I’ve reviewed this place before, but wanted to give another tip of the hat to them. Had the Green Chile Cheeseburger and fries. Huge burger, but not a humugus bun. Just enough bread to hold the sandwich together. Large patty cooked medium and a good portion of green chile on top. The chili is nice and spicey but doesn’t take your breath away. My companion had the Reuben sandwich, which really didn’t have a lot of taste, but was fairly good. They make their own coleslaw, and you get a huge portion; great taste. The fries are extra special, huge pieces, deep fried to just the right consistency. All in all a great meal.

I’ve been here before when I’m in ABQ for business trips and I have always really enjoyed the food, but I did not have a great experience today — I ordered a cup of soup and half a sandwich, and I received a different soup than I ordered and the smallest half sandwich ever — it was like 1⁄3 of a sandwich. My friend and I told the waitress that we ordered a different soup than what we had received, and we were told that the kitchen must have run out after we placed our order. It would have been nice if they told us that before, or even at the same time that they brought out our food; instead we had to flag down our waitress after we realized the order was wrong. All the waitress said was sorry and nothing else was done to fix the mistake. I would have ordered something different if I knew that soup was unavailable. Will be going elsewhere for lunch on future trips out here.

Food was ok, though the beef(Taos and burger) was a bit well to my tastes.(Irony alert) Biggest complaint was watching the hunting show while eating. I realize animals die for my food, but watching deer, big horn etc., being shot with a compound bow, during lunch, was not what I had anticipated.

Yay! I’m a fan. Why? The owner is marvelous! He is the kind of person you want to be around for his positivity, stories, and energy. I like his style. That, my friends, is worth seven stars. Allow me to visit this place at least four more times before I bump them up to five stars. For now, come in and enjoy good company, nice customers, that match the food and drinks.

The menu had so many amazing sounding options that it was tough to decide. But I picked a great one — the Taos with the roast beef that I read Oak Tree to be especially known for, along with cheese and green chile. Quality ingredients. Nice portion. Really nice atmosphere and décor inside with the«garage door» opening to a patio that let in the fresh air. It was my first visit but certainly won’t be the last. Next time I plan on ordering the ROCCO burger, which features asparagus and a fried egg on top of a juicy burger. Yumm!

What a great experience. Loved the food. Went on Friday and that’s the only day you will have the best fish and chips in your life. They fly it in fresh for each batch. I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to come here. Everything was fresh, hot and perfect. My toddler is a little on the selective side so the owner made her an off menu grilled cheese. You can tell they really care about making sure the customer is having a great food experience. They do it right!

Yum, yum, yum! They have a wonderful patio, and amazing food! They only got 4 stars because the service was a bit on the slow side the day we went, and the person who took our order sounded bored with life, but other than that, it was great!

What a great place! Even better than when they were at Uptown! Now they have burgers and beer too! So many yummy choices… husband has the Al Capone and it was amazing and flavorful. I had the Oak Tree Combo and it was huge and delicious! Will be back… so many things on the menu I’d like to try.

Consistently good food and service over the past several months have earned the Oak Tree 5 stars. The black and blue burger, Rocca, Capone, fish and chips and salads are all excellent. You really can’t go wrong with any thing on the menu. Well worth a try

Stopped in here on a whim after a training at CNM Workforce Center. I was initially disappointed that the patio was closed but soon saw a sign that said they were closing early for a group event– completely understandable. You order your food first from the counter and then find you seat. The menu has your normal sandwiches and then all their takes on them as well. The burgers smelled amazing, but I opted for The Charlie’s Tuna Sandwich with fresh fruit. My colleague had the turkey pesto sandwich, the special of the day. I was surprised at how quickly the food came out, always concerns me, however this time it was welcomed. The tuna was great, not too much mayo. It was served on a nice whole wheat sliced bread with a pickle spear. The fruit was great, fresh cut cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes and oranges. I will definitely be back to sit on the patio, order a craft beer and a burger. I would highly recommend this place if you are on this side of town for lunch. Four stars only because they would not serve me side of avocado because it is portioned out for sandwiched only(bit confused by that).

Neat little place near our house. The atmosphere is friendly, you can tell there a some regulars that go here. The owner?/manager seemed very nice and was working the room well. They have alot of beer choices if you are a beer person. I ordered the Friday special of fish and chips with house coleslaw. The fish was cooked perfectly and I loved the coating on the fries. The coleslaw was just okay, but for $ 12.99 I expected a little bit better. My husband loved his Hawaiian burger. I would definitely go back there and try something different and have a Corona Light on Tap.

The only reason this is marked 4 and not 5 stars is because I am not a big fan of walk up counter ordering — other than that WOW. Friendly staff, plenty of beer choices, and A-Maz-Ing food! I ordered the Sexy Hawaiian with Mac salad — ummm ummm ummm. It came out perfect /dripping with pinnacle juice, teriyaki, and was out of this world. Service was prompt and we were checked on during our meal — this shop tucked along Alameda is a «must find»!

I really like this place. I’ve been there a few times now and have enjoyed delicious burgers and sandwiches. They’ve got a great selection of beer. My favorite it Smithwicks, pronounced Smiticks. Be sure and pronounce it correctly when ordering or you will be corrected by the cashier.

This place was a real gem to find while in town passing thru. The owner and the staff were amazingly friendly. The California Salad was outstanding and a healthy portion. Good selection of beer on tap. Just an all round great experience!

Always great food and service. I’m glad they found a great location and now serve beer too. The specials really are special and they have the best pasta salad in town.

The name does not match the place but those are details I can get over. The family sports bar feel is relaxing and the windows let you see the mountains in the distance. Nice little patio with 16 beers on tap. The food is good and you can go healthy or with classic pub food. Friday Fish and Chips really rocked! Check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

I used to frequent the old location on Menaul which is now closed(I believe). As with most of the places I’m a regular at, I usually stick with one or two menu items. The Capone is my go-to sandwhich here and it has gotten better over the years. I think it’s the bread. It’s near perfection. The pasta salad is the side I always get and of course a side of Italian dressing which I dip my sandwhich into and pour into my pasta side. This location has nice décor, is clean and the service is very good. Pricing is about right compared to other similar sandwhich shops. A one star knock for being slightly skimpy on the meat(two more slices of meat would be nice) but I have to say… I get pretty full after lunch here and I’m a BIG eater. You make a solid sandwhich, Rob. Keep it up!

Seriously amazed– for a bit I felt like I was no longer in Albuquerque, felt like I was back in Denver or San Diego! Seriously comfortable atmosphere, well laid out décor with friendly staff. The owner is amazing with his staff and is openly appreciative with them. I ordered the Extreme and my wife the Swiss Gobler. Both were fresh and seriously tasty! The fried pickles were prefectly lightly battered and not greasy tasting. As soon as we walked in weer were fondly greater and the owner asked if I would like to taste a few doesn’t beers. I must say– my new favorite spot for a little get away is definitely The Oak Tree Café!!!
