Always great service and excellent food. The pasta dishes are large and cooked just right. The Greek chicken is the best restaurant chicken in Albuquerque. Just the right lemon seasoning. Wait staff are very attentive and management always roams the dining area checking in everyone.

Nick and Jimmy’s is an unique fusion of various cuisines, including Greek, Surf and Turf with telhe traditional Mexican undertones. Tonight was my first visit and the Green Chile Lasagna was delicious! I had the red pasole as an appetizer which was not your traditional pasole, more a a bisque texture, but the taste was not lacking. The service was prompt and friendly. The manager stopped by our table and gave us a nice first time welcome. This is a fine dining restaurant and the price reflects the cuisine, servicd and atmosphere. A live piano player made for a peaceful dinner. Thanks Nick and Jimmy’s for a awesome first impression!

NOT vegan friendly. After going around in circles with the waitress, who was making an effort but clearly hadn’t received adequate training, I asked if I could have plain chile enchiladas with beans and rice. The waitress asked if I wanted chicken in the enchiladas, and THEN asked if I wanted cheese. My jaw dropped. She eventually brought me two corn tortillas with about a tablespoon of chile drizzled on top. It was beyond awkward and I left the restaurant still extremely hungry. I never would have gone there in the first place except that THEYADVERTISED as «vegan-friendly».

Nick and Jimmy’s is honestly going downhill for me. I’ve always loved this place but for my last two visits the service has left much to be desired and the food had been truly subpar. Our servers these past two times were very abrupt and completely uninterested in interacting with us beyond what was necessary. I’m not sure what the food window looks like or how long our food sat there, but lukewarm tomato cream pasta is quite frankly the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten. The last time it happened, I asked them to remake the plate and received a microwaved one instead. This time I just stopped eating and our server just handed me a box and the bill. I have always loved eating here, but I probably won’t be back for a good while because I just can’t handle my favorite place not meeting my standards.

Great food! Excellent service! Amazing Martinis! To top it all off, they are huge supporters of the community and military.

Eclectic and savory food, attentive staff, nice ambiance and a great value. We tried the fish tacos and the pastitsio, both were excellent.

It’s got a little of everything. Some Greek, some Italian, some good old American. Food was OK, not great but not bad. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. There are so many great places to eat in ABQ, I don’t think this is one of them.

We went in with a party of 6 and had awesome service. The menu is very diverse so everyone found something they liked. All of us absolutely loved the food. You get a lot for your money too. We’re from out of town but will be coming back. Best food we have had in awhile especially when you have everyone with different tastes.

The service was great but my entrée was terrible! I started out with the spanikopita as an appetizer. It was light, flaky and delicious! I had the italian sausage penne and I’ve never had worse. The taste wasn’t awful but the consistency was gummy and disgusting.

Atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was fast, a little too fast to keep the atmosphere relaxed. I felt rushed. A little pricey. Our waiter was polite and attentive, but did not smile once. Most of the food was great, my husband got steak, the salad was excellent. I got the dolmades plate-the flavor was good, could do without the sauce on top(I think it would be better as a side dip), but the rice was undercooked and crunchy. Will definitely eat there again, but try a different dish.

I had cocktails, dinner, wine and dessert with my 93 year old mom and a close family friend. We were greeted by host/owner Nick Kapnison. He sat us in a beautifully spacious table accommodating my mother’s wheel chair. The place was packed with lots of customers who seemed to enjoy the ambiance and food. The Greek Lentil soup served with a dash of red wine vinegar was out if this world. My mother enjoyed the Sole which was delicately prepared on top of a bed of orzo. She drank a glass and a half of Pinot noir as she prefers red wine over white. Hey, at 93 she can drink what ever she wants. I savored the daily special which was a lightly blackened sea bass uniquely served on a bed of sweet potatoes. The explosions of flavor in my mouth after each bite satisfied my very hungry soul. I opted to try a Greek retsina(a delightfully acquired taste) with my dinner as did our family friend who dined on the Greek Pasticho. He did not leave a single bite behind. The three of us shared a crème brûlée with a cup of the brewed house coffee, finalizing our Saturday night experience with anticipation for a return one day to experience yet a different culinary delight at Nick and Jimmy’s. I almost forgot to mention, the service from waiter Eric was EXCELLENT!

A bit pricey but food was overall pretty good. They gave my table a bunch of spanikopita to eat before our food came which was yummy and a nice touch. My friend ordered the hummus with pita as an appetizer and it was super smooth and garlicy so I adored it, but I really love garlic so I might be biased. There were rolls and olive oil for dipping on the table as well, but I didn’t try it so not sure how good they are. I ordered the veggie moussaka for dinner, which was actually quite delicious-though I thought the side dishes were lacking(the vegetables were super bland and the potatoes were average at best). I love that they had a veggie moussaka but not sure it warranted the price($ 15.50). The meal did come with a greek salad which was quite delicious though. I’m giving this place 3 stars because it was a bit pricey and because though the veggie mousakka was yummy I wasn’t impressed by the side dishes on my plate.

This restaurant came highly recommended by two co-workers. Unfortunately we were not impressed. The food is slightly under mediocre and the service is just decent. Our first round of entrees(pizza and an enchilada) were way overcooked. Like, really overcooked as in pizza bottom charred and enchilada so dry it cracked when I tried to cut into it. We declined the second round of enchilada but the second pizza was… you guessed it! Undercooked. The dough was under done in the center and the cheese wasn’t when full melted. The bread and spanikopita they serve while you wait for your food is good. The olive oil dip was quite tasty. Also– the servers kept filling my club sold a with water. We won’t be back. But in a pinch the place would satisfy well enough.

This is a wonderful restaurant. Try the Parmesan encrusted sole. Fab service. One of ABQ’s BEST

I’m not sure why so many negatively review this establishment. Since its opening, my husband and I have enjoyed coming here. We especially like visiting on Sunday – we can go in our Sunday best and not be stared at, but also feel that the Sunday menu $ 13.95(increased in price by $ 1) each is very much well worth it. We also like their specials menu that is shown everyday to give us some new ideas. The waitstaff is ALWAYS professional, attentive and inviting. They remember you-which is always a good thing to me and bring you«on the house» accompaniments to make you feel right at home. They know the owners by first name and work with them. One Sunday my husband wanted an Arabic coffee and the waitress informed us they were out, no biggie, get something else. Later, she talked to Nick and came back to tell us, «nope, he brought a new kind in and would be bringing a cup on the house.» Well that was nice. And unnecessary. That’s what we’re working with here. Above and beyond. The food is quality, served fresh and healthy portions. I always take food home. The prices are middle of the road, you aren’t coming in here to eat and run and you aren’t coming to spend $ 6 on a plate of food. The Sunday faire is the best option if you are looking at a stricter budget, but overall expect to pay about $ 15 per plate. There are more high dollar options too, but well worth it. I believe we had two entrees, including soup or salad and non-alcoholic drinks and left with a bill of approx $ 37. This is great. Very well worth it. I highly recommend the lemon soup – if you like lemon. It’s a middle eastern creamy lemon chicken soup that is so tangy and wonderful. I also really enjoy the greek dressing with the salad-chilled plates of course. I also enjoy getting any of the fish dishes. The last time I was there I had a panko crusted fish served with orzo that was perfectly seasoned and battered. Simply elegant and light. Just what I wanted. Please go and check out this place. Get a bottle of wine, stay awhile. Enjoy yourself. Unlike next door – where it’s just as expensive or more, loud and sometimes not that good of service.

This is a once a year kind of place. Not because it’s bad, but because it’s over priced in my opinion. My mother and I had both had the chicken fried steak which was actually really good even though it’s not worth $ 15. The cream gravy was awesome. I’m picky about cream gravy and this was some of the best I’ve had. My mom ordered roasted red potatoes and I chose the au gratin. Her potatoes were better. Mine were ok once i had scraped off the weird tasting cheese or whatever it was on them(in their defense I’m a picky eater so if it looks or smells funny to me i won’t eat it). I wish i could have subbed french fries for the steamed veggies. And last I feel like there should have been bread with the meal but there wasn’t. All in all it was good. Not great but not terrible either. If the prices were lower I would probably come back often, but like with claim jumpers I unfortunately cannot afford $ 15 chicken fried steak :(

Visited on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was busy. We ordered the Saganaki as an appetizer and the evening special, New York strip with lobster Charon. The waiter was very professional and friendly. There was a little wait between servings but it was also busy. This was my third visit and I always enjoy their meals. Other reviews mention they have a large menu, I’ve only tried their American dishes. I think the prices are reasonable. We spent $ 60 on two entrees, an appetizer, and two drinks.

I have eaten at Nick and Jimmy’s several times and each time, the experience gets a little worse. Last night was by far the worst and I would like to never go again. I ordered the Greek plate which is vegetarian but I got a dish that had a pasta with meat sauce. What part of that dish is greek? Our party of 5 was seated in the corner behind the bar by the fire place and despite the empty room, they seated a larger party on the other side of the SAME corner. There was no room for our waitress to reach the end of our table so we had to pass our water glasses to and main dishes to the end. The menu prices are way too high for me to be serving myself. The first time we are there several years ago, the chef’s special was a stuffed flounder and it was delicious! That experience put it on our«repeat often» list but the experience has never been the same. Unfortunately, I have a gift certificate so I have to go one more time. Sigh… crab cake and dessert?

I came here as a guest of some regulars. I was very impressed! The service was first class. One of the owners personally greets people and makes sure everything is OK. Prices were fair. Now the important thing… The food! I had the best stuffed flounder! It was stuffed with crab and a few other things. It had an amazing cream sauce on it. I didn’t have time to take a pic because it went down too quick! Really only 1 recommendation. They don’t have any round tables so my group had to improvise and someone sat at the head of a square table. A round one would have been a bit more conducive for my group of 5. Highly recommend. I will be coming back next time in town.

Personally wasn’t too impressed with my Cobb salad, but my friends liked their pastas. The service was fast and they have a good bar. They have several gluten free choices, but no gf pasta! If you don’t eat seafood, gluten, and don’t want to spend $ 35 on a steak, your choices are a little slim. Overall I had a good time there, I’ll go back.
