Verizon Authorized Retailer – Wireless Zone

I thought the guy behind the counter was just going to tell me to F off that he didn’t feel like working today (Veterans Day) So I decided that this store didn’t need my business. I guess they are all famous rock stars that don’t need to work for a living. So I guess I’ll go to the one over on rt 1. Maybe they will want my money

Verizon Wireless is the worst company I’ve ever worked with. After 14 years of loyalty, they have done nothing to assist me with my third broken iPhone 6 plus screen. I paid $ 200 to get a replacement phone after mine broke yesterday and today it literally fell on the soft carpet while charging and Verizon’s insurance company wants me to pay another $ 200 to replace a broken phone that wasn’t even activated yet. This is the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever know in my life. Asurion is the worst insurance company I’ve ever worked with. I recommend leaving Verizon immediately before you are in a situation where you have to replace your phone 3 times in one week for falling on carpet.

This location is very convenient to my home. I expected it to be the same thing as a regular Verizon store, but it is not. I went to go get a sim card for my phone, which is free from Verizon. They wanted to charge me $ 25. This was after waiting twenty minutes to be helped. Will not be returning.

I have been a Verizon customer since 2004. Recently, I experienced the best customer service I have ever had at the Verizon Alexandria, Virginia store.
I became a Verizon customer in 2004, when I lived in the Midwest. Since then, I have moved a number of times and have been to a number of stores– to have phones replaced and phone numbers changed. I lived in California, Pennsylvania, and Boston, MA. Needless to say I have been to a number of stores. Usually, in my experience, Verizon customer service is mediocre if not poor at best.
So, I was a bit skeptical and concerned when I was on a recent business trip in June 2013. My Android phone completely died. I had known for a while that the battery was dying and that it was just a matter of time until it would need to be replaced. However, the phone completely died during the worst possible time– during a business conference at the Gaylord conference center in National Harbor, MD. While at the conference, I frantically called the nearest Verizon store– which happened to be the store in Alexandria.
I left a voice message explaining that I needed my phone replaced (to an iPhone) and asked if they had any in stock. I left my contact information and the woman promptly returned my message when the store opened.
I had to pay about $ 20 – 30 to take the taxi to from the conference center to the Verizon store a couple miles away, but it was money well worth it. Customer service was top notch. I went into the store mid-​afternoon on a weekday.
The manager (a blonde, middle aged woman I believe) had my phone set aside and the was waiting to help me transfer my information from my old phone to my new phone. Unfortunately, since my old phone would not even turn on, she was not able to convert all of my information easily onto my new iPhone. She explained however the process I would need to do on my own when I got home. She explained the process well and I left assured I could figure it out. I thnk the entire process from walking in the store to leaving was 15 minutes maximum. This included them adding a phone protector case to my phone. I could not believe the ease of it all.
The store was also clean, organized, and nice.
I know customers tend to vouch for our negative customer service experiences. They are helpful, but I also think it’s good to know about where good customer service can be found. This store is one such place.
If I’m lucky, the next time I have phone issues, I hope to be within a short taxi ride from this Alexandria store. Keep it up!

I have never been to such a helpful Verizon Wireless store, and I have been to many. I visited this store on a weekday evening with a problem with my IPhone service and they were friendly, concerned and knowledgable, even though this was my first time in the store. The owners seem to be all about customer service. Javon H knew exactly what to do to fix my phone issue and displayed patience and skill in his work, again not something I have found at other Verizon stores. I would recommend this location if you want real customer service in a friendly atmosphere.

This would be 3.5 stars from me because of the staff’s friendliness. The staff here starts the hard sell immediately on your arrival and continues throughout your visit, even when you purchase something. While the hard sell started far too quickly for my taste and continued for too long [almost like with telemarketers, you need to say no three times. .. although I think I went well beyond three times and the hard sell continued], somehow the staff here pulls it off in a friendly, neighborhood way. It’s very strange, but I had to appreciate the seemingly genuine warmth they showed while trying to pry my money free; other places do the hard sell without the genuine warmth and I refuse to return to those. If the friendliness remains a characteristic here, this’ll be my go-​to store whenever I need one.
Like most new (and old?) Verizon stores now, this is a wide open space with a few small display stands around the store. [I’d suggest that Verizon should start pairing with another company that doesn’t need significant space either, in order to make better use of these stores’ size, but that’s just a tangent.] This particular store still has it’s new-​store smell — it was almost as if they’d just cut the lumber for the floorboards. Ahhhh…

If the TV show «Cheers» took place in a phone store, this is where they would film it. I visited this new Verizon Wireless location when I decided to trade in my old Blackberry for a new smart phone. I was greeted warmly and got immediate assistance. Jan helped me choose the phone that would best suit my needs and guided me through the process of transferring my data to the new device. She even steered me to a great selection of phone cases and helped me choose one I now love. Javon helped set up my new phone and was an expert at answering my technical questions. The store also has a beautiful interior — gorgeous wood floors and inviting atmosphere, unlike the warehousey feel I’ve experienced in some locations. Great to have this new Verizon location in Old Town!
