I looked up on line for a Laptop Backpack that was TSA SmartScan approved. When I arrived, the first clerk told me they did not carry such items, and I «MUST» be mistaken. When I said I had seen it online, he reiterated, I «must» have looked on the «Sears & Marketplace» site. He then a decided to disprove me, and the inventory computer showed at 1 item was in stock… «If we have any… They would be somewhere over there… » And pointed to the other side of the store… Off I went… after 10 minutes of looking… I found 10 of them on a rack… Much more expensive than other stores, but it was in stock, and I can not wait 2 week for shipping… So I got it… The second Clerk was great… On the way out, I saw the first, and told him that the computer was right… That there were 10 more on the rack… Had it not been for the second clerk… This would have been a 1… Very disappointing…

NEVER buy an appliance from Sears. I bought a Kenmore dishwasher from Sears and bought the extended warranty. The control panel went bad causing the dishwasher to be completely dead. They replaced it. It went dead again. They replaced it again. It went dead again six weeks later. This time I insisted on a new dishwasher and they said «NO». It has to be serviced four times to qualify for a new dishwasher. And then it takes a whole long complicated verification process lasting up to four weeks. Seriously. I will never set foot in another Sears and you shouldn’t either.

I don’t even know where to begin, but since my comments echo pretty much everyone else’s, I will keep it brief:
I needed to make a Land’s End return, and this was the time and place. After walking through the scary/​empty Mall, the door was locked at 12:10 PM (even though they open at 11 AM) and someone was on the phone calling inside to ask if we could come in?
Problem #1: when the employees just inside the locked gate don’t notice for over an hour that the gate is closed, what do they even think about?
Problem #2: It took 14 minutes to make a return. Not an exchange, nothing crazy involving 18 items that I purchased in 2003 and couldn’t find the receipts, just a return with my receipt in hand. Rani/​Rami needed help and had all sorts of questions, all the while I was asking myself why I didn’t just give the box to the UPS man (esp. since Land’s End had shipped the wrong color, so return shipping would have been free).
Moral of the story: Do not go to Sears to return anything unless you have a lot of time and patience.

only for their lands end merchandise. I love how I can order my lands end products and return them no questions asked at sears. granted, landmark mall is deserted and sears is pretty run down, I’m super impressed with lands end clothing and backpacks. it’s a higher end version of sears and the clothes from le is seriously nice! also, the young man working the register at the le section was extremely nice and courteous.

Horrible service! This is such a bad company that does not understand the importance of customer service. The older lady who works the counter was not helpful and incompetent. Even thought she had my driver’s license in hand she still entered my name in incorrectly!
I sent my LG portable AC unit in for repair because it was leaking water through one of its wheels, 2 weeks later I get the call it’s ready for pick up but that they couldn’t fix it. When I went to the store to pick it up I asked the same lady why it couldn’t be fixed and she said she didn’t know, I needed to call the 1 – 888 number on my receipt. I also noticed my water tank for the unit was now missing its cover, which was a simple black screw head, again I went to the lady and she checked the box it was sent back in but said nothing was there and waived me off saying I need to call the 1 – 888 number,…
I called this 1 – 888 number and spoke with a guy who ffinally corrected my information to the right name and said he was filing a claim on my behalf for the missing piece so it could be researched. He told me I should receive a call in 24−48hrs… 2 weeks later NO ONE called back! I called the 1 – 888 number again to file a complaint and the girl I spoke with said the prior agent had never filed a claim! No wonder no one called… She said someone would contact me in 24−48hrs, which they did. His name was Lester from their claims department and he said he couldn’t help me without pictures of the price in question, I sent the pictures the next morning and almost a week has gone by without a call or email back. I called today and spoke with Toni a female manager and all she could say was she sent a follow up email to find out what’s going on with my claim! And again I have to wait 24−48hrs. Doesn’t anyone know how the he’ll to do their job?! This is a simple issue that’s been going on for a month! This could have been fixed so easily and instead it’s a cluster of crap! I will never shop at Sears again I highly recommend going elsewhere for all your needs this is a crappy business that should have gone out of business years ago!

I have no interest in spending more time than I have to writing this.
Basically sales person told me delivery on the date I requested would be no problem to get a sale. When I found out she screwed me and scheduled it for a day I wasn’t available I canceled the order. I like sears and their products but will never visit this location again.

There was a time when the Sears name meant great service and good quality. Those days are long gone. For years I’ve been hoping that they would come back but it just keeps getting worse. This last experience is my final try with Sears, I am done with them forever.
About a year and a half ago we bought a washing machine from Sears. Within the first 6 months the washer was not working. The service guys took 3 trips to actually replace the electronics that were the cause of the problem. OK fair enough, the machine should not break down after 6 months but it was under warranty and they finally got it fixed for no charge. However, it took a week or two to resolve the problem and during that time no washer.
Three days ago the machine, again is not working properly so we called Sears and were told that it will be 6 weeks before they can get a service guy out here. Really? 6 weeks? Are you kidding?
HEY SEARS IF YOU EVER READ YOUR REVIEWS — NOBODY WAITS 6 WEEKS FOR SERVICE!!! YOU CAN BUILD A HOUSE IN THAT AMOUNT OF TIME !!!
But, of course, nobody at Sears reads these reviews, that’s part of their problem. They just don’t give a _​_​_​_​_​.

Don’t even WALK by the appliance department they’re VULTURES here, you can’t have enough space or air or 2 seconds to walk by and look at anything before 10 people are up your bum and even when you tell them you don’t need any help they keep at it very aggressively. They JUMP out at you from behind appliances, their behavior is not normal at all. They are literally SCARING sales away!!! It’s much too much. In all my years I’ve never seen anything like this before. Way to scare people away to other stores where they won’t be harassed as they shop.

I wish I could give negative stars for this SEARS location. The Customer Service in the Appliance Dept is a joke and unbelievably poor beyond belief. I called for a service repair on a fridge that I purchased there. The Repair Dept gave me a day and time (2 day wait). No one showed up or even took the time to call. I wasted the whole day waiting. I called Sears back and (believe it or not) they said that no one could come out for 2 weeks. I asked why I was originally given a 2-​day wait time. I was then told that the Repair Dept does not have the «repair schedule» as they assign repairs. Are you kidding? This is a stupid place. I would be out of my mind to buy an appliance or to order a repair from this SEARS location. PS Once we bought a dishwasher here. The frame was bent when delivered. The 2^nd one did not work. This SEARS at Landmark Mall gives SEARS a very bad name.

If I could give fewer stars I would. I ordered a kenmore washer and dryer and a mattress online with the help of an agent on December 16.
When delivery time came (on December 22) they forgot the mattress entirely and said they could not install the machines because I needed a warehouse installed right vent kit that I was instructed to purchase in store. I went to this location and the friendly but incompetent staff took over an hour to «work» on this issue. When I got on the phone finally, I got it resolved in another 15 minutes.
The second delivery attempt was on December 24. This time they remembered the mattress. I was told, however, that the machines would not fit… first team said they would… so the delivery team suggested I should cancel my order which they said they did (I never actually saw the machines I purchased because the were never offloaded from the truck).
BUT I called to check and the order had not been cancelled. When I finally did get it canceled (three business days), I was told I would get my refund — for merchandise that was not delivered — in 7 – 10 business days. And everyone stuck to the party line. And for some reason, Sears thinks it’s acceptable to offer shoddy service AND hold a customer’s money hostage for nearly two weeks (since business days exclude holidays and weekends and I canceled on December 24).
My advice– find another retailer who values customer service. And I’m reporting these jokers to the BBB.

here is a quick anecdote. i’ll try to just be objective and u can decide
i order a dishwasher online to deliver to landmark sears. few days later i get an email saying the item has arrived but the required kit was canceled because the store does not have it. hmm, so the entire 200 lb dishwasher was shipped but a 20oz bag with a hose could not be shipped? whatever. so i call c.s. and they say call the store. fine
i call the store, get routed to «merch pickup», wait for someone to pick up and after 4 minutes it just disconnects. mmkay. so i call back and ask for c.s. The lady is nice enough, i explain my situation, and they pull up my order. cool. we discuss, she understands, looks up the part, its not in stock. okay. what do i do? she says i need to talk to so-​and-​so, and routes the call.
when the guy picks up he says may i help u? like oh god, he has no idea what the story is. thanks, lady. so i say «oh, she didn’t explain anything?». he just hands the phone to some manager (i guess) and after explaining my situation from scratch she tells me «oh we don’t have that part» I’m thinking: oh well no shoo shoo sherlock! i tell her i’d like to see if i can get the part from another store or something. next question out of her mouth: «is the dishwasher arrived yet?» OMG. are you serious?! «uh, yeah, it is at your store right now» i say. «ok, well we do not have the part here at the store.»
this is a joke, right? i’m getting punk’d?

smart a**, i’m thinking. i gave her my info, but also told her what she obviously cared little to know, which was MY LOCATION so that she could pick a store that is convenient for me. unbelievable
thanks a lot, landmark sears. hope corporate reads these horrible reviews and realizes that if they skimp on staffing, training, pay, etc they will get HORRIBLE customer satisfaction

Recently, my partner and I bought a new dishwasher from Sears. We were promised a dlivery within the next week. Of course, Sears farmed out the delivery to a third-​party installer. We have been told over the past 2 weeks that the appliance was first back-​ordered, then, the deliver date kept getting moved. Now, the installed says they will deliver tonight between 5 PM and 9 PM! Who delivers an appliance and installs on a Friday night? I think this is the last time we will go to Sears for an appliance. The only reason we went to Sears is because Home Depot did not have many options.

I don’t like this location. All the salesman just stabs in a group then they big the heel or of you when you tell them just looking. You ask them for help and tell them what you need Abs they continue to be annoying. Never any great deals. No military discounts. You can get things cheaper online or at the home depot or lowes.

Agree with Ryan B — customer service at this location needs attention. Went in to get a pre-​authorized product replacement. Staff was not well informed of policies, would not match
pricing for credit, and generally were flippant about the situation. Store manager implied that he would be doing me a favor by taking care of the request. Accepting money from me is never a favor on a store’s part. I will take my business elsewhere. (PS. Subsequent call to the service agreement folks was very polite, helpful, and honored the
price. They were shocked that the store was not able to handle this.)

Overall, this is your typical Sears. They have a good sized Lands End department, which is possibly the only reason why you’d want to shop here. The Lands End staff were pretty friendly and helpful and even worked their magic to help me get 10% off my purchase (it involved about 100 keystrokes on the computer but I’m not complaining). It’s located in the Landmark Mall which has seen better days. The store itself could use with a remodel, and the doors to the dressing rooms had broken locks.

I work in customer service I know what good customer service should be like. There’s guys. Are disrespectful rude and not willing to work problems out

Hit or miss but we’re a fan. We bought our new Kenmore Grill here. The first time we went in the person wasn’t very knowledgeable but was very nice. The second time we went in and this time with consumer reports reviews in hand the person was pretty helpful and was very nice. He even helped us buy a grill cover. The third time we went in was to replace the grill cover which blew away because it wasn’t secured and we were happy to have our same sales person who recognized us. We also bought some casual clothes for my husband.
Be advised Sears is switching over to an IPhone app so check out just doesn’t seem to go fast given all the information that is collected.
Lots of parking which makes it easy to get in and out.

Just came here to bide some time so I decided to look for some Christmas presents for some kids that I buy for each year.
CLOTHES FOR PRESENTS/​SHOPPING
They have a great selection of Carters for kids and its sometimes cheaper than the outlet. In addition their character shirts, sets pajamas is awesome for: Hello Kitty, Superman, Spiderman, Elmo, Minions etc. Anyone wanting to dress like the Kardashians, they have their collection here and it seems like a lot of it was on sale. This visit I picked out an Elmo outfit and a Minion shirt.
SEARS CLUB
You can sign up for their Sears club and get coupons automatically from the register, but you must be willing to give up your address and phone number to do so. Anyway, I signed up, coupons came out on the register as I checked out and I’ll be using these on my next visit.
OVERALL
Back in August, I had a wedding to attend and didn’t have time to go anywhere but here because I wasn’t happy with my choices at home. I was able to pick out a simple black dress with some ruffles for $ 35 and my friends complemented me on it. So, not a bad place when you need something quick, inexpensive and convenient to shop and its never crowded.

My husband and I bought a microwave and paid the extra 200 to have it installed. It took 5 appts for them to actually show up at the time they specified (1 no show, and 4 times they called the night before with a different time we couldn’t do). It broke the following week. It then took 2 appts to get a technician to look at it and order a part (the first time they said the part was on backorder). It has now taken 3 appts to get them to install the part. Once where they couldnt find the appt, hung up on us, and then rescheduled us for a day that didn’t work. We plan to never purchase anything from sears that requires an installation ever again. This has been a horrible awful time consuming experience.

The worst! If you buy something online make sure you read the return policy for
because they won’t return it for you in the store! Apparently when you buy from
they are the middleman! Such a waste of time!!! That’s what the employees at this location told me. I had to go to another sears to find someone to help me. In the end I was able to return the item.
