Drinks good, food okay, service is the worse. Came Saturday night, came in empty room, one worker, took 30−45min to get drinks and food to-go, Only one worker and when I got my change, a dollar was in quarters and they ran out of pennies. Hire more people to help out. The place looks artsy and is extremely quiet so good for college students. People started coming in and filling up the place but they waited longer for their drinks. –Honey Chrysanthemum with aloe was good. –Party wings was mix chipotle, some with garlic cheese, and a regular, they all taste okay not bad. One of the wings was grey and looks not fully cooked, but was smothered in cheese sauce. We tossed it. –Naked fries with Aoli sauce was fresh, plain, and good. Not oily, just right. –Oreo frapp java chip: bf got it and liked it Would I return? No, hate the wait and its not even a restaurant. Drinks to-go should be faster like Starbucks or lolicup at least. Minimum credit card $ 20, no bueno. Free Wi-Fi no password needed. Only reason I know about this place is that Asian rapist/guy who was on the news for misconduct with customers. Shrugs. I don’t know if that explains the empty place.

New ownership? This is not definitely the honey badger I know from 2 years ago. On the upside: a lot brighter, electrical outlet at every booth, easy counter service, and cheaper and larger drinks. On the downside: I don’t get that«we welcome your suggestions to improve your experience» feeling. It’s a awkward«order something or get out.» I get that a lot of students take advantage of free wifi, hog up precious real estate, and drive crowds away. In the end, the lack of variety of menu items is the ultimate deal breaker. Pared down minimal menu is missing the beloved fat badger sandwich, a huge variety of drinks, and homemade ice cream. Despite the limited menu, they still ran out of grapefruit juice and aloe vera!!! The staff’s demeanor matches the menu — listless and apathetic. It’s sad how far this place has fallen. It was dreadfully empty tonight — only 1⁄3 full vs completely full as it use to be on Saturday night. A few words to the people who use this place to study and complain about oh why ONLY2 hours of free wifi, cry me a fucking self entitled river. It’s a FORPROFITBUSINESS and not the public library. Do you think they can make money with the $ 8 you spend on drinks and the 4 hours of time you spend, hogging up a 4-person table with your laptop and books? Check yourself before your wreck yourself. We won’t be back ever unless the menu changes back to what it use to be.

I stopped in because Cha for Tea was closed for some reason, and this place seemed doable. This place was hot, late at night. There was no greeter, instead a sign said to walk to an area to be seen essentially, but that takes a bit for them. The tables are cute though with their little desk lamps. Food oh man. It’s fries or sandwiches. My friend loved her tomato sandwich. My truffle oil fries were soggy and not crisp whatsoever(how do you eff up frying fries?). Service, forget about it. You order once at your table, get a tiny water cup, then spend multiple times walking to and from a water tank refilling this tiny cup, then end up going to the counter to pay. When you do pay, the multiple signs plastered about remind you that if you pay with a card, they will charge you a $ 1 service fee if your bill is under $ 20 which is COMPLETELYILLEGALINTHESTATEOFCALIFORNIA. But of course,(usually) Asian run businesses get away with this type of crap. Avoid this place unless you’re desperate for a study spot.

We all know that the Honey Badger trend had seen its pinnacle and had been on final descent for the last several months. The name of this location, however, is not indicative of the quality or service you’ll receive here. Good Boba drinks in a cool setting sum it up. I don’t know that I’m the target market, but my money spends here just fine, and they seem happy to take it. Parking in the area is tough, but if you’re young and don’t have a crushed pelvis or anything, why not park a block away and walk? You’ll live longer.

I haven’t been back in SoCal for a while so I didn’t get to try this out until now! Right on Main Street! So many new places that popped up like daisies! .:atmosphere:. Nice décor! Very«library» like with desks in the back side of the place consisting of cute little lamps on each table and at every table even in the front, there is an outlet! So I would assume that a lot of people come here to study! Classy chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings. LOVED the art pieces hanging on the walls! Barely anyone there when I visited on a Friday at 12:30pm. ***free wifi*** .:service:. The waitress was very nice and recommended us things since we were new there. She was patient and attentive! **cards accepted only on a minimum of $ 10** .:drinks:. We opted for the regular sizes… And they were HUGE!(Ok please no «that’s what she said jokes) Peach and strawberry green tea $ 3.25: «freshly brewed green tea shaken with bits of real strawberries and real peaches. Also available with black tea!» Pretty good… the first few sips! I would ask for less ice next time though! It tasted a bit watered down after 3 minutes. Loved the drink with aloe because it was quite refreshing! Strawberry lemongrass tea 4.25: strawberry«tea» with fruit jams on the bottom with watermelon bits. Tea… I didn’t really taste at all. The entire top part tasted like straight up water. If you don’t mix super well, it would be super bland. But mix the entire drink well and the fruit jam will do it’s thing in giving the drink some life. It was an interesting drink! Overall, a decent place to have some drinks! Good for studying I would assume, but I wouldn’t know since I didn’t try it out myself. Drinks may need a bit more improvement to have me raving about it!

Honey Badger … you are now just some boba place I used to know. I loved your freshly churned taro ice cream … made from real taro root in small batches … none of these taro powder and stuffs … and it tasted amazing … and cheap($ 2) at the same time. Unfortunately, you guys stop selling taro /durian ice cream and that made me a really, REALLY sad person. So I got no other option and decided to order something else … a boba drink. Almond milk tea(made with real ingredients, no powders, no non-dairy creamer — $ 3.25 + $ 0.50 boba): I was surprised about the drink size, but I wasn’t impressed with the drink itself. Mediocre milk tea with mediocre boba. RIP, 2013 Honey Badger. P. S. — For some reasons, Honey Badger is always one of the more popular studying destination … more than most other boba places in the SGV area.

Other than their hipster like ambiance, I would say that the drinks here are bland and require some innovation. Unlike their competitors, ten RENs or even half and half or tastea, this place has not narrowed down their specialized drink and has focused on trying to do every kind of drink but has unfortunately failed. It would be better to have a more focused menu. The drinks here are also fairly expensive and claim to be made of real fruit jam, well. I’ve never had fake fruit jam. Fruit jam is already made from preservatives so I’m not sure what real fruit jam is… care to specify?! Had their Japanese macha slush and their peach strawberry tea; both were mediocre.

For a place so well known for their Asian inspired tea drinks, I guess I thought the food selections would be equally interesting. I was surprised to find that it was a really small and straightforward menu, with french fries sandwiches, and soups like clam chowder. Though I was disappointed at first, it turns out their sandwiches are actually really tasty. I had the chicken pesto, which honestly sounded so boring on the menu, but it was really fresh and delicious. I still think it’s a weird combo with all of their fruity and fun tea drinks, but they’re doing what they’re doing well at least! The service was really friendly and the server let us sample some teas we were curious about. Though there are signs around the place not to stay and take advantage of their booths, wifi, and outlets too long, when the place is empty in the middle of the day I think it’s ok to linger a while. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the mood for a hot or cold tea that you can’t get everywhere, and give the food options a chance, too!

This place use to be the old internet café ibrowse! Parking can be bad here, but there are a lot of places that you can park. Parking structures on first st, residential area, the parking lot where the cha for tea is and soon they’re building another buildring structure. This place is good for studying. Every time I come here, tables are usually filled with students studying or doing their work on their laptops. They do have signs that if the place gets packed… two or three hour limit here. A friend introduced me to this place 3 years ago and I remember exactly how it was. It was pretty ghetto with a shortened menu on one page. Most of the items were crossed out, so we didn’t have many options to choose from. As years went by, I’ve seen a lot of changes for the good and bad of this place. One step forward –More extensive menu –New chairs and tables –A better looking restroom –Food quality got better One step backwards –Customer service is a hit or miss. At times, you don’t see the servers at all until 4 or 5 minutes later. If we need something or need to tell them something. I literally would have to walk to the cashier area and ask if we can get more napkins, why our drink is taking a long time and etc.(I do remember they use to have a button that use to be connected to the table where if we needed assistance it would signal the waiter or waitress to come over… but they did away with that. I thought that was effective). They do try their best though. I did remember last time one of my drinks took a long time to come. The waitress did tell me, it would be on the house. So I guess that’s good on their part that they know they did wrong. Food– You can’t go wrong with any of their sandwiches. The ones I would recommend are the cuban roast pork, honey mustard chicken sandwich, and the chicken pesto sandwich. I think those are pretty much all of them… I know i’m forgetting some, but those sandwiches that I listed are AWESOME! The sandwiches also come with potato chips! A dollar more you can get soup or potato salad. Drinks– This is another category that doesn’t ever fail. Their drinks are great and you can request how sweet you want your drinks. Natalie’s grapefruit juice that has chia seeds in it. Very refreshing. They also sell virgil’s root beer, Mr. Q cumber, and they have the best durian milk shake and taro milk shake. Yummers!
