This is my favorite breakfast and lunch spot in the area. It is a family favorite and speciality. All the bagels are fresh and delicious! The sandwiches melt in your mouth with flavor and for being a bagel shop there is such a variety of items to choose from. My all time favorite is the sausage, egg, & cheese on everything bagel! I have been going here for the last 10 years and I have yet to find a place with a better sausage, egg, & cheese! My lunch favorites include hot dream, chicken gyro, & chicken salad on a bagel. Definitely give this small business a try!

This is one of my favorite bagel places in the area! The bagels are always fresh and delicious as well as the coffee which is freshly ground each day. The place itself is outdated but is always clean and tidy. I would recommend this to anyone in the Kingstowne/Springfield area looking for great bagels that aren’t from a chain restaurant.

A lovely couple runs this place and the bagels are delicious. I enjoy getting breakfast at a place like this, locally owned and affordably priced.

I LIVED off this small bagel shop my whole senior year. Not because it’s close to my area, but for the food. It’s run by a very cute couple and all I can say about them is that they are honest about their food and how they serve it. The food is overall delicious. They have a variety of options of what you can put in a bagel which is what I go for. You like bagels and sandwiches? If yes, Then this place will be your next favorite breakfast stop.

I come here all the time for a warm, quick fix. I appreciate the versatility of the atmosphere. Hot Bagel has become my well appreciated establishment with good service and bagels. luv the smoked salmon, onion, and cream cheese on poppyseed

Solid bagel sandwiches, great for a quick breakfast. I stop in one a week for the past several months. While I’m not pumped they’re closed on Sundays, I do not understand the zero or one star reviews based on this criteria.

Very good price for breakfast sandwich, bagels, and platter. I wish they would server omelets though.

Run down atmosphere serving run of the mill bagels and below average deli fare at inflated prices. Nothing to see here, keep moving.

I’ve lived in Kingstowne for a while and decided to pop in one morning. I think it was definitely after the high school rush as there was little selection left. I had an egg and bacon on jalapeño and it was not that great… the egg and bacon was very dry and even though I try to stay away from condiments I had to douse it with ketchup to get it down(I even added tomato and lettuce, both of which were not the best either). However, I still give this place 4 stars because the bagels are made fresh and I actually took away a bag of 6 bagels that were made the day before for $ 2 and I’m eating a blueberry one with cream cheese right now(delicious). I will def go back to get just a bagel and cream cheese and a coffee or to see if I can wrangle another bargain bag. It’s not a swanky place and the owners are very quiet, I suspect they are probably attending church and taking much needed time off on Sunday, but all in all, it’s nice little hole in the bagel wall.

A decent place to eat. The bagels were OK, they were fresh, I guess this is all that counts? If you are health-conscious I suggest skipping this place. You can get a standard bagel with cream cheese, but if you are looking for something else, like a bagel with hummus you will be disappointed. I ordered a bagel with ham and egg, and the ham was awful. It was obviously the cheapest kind, and it tasted like it. The owners were an older Korean couple. They were nice but did not say much, mostly due to a language barrier. The place is small, it definitely had seen better times. I think they stay in business because they are next to a high school. During our 30 min breakfast we have seen a lot of high school students coming to have a breakfast. RECOMMEND: Take out bagels; bagels with cream cheese. DONOTRECOMMEND: Having a family breakfast there.

Best bagels around, hands down. They are always fresh and taste delicious. I used to come here for breakfast everyday when I went to high school. Now I try to come at least a few times a month. I’ve had NYC bagels before, and these are quite on par. Very nice owners, it is family run. Who cares if they aren’t open on Sundays. Just go during the other 6 days they are open.

I’m not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. I lived in NYC for three years and ate the best bagels in the world four times a week. I have been going to Hot Bagels for a few years and it is consistently amazing. These are the best bagels I have found in the entire D.C. area. The owner and his staff don’t say much and are strangely expressionless but they crank out the goods. Whenever I have some New Yorkers visit, I pick up a dozen. They are always happy.

Seriously, where are all the bagel places in this area? We made the 15 minute drive to my old high school, just to satisfy a bagel craving in the southeastern quadrant of the county. This place is small, and the interior is hard to see from the outside due to the signs posted all over the windows. We came just before lunch and it seemed as though the owner was the only one working. He took our order and then went into the back kitchen. Menu selection is surprisingly limited for a sandwich/bagel shop. The basics are certainly there, but the sandwich section could use a little creativity. Not sure if they prepare their own bagels, but the selection behind the counter was pretty slim pickins as well. The bagels are actually quite good here. Sandwich sizes are okay, but could use a few extra centimeters height-wise. Nothing amazing, but it seems as though this is the best bagel spot in the near vicinity. They also do accept credit cards(less AMEX), contrary to a previous reviewer’s experience.

I’m giving this 5 stars for two reasons. The first is their bacon egg & cheese bagel. It’s one of the best I’ve found in nova and always tastes fresh and fantastic. The second is that to this day, when I go in the owners recognize me and ask how things have been. I used to go almost every morning my senior year of high school and then moved away to school. When I came back on breaks I naturally had to get my hot bagel fix. They have tons of drink selections and the bagels taste great. The only downside is that it’s cash only but in my opinion it’s worth it. They also have great sandwiches for lunch, too.

The bagels range from average to below average. They are stale, but they do have a nice variety of spreads and fillings. It’s also pretty cheap.

Not a fan… I went for a bagel and cream cheese one morning… they didn’t have a huge selection. I’m sure the bagels are baked fresh every day, but they sure could have fooled me. I think it would have been better to just go to Safeway and get a mass produced bagel in the bread aisle! At least there is a Subway and a McDonalds in the same shopping center that you can go to for breakfast and you would probably leave those places feeling more satisfied.

Not bad for sure, I must echo the previous review and comment on the drink selection, certainly a good # of beverages. The bagel was quite good too, not the best I’ve ever had, but certainly suitable for a quick bite on the way to work.
