I love metro’s! I have been going here for many years and Jay is a great guy! The slices are HUGE! You can use a slice to cover your face to avoid seeing your ex if he/she happens to walk in. Now i’m hungry.

I came here for a wedding dinner rehearsal and I tried a lot of pizza. I don’t know the difference between NJ pizza vs NY pizza but the crust wasn’t NY style. Well actually, the crust was similar to the NY dollar slices. The part with cheese and toppings was good though! You can’t go wrong with melted cheese and a few pieces of veggies on a thin crust! The staff was very friendly and kept popping out pizzas in a timely manner.

Really good pizza, and really cold beer! The perfect stop for that pizza fix.

Went for lunch on my lunch break, ordered within 3 mins of walking in the door. I ordered a venison pamigiana sandwich because it sounded good and I thought I could get it faster than other menu items. I was right about the sandwich being good but wrong about the timing. I spent my half hour lunch break drinking tea and waiting for my sandwich before leaving empty handed late for work. I watched from my table as my ticket was ignored and larger orders and orders of people that were made after mine where pushed ahead. Some of the people after me seemed to greet and know the owner/manager of the place, it could have had a bearing, I’m not sure. I finished my shift on an empty stomach and went back to get my sandwich after work since I had already paid for it. It was a good sandwich, just not 3 and a half hours later good.

I got sick of all the pizza places I’d come across in Blount county, leading me to look for something better. A quick Google search took me to metro pizza and how it was ranked so high. Hoping to not be disappointed and get my pizza fix, I ordered some zza. Hands down the best pizza place in Blount county. I can’t wait until my next visit to this gem.

I never knew about this restaurant, but after reading some awesome reviews about it, I decided to go check it out. Their pizza is amazing! The only other pizza place I like in Maryville is Barley’s and honestly I think Metro’s is better! The atmosphere of the place is definitely«hole-in-the-wall» but many great food places are. The man who I think is the owner is incredibly nice; the staff are friendly as well. After talking to them, I learned that all the food items here are made fresh. Nothing is frozen! I ordered the white pizza, which was delicious. The only thing I would change next time is to ask for extra garlic topping, because well… garlic is delicious. I think another good addition to the flavor might be fresh basil. Anyway, this is real pizza at this place. You don’t find that a lot in these parts. It’s definitely top notch for Blount County.

This place is in the same shopping center where the Wal-Mart is located. Definitely the best pizza I’ve found in Maryville/Alcoa area. I want to like this place so much more but I’m addicted to Gavinno’s in Knoxville. Sorry Metro, not the NY style I was looking for. This is more of a Jersey style pizza place. I’ve had the cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and the margherita pizza. Unfortunately all disappointed me. Maybe it was because people had built up expectations that were so high that they couldn’t be met. I hate it when people do that. One thing that I have really enjoyed here is the Cheesesteak. That is totally worth ordering again. I will continue to try other things here I’ve just unfortunately had disappointing experiences. With that said the people who work here are always very nice and friendly so that makes up for something, right? If you are in the area and hungry swing in here and try out the cheesesteak that is until I find something else I like here. Hope this helps! Cheers & Enjoy!

The only things I miss from the New York City area are the dinners and the pizza. Metro takes care of the pizza part of that. This is as close to NY pizza as I have found anywhere in the area(Knoxville included). Good size foldable slices and toppings that look like they should not like crap toppings the chain pizza places put on. Nice fast staff and a quick order turn around. Good job all around Metro Pizza! Now if only we had a real dinner around here.

Stopped in one night got a large cheese pie and baked ziti. Pizza is the best in Maryville/Alcoa area. Didn’t care too much for ziti, it had too much water, probably didn’t drain the noodles well enough, good flavor otherwise. Garlic bread was too plain, don’t know if there was even garlic. Service is better than most places around.

The food is great but the attitude ruins it for us. When the owner’s kids come in, they scream and yell and run around and you can’t hear yourself talk. Paying customers apparently don’t deserve consideration and respect.

By far, the best pizza in Blount County. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is great… the slices are huge and the prices are reasonable… love love love it!
