Awesome little Italian place. I have gone here a few times and every time I have had a good meal. Don’t let the strip mall fool you. The service is always excellent. The dinner rolls are always my favorite part. Try the tiramisu. It’s to die for.

We ordered Cajun chicken with peppers pizza and rigatoni pasta. The food was bland, the crust of the pizza was doughy and was just full of cheese with no flavor. The pasta was just plain tomato sauce with no seasoning. I can tolerate bad food, but not bad service. The owner lady or the manager was terrible. We were not greeted, seated properly, ignored, was shown real cold attitude or no smile looking directly at us. The other waitress was decent and at least served us decently. I wasted 30 bucks for the bad food and for the worst shameful service I have experienced in recent times. Please save your money and stay away from this place.

We ordered delivery from here for the first time tonight. Very different, but in a good way! The Sicilian pizza was not greasy at all, which was great, because usually it can be. The outer pizza crust was sort of crunchy, in a toasted bread a like way, not in a burned way. It was unique and I enjoyed it. Bonus– we got these HUGE dinner rolls that were just… ahhhh, so good. Soft but not too doughy, a little sweet. Also our food was right on time on a Saturday night! If you want a not-greasy Sicilian, go for it :)

I really struggled with what to rate this place. The food, it is delicious. We are devotees of the California pasta. For a few years now we’ve done delivery from them and the quality of food has always been delicious, if occasionally overly oily. The bread is warm and delicious. The tiramasu is just like my Italian godmother used to make. Their food has been a part of many a romantic-ish night in for us over the years. We’ve gone only once to eat in the restaurant– the service was not good and we were the only people there on a prime dinner night. Not a fun dining experience, but there is always delivery! Or so I thought. Sometime in the last 6 months we’ve started having real trouble with food arriving in anything that resembles a timely manner. Now, it can take anywhere from an hour to two hours for delivery that they say will be 30 – 45. If you dare to call to ask on status they get cranky. The first few times I thought it was a fluke, but after many repaet issues I have to say– this is no fluke. Either they aren’t staffed for delivery(which apparently is a huge part of their business) or they just don’t give a darn. I love their food, but I’m afraid it’s time to break up. We will miss the warm bread goodness and carb laden yumminess. There are just too many good delivery places in this town to go hungry, waiting for your dinner for some unknowable length time.

Two stars for made to order, brick oven pizza. Although the staff is very friendly and attentive, I give zero stars for using prefrozen prebattered eggplants from a box. It is obvious. It is not quality standard. Seems the kitchen decided to cut corners in terms of freshness with dishes apart from pizza and it’s a disservice to the patrons who are dining out for dinner. Please change this. It’s bad for business.

The atmosphere was pleasant and thankfully Italian! They accommodated my need for soup that was extremely soft and it was amazing. The group I was with thoroughly enjoyed their salad and pizza as well as the stromboli. If I’m back in the area and craving Italian I will definitely hit this spot. It’s made to order and all the ingredients were fresh and fantastic.

Amazing specialty pizzas made in a wood oven! This is the only local place we go to get awesome gourmet pizzas. They also have delicious fresh bread and pasta is okay. However, we only get take-out. We refuse to eat there as the service is TERRIBLE! We’ve tried to dine in several times and each time the wait is exorbitant and the wait staff aren’t exactly helpful. So take-out it is and we are always happy with the pizza!

Thought the food was fantastic. We had the Edgardo pasta dish, pasta Parma with Italian sausage and sautéed spinach. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Only complaint is that delivery took a little long however the food was still hot so I got over the delay. Can’t wait to try another meal!

Mu husband and I use to use this as our go to Italian spot! Great food, consistent and yummy!!! However, one night, after waiting almost two hours for our food when they stated a delivery time was only 45 – 60 minutes(normal delivery time for them, so we were accustom to ordering long before we were hungry), our food showed up and it was horrible. Now, I like to think that EVERYONE deserves a second chance, but am also a firm believer that when things go this badly, attention needs to be called to it! After calling, and asking to speak to a manager, I was told there was no manager available, and them promptly hung up on! Thinking something must have gone wrong, I call back get the same person on the phone, and when I ask to speak to a manager again, I was told that they were«very busy» and asked in a huff«Can I help with something or not». When I tried to explain that my husband and I always order from them and this was a really long wait time and the food was horrible… I was hung up on again!!! We promptly deleted their number from our phones. Any organization that treats their customers like that deserves NONE of our money!

Edgardo… there’s a real Italian name. NOT. Stopped by this place while in the plaza shopping. As others have said, the oil was waaaay too much. Really killed the meal. Haven’t tried the pizza yet, but they also do «delivery only» using a different name(kinda shady), and have plastered the inside of my building with the papers. Maybe some day I’ll come leave business cards all over their place.

I went to to this place with my girlfriend and we were both thoroughly pleased with the experience. We started out with a few cold brews, and the server provided us some free bread(which was deliciously amazing!). We ordered the chicken and shrimp Cajun pasta and the goat cheese calzone. The pasta was kind of spicy, but it had a wonderful flavor that made it bearable. The calzone was one of the best I’ve ever had, which included a generous heaping of goat cheese and Italian deli meat. This place would have received a complete 5⁄5 had it not been for them being out of the brews I ordered. All in all, if you’re in the area, check out this place ASAP. It’s definitely worth it!

I was really surprised by all the good reviews here — until I realized the bad ones are being filtered by Unilocal. Anyway, I’ve gotten food from here a couple time and all I can say is – oil, oil, oil. Every main dish I’ve ordered from here has been drenched in it. Even the bread that comes with the pasta was greasy. The oil also does not taste like a high-quality olive oil. Flavorless and indistinguishable from any old vegetable oil. So here are the dishes I’ve tried: Tomato and Fresh Basil Pasta: The description says it has garlic and parmesan cheese in it – mine had neither. It was just linguine with LOTS of oil, basil(which was fresh), and some huge chunks of flavor-less tomatoes. I swear they didn’t even put salt on it. I had to pour some tomato sauce from my fridge and sprinkle salt on to make it edible. Fresh Vegetable Sauteed Salad: These vegetables were soaked in oil, with zero spices or salt for flavoring. The bed of lettuce they were poured on was limp and made inedible by all the oil. Homemade Vegetable Soup: The description says there are«10−12» fresh vegetables in this soup. There were carrots, zucchini, broccoli(a strange ingredient for an Italian soup, I thought), and spinach. Hardly 10 – 12 vegetables. The vegetables were also in huge chucks(yet there were few of them). There was also maybe a tablespoon of cannellini beans. By the description, I was expecting a chunky soup with a variety of beans. It was mostly a tomato soup that tasted like a diluted marinara sauce. It didn’t taste bad, but was nothing special. They also need to buy some soup containers for delivery. It came in a flat entrée container and ended up leaking through the lid all over everything. House Salad: Besides having too many onions, this was actually quite good. Vegetables are fresh and crisp. A bit pricey, though,($ 6.20) for what basically amounts to a large side salad. Bottom line: I appreciate that they use fresh vegetables — but the food is bland and drenched in oil.

My trip to Virginia/Washington with a foursome of co-workers ended with a dinner trip to Edgardgo’s. I can’t say enough good things about this place! Ambiance: When we arrived, there were ZERO customers in the restaurant & a tad skeptical given the empty parking lot. However, we were determined to enjoy the experience & try something new. The restaurant is in a strip mall, but we sat across from the wood-fire oven & was definitely a fun atmosphere. Service: Average, but certainly not horrible(nor great). Food: DELICIOUS! We decided to be adventerous & order some unique wood-fire pizzas. We ended up with a Basil Pesto/Tomato(a tad heavy on the oil, but very flavorful), White Clam(w/prosciutto — which was very, very good), and BBQ chicken w/pineapple(quite excellent, and about 900% better than the equivalent at California Pizza Kitchen!) Oh yeah, and you get these awesome rolls while you wait! Overall, I give this place high marks for really good pizza!

I ordered delivery from here tonight, and had their #20 pasta dish with grilled chicken added, and what pasta subbed. It was really, really good. The goat cheese was creamy and the amount they used was just right. I am extremely picky about chicken breast, and this one was lean, moist, chopped and cooked perfectly. The bread… oh my goodness… I had to stop myself by wrapping the rest and putting it away in the fridge. Yum, yum, yum! Also, they get points for their phone etiquette and vinaigrette dressing. They lose a star for delivery time. As others have said, they fib. 45 minutes does not equal an hour and fifteen. However, the food is way worth it, they offer healthy options, and they are nice. So, I will most definitely order from here again.

Excellent crust on the Sicilian pizza. Two slices and I’m stuffed. Of course, those warm round rolls right out of the oven we enjoyed while waiting for the pizza were so good they disappeared. Worth a trip across town, imho, for good pizza is too hard to find around here, which makes Edgardo’s special.

I just want to preface this by saying that I have only ever ordered ONE thing from here, I have not tried anything else, so this review is based on that one item. Spicy Cajun Chicken Pepper Pizza — Get it now.

We were looking for delivery last night, and boyfriend was craving a calzone. Thanks to MacRae’s endorsement of Edgardo’s, we decided to go ahead and try it out. First of all, the guy on the phone was super nice. Good first impression. He said delivery would be about 40 minutes, and they showed up in about 38. Boyfriend’s goat cheese calzone was, to use his words, «one of the best(and definitely the richest) calzones I’ve ever had; the goat cheese did it.» I had the Roman potato and sausage pizza. I was expecting an actual big pizza, but I was happy to see that it was not that big. Probably 10 inches, maybe a little bigger. And it was damn good. The seasoning on the potatoes and the flavor from the sausage seeped into the mix of cheeses to create a fantastic pizza. The crust was really good as well — just the right amount of it, and just the right texture. There is definitely room for Edgardo’s to move into the 5 star range, but I’ll wait til we’ve had it a few more times to make any adjustments. First impressions, though, were great.

Hmmm. I got two items from here after they slipped a menu under the door at the perfect moment when I was feeling lazy and in the mood for a huge Italian meal. Verdict: my pasta dish was pretty good, and my flatbread/pizza was pretty awful. Pasta: I got the Edgardo’s special pasta dish, which came with olive oil and garlic instead of sauce, and had chicken, mushrooms, carrots, and some other things. It was pretty good, but not my favorite pasta dish in the world. Though part of the reason might have been that it was lukewarm once it arrived and I was still in a lazy-enough mode that the thought of standing up, walking to the kitchen, reaching for a plate, dumping the food on the plate and heating it up was too overwhelming to even contemplate. I actually thought it was just OK that night, and then when I had heated leftovers the next night realized it was actually pretty good when hot. I would give it 4 stars. Flatbread/Pizza: I was super excited about this and therefore super disappointed when it didn’t turn out how I expected. I ordered a flatbread with mushrooms and rosemary and I believe, tomatoes. It sounded amazing in the menu and I was expecting a piece of bread with these ingredients piled on it like a bruschetta of some sort. It was actually a pizza, and it was really dry and hard and came with waaay too much cheese. I don’t remember seeing cheese on the menu, and would definitely not had ordered it had I known there would be PARMESAN cheese on it — BARF! That is my most hated cheese of all time. I tried to pick individual shreds of cheese off the pizza but it was glued on there pretty well and even when it looked clear, there was still a lingering taste of it that seemed to have saturated the bread. It was such a shame. I forced one piece in and then gave up. Would I order from here again? The whole order was slightly expensive — more than I would usually pay for delivery, and the food probably wasn’t worth that price. So no. But the pasta was pretty good and large so 3 stars it is.

The menu offerings at Edgardo’s have always looked enticing, but I never tried it until recently. I’ve ordered delivery and have eaten inside. Service is basically non-existent, as is décor and ambience. If they stepped it up a bit, it could be a cute, neighborhood-y place to dine. Pizza delivery was fast, but pizza was small and only OK. I liked the crust, but it could have used more cheese. When I dined-in, my friend and I both ordered baked pastas. I was expecting more of a casserole-type dish, but it was really just pasta tossed with vegetables, sauce, and cheese. I had the pasta California, which is rigatoni with marinara, artichokes, mozzarella, and sun-dried tomatoes. There were barely any vegetables, but it was fairly tasty. My friend had the chicken rigatoni, which was similar to mine, just with chicken instead of vegetables. We were charged for bread, though the menu states that bread comes with the meal. Neither meal was outstanding, but good enough to return if nearby and hungry, or if lazy and wanting something besides the standard delivery options.
