Excellent Indian food in ABQ! I came across this place when I lived in NWABQ at their Rio Rancho location and absolutely adored their food. I was sad when we moved into town because I wasn’t likely to make the trek out to Rio Rancho that often. Then they opened this location this fall and I was so happy! I’ve had their chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, samosas, a handful of lentil dishes, and naan — all of which have been absolutely delicious! I am a wuss about spicy dishes, but my fiancé is not and he loves their vindaloo dishes(including goat vindaloo!). We have yet to try a dish that disappoints. They also have an excellent lunch buffet and the quality of the food is just as good as the menu dishes. The serving staff are attentive and friendly, water glasses stay full, and the food comes out quickly. I would highly recommend this place(both the Yale and Rio Rancho locations).

Love their brunch buffet. It’s so tasty. I love that you get your favorites and can try a few new items. It’s always very fresh. Naan is brought out fresh to your table. My daughter likes their fountain…

I love this place, and am so excited that there is a location close enough to walk to, instead of driving all the way to Rio Rancho! I’m vegetarian about 98% of the time, but the goat dishes here are fantastic. Goat vindaloo and goat curry had wonderful spices and tender meat; there was enough sauce for all of that airy garlic naan, too. The samosas are huge and delicious. Aloo gobi and saag chana were also perfect. The service was friendly and our Masala tea was always full. The trickling fountain(I never actually saw it) added to the very peaceful atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back for the lunch buffet… probably tomorrow!

I have been here as well as their branch in Rio rancho many times. I being a vegetarian my options here though limited, they are finger licking. Out of all the items, I love the yellow tadka dal, malai kofta and bhindi masala. Among the appetizers, i like the samosa chat which is tangy. The best part of this place is every entreé by default comes with a choice of a bread or basmati rice. This makes the order simpler. Vegetable Biryani served here is a must try and the best in town. They do serve some Indo — chinese dishes like momos and chow mein. But I have never tasted them. Altogether it is a decent dine in and, one will surely come out satisfied.

What a wonderful surprise! We went late on Monday night and there were very few customers, which made me a little wary. I ordered my two favorite dishes: Chicken Tikki Masala and Saag Paner. Both dishes were excellent, almost the best I’ve ever had! Glad I found this place as we were passing through town.

Had lunch there this afternoon and it was everything I could have hoped for. Very nice greeting from staff when I arrived. The selection of food on the buffet was amazing.

This is the reincarnation of the now expired Indian restaurant that was ‘Maurya’! I never went to the place before the recent name and management change but the first thing i noticed was that they ‘live up to their title’! Namaste in India is a sign of hospitality and hospitality is one thing i did not perceive a lack of during my visit. They were extremely friendly and respectful(we were actually asked if everything was okay about 10 times by 3 different people during our 30 minute visit!) and the service was pretty quick. All the dishes tasted great and the best part was that they were very economical. we certainly look forward to visiting them again
