Terrene Hookah

Visited this place last week and was very pleasantly surprised! $ 10 for «bottemless smoke» lol thought that was cute and a smart idea. I’ve been to many hookah lounges and have never seen one with a flat fee. They do offer some upgrades; larger hookah or premium tobacco.
Casual, a little dark but all and all cozy and fun vibe.
They also have a nice size patio on the side with heat lamps.
The two guys working appeared to be the owners and they were both friendly and very speedy with the service. I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area!

As an out of town visitor and avid hookah smoker, I have to say that this is one of my favorite hookah lounges I have ever been to. There were reviews on Google and and Unilocal that made us very leery about trying Terrene. A couple of reviews in particular said it was very cliquish. We found quite the opposite to be true. Everyone there was very welcoming and were genuinely interested in talking with us. Another complaint I read was that Terrene played «rap music» way too loud. First off the music had the widest range in variety of any hookah bar I had been in. Second of all the music was at an excellent level. You could hear the music very clearly but didn’t have to yell over the music to talk to anyone.
The prices were amazing. Oklahoma (where I am from) has one of the highest tobacco taxes. Our shisha is at least 30% more expensive than it is in NM, so you can imagine our surprise when we found out it was only $ 10 PER PERSON for AS MANY BOWLS AND FLAVORS YOU CAN SMOKE! If you smoke half of a bowl and decide you want to try something new, just ask for a new bowl whenever you want.
I would have given this place 5 stars, but the service didn’t seem too quick. We ended up sitting with a group of regular customers and they would go get us whatever we wanted. I think if it weren’t for the regulars we were sitting with, it might have taken a while to get more coals or shisha.
I would recommend this place to anyone. It was a great relaxing experience and I will definitely be coming back any time I am in New Mexico.

This place would be a good time if the people there were not so cliquey and rude. It seems they all know each other and any outsiders are not welcome. They did not make me feel like they appreciated my business. Just close it down and make it a place you and your friends can hang out. Will not be returning.

Not bad — nice for a chance of pace from bars. But that being said, most of the patrons are teenagers and it can be kind of exhausting listening to them. Not a bad place, for 10 $ you can smoke as much as you want, as many different flavors or combinations as you want, which can cause headaches and nausea if you smoke too long and don’t stay hydrated — something I learned after my first time.

Went here tonight for the first time and it was really a good time. Only my second time trying hookah so I was a little nervous. My boyfriend and I were welcomed by very friendly staff and attended to well. $ 10 for unlimited flavors is unbelievable, apparently lots of others think so too. As the night wore on it got busier and busier, but the way it’s set up we didn’t feel crowded at all. I love the fact that you can hook into their jukebox app and play your own music too! It was very clean and I was surprised that the bathroom was virtually spotless. The staff was awesome in answering my rookie questions as well as giving some suggestions, I didn’t feel looked down upon at all. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a great place to hang out and smoke.

Love Terrene! I’ve stopped in a few times when in town and have never had a bad experience. Great price, cool atmosphere.

Very nice and clean place. It’s Monday evening, so only a few customers, which I like. The music is a great variety at an enjoyable volume, not just the latest gangster rap screaming. Good basic hookah for $ 10. Upgrades available. The guy working te shop is attentive and doing an excellent job. I will definitely visit again when in ABQ.

Great hookah bar to lounge with friends, get work done or relax and enjoy the awesome tunes. One of the few ABQ hookah bars that actually serve your hookah with natural coconut coals that won’t alter the taste of your shisha. Overall, great service and experience!

This has got to be the best hookah lounge in the UNM area! They took a cute old house and created a hip hangout. While some of the furnishings were a little unimpressive, there are a variety of little coves with comfy areas to smoke in — many illuminated by the fishtanks built into the walls!
We will definitely be back… again, and again!

I’ve only ever smoked hookah once, but it was a good experience.
There was a bit of a wait for a table and seat, so we smoked at the bar, but it was a very relaxed environment.
One of the owners, Milagro, who helped serve us, was extremely friendly and accommodating, trying out a lot of new blends for us.
We smoked for a couple hours, and for $ 10 a person for unlimited, that was not bad at all. The establishment was very, very clean. That impressed me quite a bit.
Furthermore, even though it’s a hookah lounge, apparently they keep it clean enough that there’s no real residual stink.
It was definitely a great hangout. There are specials, but I don’t remember the nights. A good place to kick back and relax with a few friends and have a chat.
