It is in a very convenience location on Valley Blvd, and the cross street is Atlantic Ave. This restaurant is kind of small with not too many tables. Their $ 1.99 for 2 pcs of chicken and a biscuit is an unbeatable deal. But, thighs are always fat and oily. It is definitely one of my top five choices for a cheap meal in Alhambra area.

Adrian was annoying. He was trying way too hard to be funny, it took us about twice as long to order our food because he was talking to other customers that wasn’t even work related.

The manager here was rude but the food was delicious. Now I’ll have to look for a different popeyes because I can’t stand the service here. Normally she would ask do you want any sauce after everyone got their food, but she didn’t when I got mine? She was nice to about every body while there was a long line, and when I went in line a second time so that I could get some sauce, she asked me if I needed something in a yelling voice and it was kind of embarrassing because everyone turned around to look at me. She side eyed me a lot while I was in line. –___– I asked for the sauce and she immediately put it out and shouted NEXT without asking me anything else. I felt like I was being called out. I did not get to ask her for napkins. Which should have already been packed in a TOGO order. Then I didn’t want to deal with her when I needed some napkins, so I made my friend go. Somehow she was nicer to him than to me??? I don’t understand what I did wrong. I just wanted some sauce and napkins. I think the manager here discriminates but maybe that’s a stretch. I would love to go here again, but I feel very unwelcome here.

I came here to buy food for my grandparents…(yesterday afternoon) And the two young guys working were very nice, professional and friendly. Their customer service was better then any restaurant I have ever been to! Keep up the good work guys!

I just wanted my fried chicken. To get in and get out but the cashier was playing games and trying to be funny with me. When I came in the cashier, I believe his name was Adrian, was flirting with the customer that he was taking orders from. After they were done, I went up and said my order then he says«I don’t speak English.» Confused. I just repeated my order to realize he was trying to be funny with me. I was pretty annoyed because I just wanted to place my order. At the end of the transaction, I gave him exact change and as I gave my hand out to take my receipt but he also gave me a $ 5 bill. He wanted to trick me into giving me extra change. As I turned back to return the money, he was standing there just laughing. What should’ve taken less then 5 minutes took over 10 minutes. I gave an extra star because there was extra chicken and biscuit in our meal.

Here’s a tip always make sure to check your order before leaving! I made that mistake tonight and didn’t notice my order was missing the biscuits i ordered and *sidenote* my order of mac & cheese had spilled and was all over the chicken until I arrived home. I know it’s usually pretty busy on Tuesdays and Thursdays usually due to their $ 1.49 thigh and leg special, however tonight I beat the crowd coming in and it was just me and one other customer at the time so I don’t know if it was because of the new cashier working, or they become clueless as to what to do when there isn’t a big crowd waiting.

Clean location and nice staff. I don’t visit Popeye’s all that often but my mom has been raving about how good their chicken is(better than KFC even). There’s no drive through for this location and parking spaces seem limited. They have a $ 1.99 leg/thigh deal and it comes with a biscuit. You have a choice for regular or spicy. It’s packaged a bit weird for to go orders though. I don’t know if there’s really a lid they put on top of the chicken tray so it can make for a messy transport. I must say though that the thigh and leg pieces tasted hot and fresh. The crunchy batter was pretty darn good. Plus, the biscuit tasted incredibly buttery. Like, REALLY yummy buttery. The spicy version wasn’t all that spicy. They do give you their packets of Louisiana hot sauce(which we didn’t try). Overall, it was a nice quick affordable snack for $ 1.99!

First time coming to this place. I kind of didn’t want to go in because there was a long line. But good thing I did. The line went by quick thanks to the efficient staff. I came here on a Tuesday during the 2 piece chicken deal(leg and thigh). When you get your receipt back, you can do a survey and get stuff for free. There’s parking but it can get packed sometimes. You can always park in the neighborhood or in the other parking lot if it’s quick. I came during traffic hour. Good thing it wasn’t a pain finding parking or else I would’ve bounced.

good olé Popeyes … it’s what you might expect from a fried chicken place. i just wish they offered any healthy options … like any … at all. Also I wish the employees would be more receptive to my olice oil and sweetpea jokes :/ Honestly have to say I prefer KFC, but once in a while the aroma of chicken permeating from Popeyes just calls to me … though i always leave hating myself for what ive done to my body. Here’s to life regrets! Stay Cheerful ;)

Having been to a Popeye’s in New Orleans, I can say, with no hesitation, that there are ZERO Popeye’s in California that even come close to what I experienced at the«ground zero» of all Popeye’s restaurants. The menu was very limited — none of the extra menu options you’d see in NOLA, but that’s to be expected — we’re not in NOLA(thank God!), so one should temper their expectations a bit(note to self). Anyhow, the restaurant was clean, and the service was decent. The chicken was tasty and fresh, which was nice. I also got an order of shrimp — those were okay. I wouldn’t recommend them, though, not in good conscience. Overall, it was a decent experience. That said, I just don’t see going back to any Popeye’s outside of NOLA. Once you’ve been to the Mecca, it’s really hard to accept anything less than the original.

Got Popeye’s here today for the first time! The chicken is good cause it’s Popeye’s, but their service is terrible! Really? NORESTROOM? Please dont eat here because there is no place for customers to wash their hands! If you dont mind driving home with greasy hands, go ahead and eat here. We ended up pouring water over our hands and just wiping them because there was no other way! The guy at the cashier had a really big«I dont care» attitude. After he took our order, he spoke in the microphone to tell the«cook» what we ordered but the«cook» could not hear from 5 ft for some reason. Their conversation went like this. Cashier: «8 pc family, dark, 1 macaroni & cheese side, one small green beans side.» «Cook»: «8 pc family dark, 1 mashed potatoes»? Cashier: «No.macaroni & cheese and green beans» «Cook»: «What about the mashed potatoes?» Everyone: *face palm* He eventually got our sides right but 2 pieces out of the 8 in our order ended up being white meat when we ordered all dark meat. We were mad but too lazy to get up and tell them because the line was long at the time. The skin is very crispy and not too crispy or too soggy. It’s just perfect in my opinion but I feel like Church’s chicken is more tender. Not sure if they freshly make the things here like Church’s though. After our meal, we got a food coma and didn’t feel very productive. I think I’ll take a nap now.

My family loves fried chicken and I sure do love their chicken because their chicken has a kick to it. They have a special going on for chicken only. I think I got 14 pieces for $ 10 and other smaller portion goes for $ 5 for 7 pieces(leg&thighs only). I got them half & half(mild and spicy). This Popeyes have plenty of parking which I think is shared with Pizza Hut in the same lot. There is only 3 tables where you can sit and eat which is pretty small. Its best to togo your food and eat at home. Ive passed by here many times and is always packed. Especially on tuesdays because of their tuesday specials. Workers here are OK. Some are nicer than the other. But everything is done and goven in prompt manner.

**Tues & Thurs Special: 2 pieces(leg & thigh) for $ 1.29!!! Can’t get that! The chicken is so tasty! Moist, juicy and the skin is extra crispy… Yum! You have a choice of mild or spicy. The spicy is not spicy at all. The biscuits were okay. They are super buttery though. My last batch was hard as a rock =((6pcs/$ 3) Getting there is a pain because they are located at a busy intersection(Valley and Atlantic) and parking spaces are limited.
