren’t from New Mexico(in fact the only person who had ever lived in New Mexico warned us NOT to go here, but being a good sport, she came with us anyway. Incidentally, she ordered the nachos which were the least objectionable thing ordered). My friend and I ordered a «grilled chicken sandwhich» for which we expected a grilled chicken breast. We got some weird chicken patti. Finally, the last person«leaned in» to to the Twisters experience and got that burrito with the fries on top. No bueno. I am sorry to give such a bad review because the young man was so nice and they so helpfully displayed a poster advertising Breaking Bad, but that was where the good times ended.

Today I went through their drive thru; I ordered a number four breakfast burrito, and when any breakfast burrito is ordered, then a 79 cent coffee may be purchased. The burrito tasted good, and for that I gave it an «A-OK» for their yummy food. I would have given it four stars if the worker would have added the cream and sugar to my coffee for me, but I had to pull over and add those extras myself before I hit the road again. The coffee was okay. I also ordered a number two burrito for my daughter with a small orange juice. That burrito also tasted good [according to my child], but the 99 cent orange juice is the same juice offered to APS students — the small boxed type. Therefore, in the future my suggestion is to buy all of your drinks at another location before getting the drive thru food items.

This is by far and away the best location, in my opinion. I’m a creature of habit… when I find something I like, I stick with it. For years, I have ordered the #6 handheld Taos burrito w/no green chile and extra cheese. This location makes much bigger burritos than the 5 or 6 other locations I’ve been to. The ingredients are always hot and fresh. My ONLY complaint is the fact that I order extra cheese everytime… and everytime(and I mean EVERYTIME) there is no extra cheese. In fact, there is only a small bit of cheese. If I didn’t order it w/extra cheese, would they even put cheese on it? I’ve told the kid at the drive thru about this on 3 different occasions… next time will talk to manager. I just end up throwing some cheese on it when I get home. But really, that’s a small complaint compared to the big ‘ol burritos these folks make. The iced tea is fresh brewed and never tastes old and stale which is another big plus in my book.
