Worth driving to the odd location. They’ll make you a perfect espresso or pour over but also have great house drinks. Not your typical selection, some protein blended and cocktail style options. There’s always a few fresh house made baked good and they have always been good.

What can’t I say about this place. My husband is hooked on the coffees that this business imports. The knowledge the owner has is extensive. He will grind the coffee to your preference. Coffee is new to us. Brad explained that he wanted a coffee that did not require an electric machine if possible and that he did not want to mess with paper filters. He suggested a French Press. Then he explained what grind it has to be ground at for the French Press. Brad bought two different coffees from Trifecta and then a French Press. What a simple machine. No throw away filters and easy clean up. Brad is now hooked! We go in every few weeks for a new supply. He always has something new to try. Very customer friendly! I can speak for the baked goods. WOW!!! Always something different there to try as well. Moist and tasty. Great relaxing place to sit in quiet as well. #yelpabq

This is an amazing place. The guy that was running the show was very patient, knowledgeable and friendly while we were asking questions and making up our minds. The cold brew was amazing! We also got a coffee protein smoothie! I have never seen this anywhere before. It was a protein smoothie with banana and a couple other things with espresso shots. The scones were delicate, crumbly and delicious – a consistency I have never experienced with a scone but it was the best scone I have ever tasted. A magnificent place and one of the best coffee house visits I have experienced.

I love Trifecta Coffee! I go here mostly to by a pound of freshly roasted coffee beans. I always get the excellent customer service and have a great conversation. I love the different selection of coffee beans and that they are able to grind them to perfection. It’s a great local coffee shop!

This is our new favorite neighborhood coffee spot in the North Valley. It’s a little hard to find at first(it’s a small place located in a strip mall with a tiny sign), but once you’re there, it’s perfect. The atmostphere is modern and clean, and Thomas was very knowledgable about the roasting process. Each time we’ve visited, it’s been on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t rushed or crowded(yet). The coffee menu is unlike any I’ve ever experienced, with drinks containing lemon verbena and other unique flavor combinations. They also have a health-conscious menu selection, one of the choices containing egg white protein, cocoa powder, and, of course, coffee(no added sugar).

Trifecta is a really special coffee shop, and it deserves to be busier. They specialize in what you might call coffee cocktails, both hot and cold. My favorite has a mix of coffee, ice, protein powder, and vanilla. It’s simple, unsweetened, and perfect. Trifecta’s water filtration is ridiculous(in a good way), their pastries are delicious, fresh, and well curated(some homemade, some from NM Pie Company), and they sell a variety of whole beans as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! The coffee was amazing. Definitely a place to do work or read a book. There is not really too many places to sit so I wouldn’t recommend going there for client meetings but it might be worth that risk ;-) This is a must place if you like coffee done the right way.

I’ve been looking for a real coffee shop for a while. The owner was really nice –had a nice chat with him. The place is really casual, it’s a coffee bar with stools, and there are also small tables to sit down at near the entrance. They are working on coffee cocktail mixes. I tried the Iced coffee Verbeana(ver-bean-uh) — and it was delicious w/a hint of lemon to it. I’ll def keep coming back while I’m here in abq. Also, the owner roasts his own coffee

While I definitely welcome the onslaught of cafes that consistently up the game for caffeine in the Duke City, there are serious drawbacks, and they begin in my own kitchen. My trusty ol’ French Press, once my go-to for a decent cup, hasn’t been used in months. I also bought one of them fancy cold brew steepers a couple years ago, and I relied on it religiously. Now, just forget about it, it’s buried on a shelf. I cannot muster one sip of home brewed java anymore. Nope, not gonna happen. At the moment(again, this is momentary, someone is bound to step up to the plate and claim the throne soon), Trifecta owns the best pour in ABQ, in my humble opinion. Coffee is now a science, people, and the dudes running this shop, Tom and Lee, are definitely scientists. They’re innovators who bring modern technique to an ancient art, and the product is quite simply divine. Pimping themselves as Albuquerque’s first trifecta of cafes — roastery, coffee bar and bakery — you cannot go wrong with a cup, bean or bite around here. During a recent visit I downed a C & T: coffee and tonic with a spritz of lime. Tipping the glass, my nostrils were instantly punished with piss. Honestly, that’s precisely what it smelled like, urine. And then I drank it, and the universe expanded. Somehow, these guys crafted a cool, lively and subtle beverage that outright shamed iced coffee. The baked goods are better than great. The atmosphere is modern, relaxed and smart. And there’s this awesome buzz happening with the neighboring businesses, it’s a fun story, ask them to tell you about the«Just Work It Out!» option on the menu. (*Quick location note: the first time I visited I drove around for five minutes just trying to locate it. It’s directly west of Fat Tire, just park and then look. Better signage, y’all. You need better signage.)

I had to leave the house without making my own morning coffee, so I decided to Unilocal coffee places in Albuquerque to try out a new one, and I ended up heading to Trifecta. It was another case of the Unilocal community having my back ;) COFFEE I’m glad to have come here. My pourover(Sumatra) was tasty(and large, since you’re given the rest of the coffee from the pourover that won’t fit in a standard mug). The cold brew coffee that I took to go after spending quite a bit of time nursing my pourover and catching up on letter-writing wasn’t my cuppa, but that was probably just the particular beans/blend that I didn’t enjoy. I like the fact that the coffee is in fact cold brewed for 48 hours instead of merely being iced. AMBIANCE Personally, I enjoyed the laid-back ambiance of this place. Several regulars stopped by, which is always a good sign, and it was quiet-but-not-too-quiet. I like the sense of openness that the high ceilings give, so that, when busy, this place probably doesn’t feel too crowded. LEE Lee seems like a cool dude, willing to chat, but not obnoxiously social, which this self-proclaimed introvert appreciates very much. He seemed knowledgeable and passionate about sharing good coffee and good food. Unfortunately, I don’t live/work close to this area, so I probably won’t be in often, but I’m looking forward to going back when I get the change to try out the espresso drinks, cold drinks, and baked goods available.

Abq, Local, N.M. Shop and Staff The first thing I noticed as I walked in was how modern it looked. You get to see behind the counter, and how clean they keep the whole shop. Some nice looking benches to sit, and enjoy the unbelievable good tasting coffee. The man named Lee helped me, and he was so appreciative and respectful. I showed him my check-in offer, and he pointed out which drinks I could choose from. I had a bit of a problem finding the place, but I’m glad I didn’t give up trying to find the coffee shop. Drink and Experience The shaken not stirred coffee I got was great. The flavor was something I’ve never had before. It was the white mocha type coffee. I very much enjoyed talking with Lee, and people need to buy local. Stop buying Starsucks and Mic Donald’s coffee. Trifecta coffee has it in the name. They have a trifecta coffee recipe. Coffee beans, science, and love.

Thomas is a man with a plan, and some serious science to back his cup o’ joe. Great spot in the North Valley – belly up to the bar and get ready for some serious coffee talk. Check out the shiny brewing toys and enjoy some exceptionally well-crafted java! Headed home with bags of beans and the lingering taste of the exquisite iced Verbeana…

We stumbled upon this gem and stopped in for an afternoon pick me up. The shop itself is beautiful with an inviting atmosphere, plenty of seating and a view of the roaster. The service was great, they took the time to explain their roasting and brewing process and clearly shared a passion for their craft. I had an iced white cin, made with espresso, white chocolate and cinnamon, which was totally on point. They also have delicious looking fresh baked goods that I can’t wait to sample! Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

FINALLYREALCRAFTCOFFEEINBURQUE! From the super yummy house made pastry selections to the creative and inspired hot and chilled beverages Trifecta nails it. The roast & brews are always consistent in flavor. I think they even use a fancy water filter to make sure the coffee tastes proper. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and have been delighted. My personal favorite roast to take home is the Mexican. I like my coffee velvety and smooth. The pour over coffee is great too but the shining star is the growlers of cold brew. THATSRIGHTGROWLERSOFCOLDBREW! The owners are super friendly, provide wifi, just ask! There is a nice café atmosphere to sit and enjoy, always killer tunes, the space is open, bright and relaxed. Love it there!

If you haven’t visited this unique establishment, you are definitely missing out on some fine coffee. Tom & Lee presented Unilocalers with several different coffees of the world and delicious baked goods that matched well with the all the cuppings we sampled. So much information was imparted, I look forward to the next session. For more reviews on the event, check out: UYE: Know Your Beans. Thanks to Trifecta Coffee Company and all the Unilocalers who participated.

My first visit here was for a coffee event. We got to learn about roasting and beans and water and all sorts of coffee geek stuff from the owners. It was honestly a great hour and an a half, and when he said they might have a Coffee 102, to follow this 101 introduction, I made a mental note to be ready! I went back the very next morning to show a couple of friends the magic. We sat mesmerized in front of the coffee press, and interogated Lee about how much water, how much time, what temperature … it was fun. We each had a different coffee and all three were perfect. I usually lighten mine up with cream, but in this case I wanted to just taste the coffee. I loved it. And hey! They open on weekdays at 06:30! That’s gonna guarantee they see my sleepy face on its way to work some days. It’s hard to get a good early cup of joe around here. If you go in, be sure to chat the guys up. They love what they do and it is fun to hear them talk about it.

Hands down the best coffee bar and roaster in town. If you love coffee and appreciate the science of roasting this is your stop. Thomas is the master roaster and has the mind of a brilliant scientist. You know he has thought of everything on how to bring the best flavors to your favorite caffeinated drink. There is a passion in this coffee bar that is unprecedented. Don’t pass this place up and take some beans and re-mineralized water home for your own brew.
