Love the breakfast tacos! We always get a 12 pack. They have great breakfast lunch and dinner. Can’t wait for the Rio Rancho location.

They just can’t get it right. Take out is a mess. If you order green chile they put red on your meal. I asked for potatoes instead of rice, and they give me rice and potatoes, omitting the beans. The drive through staff are surly and indifferent. I’m done with these people. Worst service of any drive through fast food place.

Went by here late night after a flight because the line at Whataburger was too long. I have only eaten at Taco Cabana once before, in Texas several years ago. I remembered it being passable, for fast food. In this case, I can’t say that. Perhaps it was my fault for daring to order beyond the basics, but my barbacoa burrito was disgusting. The meat was so fatty that it had the texture of slime. On top of that, the tortilla didn’t even taste fully cooked. I was starving, so I ate the whole thing, but it was pretty traumatizing.

We have eaten at all three Albuquerque Taco Cabana’s. This one on San Mateo is convenient for us, we’ve been eating at this one for over 10 years, and have always had good food and good service. They recently expanded the dining room a bit. The roasted chicken is great!

Great place to come for late night or post game eats! TC is always a great option for some tex-mex food. It has a good mix of items that everyone can eat. Huge menu that serves anything from Chile rellanos, burritos, quesadillas, half chicken and even breakfast at all times of day! And the good thing is that it’s done fairly quick but doesn’t taste like a basic Taco Johns joint! I think It’s a nice break from the usual Mexican/New Mexican styles of food around Abq. Plus if you need to spice it up more they have a salsa bar with a variety of flavors. So this place is good, morning, noon and especially late night when the hunger strikes after a lobo or isotopes game!

My first time at Taco Cabana after always passing it and I LOOOOVE this place! I went through the drive thru here and I love how they have two lanes. I went during lunch time and the wait wasn’t that bad. The man who had to come out to get my card as deliver my food was really nice! After coming here I went to the one on Coors as well(see my review there).

The food is actually good and reasonably priced, just don’t expect to be greeted by a friendly staff. The guy taking our order looked like a gang member and as friendly as his switchblade. I would expect at least the proverbial, yet insincere«welcome to(fill in the blank) may I take your order?» My advice– put your friendliest staff up front and maybe I’ll come back.

Best chicken soft taco’s you’ll ever have. At just about a buck fifty each, super reasonably priced considering the fact that the tacos are huge. They home make the tortillas there and you can taste it, the chicken is always perfect and they sprinkle cheese on top which is melted by the time you open your taco to stuff it full of their delicious, roasted, complimentary green chile.

Whenever I am back in town, I love me some Taco Cabana! Their big fluffy homemade flour tortillas are a huge draw for me. My staple is the Eggs Mexicana. It comes with green chile, eggs, refried beans, cheese, and the world’s best BACON. Yes, the cheese is fake. But the«white trash» part of me kinda loves that. And for under $ 4, you can’t beat it. I’ve also tried the carne adovada, tacos, pancake breakfast, nachos… and not sure what else… But I’ve never been disappointed. They even have an outside little seating area so you can bring your dog if you want. One of the few places open 24-hours in ABQ and super yummy.

They make food just like my abuelita. Excellent enchiladas. Beans and rice are authentic northern Mexico style. Fresh made flour tortillas are the best. The Mexican music reminds me of old Mexico. Can’t beat the price.

I came to the drive thru to order some dinner. First of all the attendant over the speaker was not friendly at all. She seemed bothered when I tried to ask her questions about the menu and when I pulled up to the window she wasn’t any friendlier. Part of my order was chips and quest, in which I informed her that I wanted the large order. When I take my order she doesn’t even include the chips. When I go in to complain, I realize that she also over charged me by a dollar. When I explained this to the manager who was getting my chips, he basically said that«she said I didn’t want chips,» insinuating of course that I must be the one not telling the truth. He wasn’t any more friendly. If businesses are going to have rude employees, or bad service, than they have to face the consequences.

Love this place. A great alternative to Taco Bell or other fast food. Decent Mexican food. Affordable. Drive-thru open 24 hours. :)

A great place to get great food for a cheap price. They use real ingredients unlike most Hispanic food places. The only minus is that it may take a little longer, but everything is made fresh.

Love this place. It is quick, delicious and consistent. Barbacoa with boracho beans is one of my favorites. Along with the nachos, quesadillas, tacos, street tacos and salsas.

good food, very friendly and the prices were pretty good. Their burrito could use more filling, but the taste was good. The tacos were about 10X as good as the Bell’s and just a few cents more.

Poor management today. Everyone getting wrong order including myself, people complaining about their food, trash overflowing, so called fake margarita, very disorganized, asking what you ordered even after placing the order. Not recommended. Had to ask 3 times to get my drink order. Won’t be going back.

Taco Cabana is A-OK in my book, and the fact that the drive thru is open 24 hours is a big plus. I like their soft tacos, unlimited trips to the toppings bar [when dining in], and their«homemade» tortillas. Back in the day — I’m speaking of last millennium — my friends and I would stop here after the good ol’ Midnight Rodeo would close for the night. Now-a-days, I come here for a snack stop because you can order as much or as little as you’d like. I think the next time I dine in, I’ll try something on the menu I have never tried before. Hummmm… Look forward to the next picture that I post to Unilocal.Happy eating!

I was just looking for a tasty beef burrito and was surprised by the Barbacoa Burrito from this establishment. It was very good and while it took a little while even at 1:30pm to get through the drive thru I’d go back again. Disclaimer: I do not particularly care for New Mexican food, I prefer TexMex but this was still pretty good.

I was so excited to see Taco Cabana while I was vacationing in Albuquerque. As a former Texan, I have many fond memories of Taco Cabana! We stopped by for breakfast and Taco Cabana did not disappoint. I got vegetarian breakfast tacos and a drink(the flavored milky water … can’t recall the name). Breakfast was both yummy AND inexpensive. It was a great start to the day. I wish we had been able to spend more time in Albuquerque so I could go again for dinner.
