I washed my hair before coming. When entered, the hairstylist and the hair washer pushed me to have my hair washed again. There r so many guys there that I would be embarrassed if I said no. the problem is the hairstylist dried my hair immediately after the wash. Then started to do my hair. It cost $ 18 +$ 3tip for my to get my 2cm-long hair cut. This is the last time to go there. Very bad experience.

I love this place. Both the stylists and the customers(men and women) who come here all have good looking hairstyles, which is one way to measure a salon as a new person. It is a fine looking group of people here. And you do get a top quality haircut and color for a fraction of the price of a Beverly Hills salon. Only $ 90 gets you a very nice cut and color. That is all I need which is why I am now a new regular customer. Note: cash only.

Found my new go-to haircut spot! Located on Valley in the city of Alhambra. The salon is right across from Lollicup. The staff here are nice and attentive to every request(I’m very picky with my haircuts) needless to say they did my hair perfectly and I have no complaints. The only opportunity this place has is cleanliness. The chair that they sat me in still had hair from the previous person on it and I had to ask them to blow dry the hair off the seat. There was also hair all over the floor where I sat and pretty much hair everywhere in the salon, apparently no one sweeps here. Great prices, $ 12 for a men’s haircut and $ 18 for a men’s haircut with shampoo. Overall a nice visit, I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I would recommend!

Most of them cut well until a new guy cut my hair since another guy decided to take a break. Ok whatever, I gave it a try And omg, it resulted in patches. I went back asking them to fix it. Instead of admitting their fault, they blamed my head being bumpy?! Yes I know my head is not perfectly shaped but there r ways to work around it like many hairdressers have done so. They fixed it, however, Don’t think will go back again cuz their bad attitude. To the owner, Please, Don’t hire someone if they aren’t even experienced with cutting a simple, man’s short haircut.

Got a cut from Paul which lasted for about 40 min and costed around $ 20. He does great layers and knows how to match a style according to your face. They also dye hair which costs around $ 70. If you speak Chinese definitely speak it cause you’ll get better service!

Used to the duke of this place. Decent haircut but this time I’m annoyed. I came in and they did not acknowledge me which is fine as long as they know I’m here. They al saw me walk in. Two guys come in after me and they got their hair cut before me. So I waited over one hour with no complaining. Finally I got fed up and left. Found a cheaper place that give great head shampoo massage Piss me off they make me wait over one hour and not even check in with me and let me know what’s up. I’m a regular here so my review should not be a fluke. I don’t expect good customer service because they are Chinese but letting two guys cut in front of me piss me off. If they had appointment which is unlikely they could have mention that to me

This was actually my first time coming to A One Salon and I can honestly say I am very pleased and surprised by their awesome work. I had a lovely gentleman name Eric who was so patient with me, very calm and super sweet too lol. Even though there is a bit of a language barrier between us, it was still by far one of the best salon I had ever experience. Eric helped ombré my hair from an old dark brown and faded blonde tips to a luscious light brown and beautiful golden blonde. It was such a long session(6 hours to be precise) but Eric stayed way passed closing time just to work with me and help obtain the color I was looking for. Thank you Eric you’re the best! :)

A friend recommended Paul to cut my hair. I gave him a try and it was the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. They only charge 10 bucks and don’t expect a lot of tip. The only drawback is the language barrier but he understands everything you ask for. If you are in the area and need a $ 60 haircut for $ 10, I highly recommend stopping by this salon.

After reading the Unilocal reviews, I decided to give this place a shot seeing as how I just needed to get my hair trimmed, not completely restyled. First of all, this place is CASHONLY! So be prepared. Second of all, they’re actually really great! I walked in around noon on a Saturday and was greeted and helped immediately. I didn’t catch the guy’s name, but his chair is immediately to the left when you walk in. He was so great! Downside: he doesn’t seem to speak English so don’t expect to chop it up unless you speak the language. He washed and rinsed my hair and it was basically an amazing massage for a solid 15 mins. Let me tell you, I did NOT mind lol He then proceeded to trim my hair and it was fast, efficient and I felt totally at ease with him. I normally freak when people I don’t know touch my hair, but I felt fine with this guy. I don’t know what it’d be like if you want a totally new hairstyle, but my experience with a trim and layers was great. I was charged $ 25 for the whole shebang. You can’t beat that price! I’ll def be coming back.

Came in for a simple trim. I asked to keep the length yet get rid of all the split ends. The stylist spend a lot of time on each section to make sure that he got most of the split ends. My hair came out very smooth without losing much length. I am very satisfied with the results! Highly recommend!

Good service for a good price. Great place for MEN but not so great for women. Some hairstylist do not know how to style hair for females. Be honest guys, hand the female clients to the right stylist not to the stylist waiting in CUE for his turn.

Yah! I’m a fan of this salon I’ve already been back twice for a cut and my sister also loved her hair cut too. I actually stumbled upon this location because I wanted Boba next door and while walking past this salon I noticed it wasn’t busy and the price was only $ 18 for a cut so I decided to just give it a shot, what did I have to loose? Except save some $$$ — my haircuts usually cost me $ 55 before tips(cut/wash at other salons) but I didn’t want to waste that much money any more. So while sitting there getting my hair cut the whole time I was thinking what a big mistake I’ve made, he didn’t even ask me what I really wanted in a cut, why did I come here, no Tip, no tip, no Tip! but once I believe his name was Ken finished my hair style I realized man he did such a great job, the style totally fit my face frame and just gave me a better hair style in general. So 2nd time I went back but this time I got another guy, it wasn’t Ken or Jay but same thing I thought I was going to regret coming back because this time I didn’t get Ken I got someone totally new and again same feelings came back, I was thinking the worst again, except again my hair came out beautiful. To me I believe they are great at what they do, they don’t just cut your hair to what you want but they actually style it and make sure it fits your face frame. I only spoke to them in English even though I can speak mandarin but it was fine they can somewhat speak english, enough to get your hair styled. Prices are great but I wish they would spruce up the salon to make it look more luxurious.

Came to this relatively new hair salon to get my haircut with my dad while I was back home. Although it was a predominantly Chinese Speaking place(Mandarin and Cantonese) they had someone working who could help me translate what kind of haircut I wanted. The haircut for men is $ 10+tip, and I have to say it was a pretty solid, no-fuss haircut, especially because I couldn’t communicate with the guy. Regardless, it was a great cut, if you know what you want, especially if you have asian hair, they will probably know how to take care of you and will do it quickly. The cut was professional yet quick, and we got in and out in 30 – 40 minutes for 2 haircuts on a Sunday as walk-ins. Impressed with their speed and a good cheap/quick haircut joint!

My whole family comes here for hair cuts. Their price is cheap and same result when I went to another salon that cost $ 50 for a haircut. Ken color and cut my hair for $ 60 only. I referred my friend and she loves it too. BTW, if you cut your hair only, it is $ 15 for women and $ 8 for men. I will come back for sure. I am glad I found this salon on Unilocal when I come to eat across the street.

This shop was opened up by a couple of workers from Zen Salon. I usually cut with Ken and this is primarily an asian salon, meaning they speak cantonese and mandarin(toi san too). Ken is very meticulous with his work and can be very quick at times. The only difficult part is communicating since there’s a language barrier. But he hasnt once messed up my hair from any of the pictures i’ve shown him. men’s cuts are 8 dollars. i usually tip 2. thats an even 10 per hair cut! quite the bargain!
