I LOVEIT! Traveled 6 hours from northern VA for a football tournament… what a GORGEOUS drive down 81! Man, I’m seriously contemplating a move. Anyway, the entire staff have been very sweet & helpful. I’m not good with names so I will edit this tomorrow… coffee downstairs is delicious. The free breakfast is so good. eggs taste super fresh, southern goodness biscuits & gravy were spot on. The waffle machine is pretty cool, and plenty of fresh fruit… and everything is super clean. Oh, there’s a lovely older woman tending solely to the dining area who is super nice to talk to. Eating at 6am this morning she shared stories & really appreciated my 7 year old sons heartfelt thank you for her hard work in preparing our meals. I really want to mention her, perhaps you can say hello when you visit… ill be back with her name ^_^. Oh, I’d totally give the QI a 5 star as is except the pool is outdoor vs indoor :(. Cleaning crew gave us a beautiful room again & we love the location. We’ve been traveling back & forth for the tournament and Alcoa is about 20 – 25 minutes from Knoxville which has great things to check out also. Definitely hit up the Worlds Fair Park and the Sunsphere. We stopped at Pups Pit BBQ which was pretty good. We will for sure stay here again!

For an economy hotel, this exceeded my expectations. The price was very affordable, it was clean, the staff was nice, and it’s a great location near the airport. The free hot breakfast in the morning was actually decent, not the instant egg taste that I’ve come to expect. I have enjoyed the in room decorations. There are two large– ish oil paints of some generic body of water, and then one small 5×7 afterthought frame by the sink with a motivational«teamwork» description.

My son and I booked a room here for a middle school event located at Maryville College. I must say this hotel is immaculate as well as fully staffed with courteous, gracious and helpful employees. I was completely and totally impressed. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

We have stayed here several times. It’s very nice to be able to park and use their free shuttle to the airport. however, this trip they tell us they now charging for parking??? Are you kidding me? Not staying here anymore.

I happened upon this place through Hotwire, so my review may be slightly biased by the excellent Hotwire rate. That being said, I have stayed at most of the hotels in the Maryville/Alcoa area, and this one rates near the top. The sign at the front desk indicated they had recently updated their rooms, and I found that to be true — fresh, clean, bright, and inviting. The rate includes a hearty breakfast that typically includes Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, Scrambled Eggs, Waffles, and other tasty foods. There is good, fast internet available, and they have printer in the front lobby that you can use. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room has a small refrigerator/freezer and microwave. There is no closet, and drawer space is minimal.

Recently my wife, parents, and I stayed at the Quality Inn located in Alcoa, TN. My parents and I had stayed there several years before, when it was still under the name of Jameson Inn. We absolutely loved it and were looking forward to staying there again while we were visiting my brother and his family. Since the last time we had been there, the hotel had switched from the Jameson Inn to the Quality Inn. The hotel staff assured us the name was the only thing that had changed; we would still receive the same level of care and service as on our first visit. With that in mind we booked our stay for nine days. Once we got there, we quickly learned that the physical building was the only thing which remained the same. We did NOT receive the same level of service as we had four years prior. We did not find a whole lot of «quality» during our stay. A more apt name change would have been the«Low-Quality Inn». * We asked for a non-smoking room, but got placed on a floor that was part non-smoking and part smoking. When we went up to our room to unpack, the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. It literally smelled like a Las Vegas casino. We asked to be moved to a completely non-smoking floor so my pregnant wife wouldn’t have to walk through the smoke every day, but the hotel desk clerk said there was nothing they could do. Since we had already gone up to the room and sat on the bed we had to stay in that room because the hotel wouldn’t be able to rent it out to anyone else. I am certain they could have re-cleaned the room and re-rented it sometime during our nine day stay. * On several occasions we had to ask for extra bath towels because we weren’t provided with the appropriate amount that should be standard in the room. Not only did we not receive towels, but we also had to call and ask for wash clothes, hand towels, and a bath mat. My parents had the same problem in their room. * Cleaning products were left in our room * The bed sheets were not changed when we requested it. We know this because my wife cut herself while shaving her legs in the shower. She noticed the cut when she sat down on the bed and saw blood on the sheets. The next morning we found that the blood was still there. * The hallway floors were constantly dirty and in need of vacuuming. In fact, we noticed that we kept seeing the same debris in exactly the same spots on the floor. Obviously, certain spots weren’t being vacuumed at all. There were signs up around the hotel saying that new paint and new carpet were supposed to be put in later in the week. We figured the hotel staff might not have been vacuuming very well because they were waiting for the new flooring to be installed. When we asked about it, we were told the remodeling had been done the week before, but the signs were still up. * One morning a hotel guest came down to breakfast wearing nothing more than a pair of shorts and carrying his dog under his arm. A hotel staff member stood right next to him while putting out food for the breakfast bar but said absolutely nothing. Another guest had to take it upon himself to ask the man to put on a shirt and keep his dog away from the food. * Another morning at breakfast, a man made himself some waffles with syrup. He dribbled syrup off his plate all the way from the breakfast bar back to his table. When someone asked a staff member to clean it up, she just brought out a dry towel and wiped it across the floor. She didn’t actually clean anything. All she did was smear the syrup around on the floor. A second staff member had to be notified about the problem. Fortunately she took care of the problem properly, mopping the floor and setting out wet floor signs. * We noticed the breakfast bar was sometimes supplied with a bagel slicer, and sometimes not. When we asked for the bagel slicer one morning the desk clerk told us they weren’t allowed to put it out for guests. On a separate morning we were told they did not even have a bagel slicer. * The food at the breakfast bar was inconsistent. Some days the biscuits were good, but some days they were so hard we just had to throw them away. Some days the gravy was absolutely delicious, but other days it was thin, runny, and bland. We never knew what food to expect when we came down to breakfast in the mornings. Sometimes there would be a full array of items, but other days we had to ask for just about everything we wanted to eat because all of the serving dishes and containers held nothing more than crumbs. As a matter of fact, one morning I watched a staff member set out additional cups, sugars, and creamers for coffee, but walk off and leave the coffee pot completely empty. It remained empty until another guest finally asked to have it refilled. Needless to say, we will NOT be enjoying another stay at the Quality Inn. Instead, we actually used part of our vacation time to go «hotel shopping» and find a new place to stay.
