Twohey’s is a faithful standby of a restaurant. It’s dependable, maybe a bit predictable, but it’s good and the menu features a lot of options. It’s one of those places that serves breakfast all day, so it’s good for those days when you get out the door late but are still craving breakfast, or for when the group doesn’t agree on whether it wants lunch or breakfast. Or dinner. Someone in the mood for pancakes but someone else wants a club sandwich? Go to Twohey’s. I’ve only been to Twohey’s with my husband on the weekend, usually on Sundays. There’s generally a wait but usually not longer than 20 minutes because the restaurant is pretty large. Service is attentive. The food itself is predictable, but tasty. It’s not a super creative or modern dining experience, but somewhere you can get a decent sandwich or breakfast combo. I’ve had their pancakes and have experienced both better and worse. The menu is vast, with everything from staples like french toast and sausage to tuna sandwiches, burgers, and chicken dishes. I’ve stayed away from the bizarre-sounding clam chowder curry soup though. The desserts, like the cakes and sundaes, are a good way to go. You won’t regret those.

Noticed that the last few times the wait has been longer than expected. Still, this is a nice place to get a solid meal. Parking is horrendous just skip the parking lot and park on the street. Menu is extensive all sorts of stuff: burgers, seafood, pasta and don’t forget about DESSERT, especially the bittersweet chocolate sundae. Service is pretty good but sometimes takes awhile. Prices are average but maybe slightly higher… choose well because the bill could top $ 50 for dinner/dessert. They have nice nostalgic photos and trinkets on the walls. It’s the only place in the local area to get a solid American meal. Try it out!

Now I’ve been coming to twohey’s for some time now and I can’t help but still enjoy it. They have an early bird breakfast that is a good deal for a lot of food. Every month they have a new speciality menu that chef Lalo prepares that adds new twists to favorites. The dew bad things are sometimes it is very crowded and your wait time is about 20 minutes. It shares a parking lot with in n out which makes parking a hassle, but if you find parking make sure to try anyone of the desserts they have. The sundaes are amazing!

They never attempted to resolve any issues. That shows how much they care about their customers.

As a historic landmark, Twohey’s is certainly a must visit hot spot in LA. The parking is quite atrocious as it shares the same lot as in-n-out, but if you’re able to snag a spot, I highly recommend trying one of their milkshakes. My friend and I shared a mint chip and it was heavenly. I think Twohey’s is known for their bittersweet sundae but that will be a tale for a different time!

I like this place generally, like a nicer Denny’s feel to it, especially the salads but today the Lindsay salad(Asian salad) tastes like greens with oil, that’s all, no flavor at all. On their defense, by far this place has the best tasting(Asian salad) anywhere.

My nephew Ian works here, so I admit I am a little biased… However, they have unbeatable desserts, a menu the harkens back to the 1950s, and has atmosphere that’s all about family. Strongly recommend this wonderful diner to anybody who likes an amazing menu, comfort food, and a good feeling of family while they sit down to eat.

You could say that Twohey’s is hidden in plain sight. It’s at the corner of a very busy intersection, but it shares a parking lot with In-n-Out. Yikes is how I would describe parking. There are a few dedicated spots for this restaurant, however. This family-style restaurant is a fun place to gather. There are plenty of food choices that you seemed pretty good. The one thing that surprised me was they also serve burgers. They are definitely not afraid of some competition! I was impressed by the number of new items they introduce. It shows that they adapt to changing tastes and culture well. That explains why they have been around so long and can thrive right next to In-n-Out. On my latest visit, I had the Kansas City pork ribs and fried chicken. The ribs were tender and the sauce seemed commercial(not bad; just didn’t jump out). Crispy fries came with the ribs. The chicken was well-seasoned and came with a side of lightly steamed carrots, zucchini and young broccoli. They were not cooked to death, so they were delicious.

Apparently this place has been around for a very long time and they serve great traditional American Food. I think I would give it another try but waiting for all the courses to come out just took a little too long. The food wasn’t really hot, not even close to warm and the service keep forgetting random things like forgetting to serve one customer or forgetting to give me a knife etc. I have to say I went for a Gogobot event here so they catering was covered by Three Sisters Catering LA so I’m not quiet sure how it normally is at this place.

This is a very family friendly restaurant. The kids menu had a lot of choices including chicken tenders, spaghetti, hamburger, grilled cheese sandwich and more! The décor was a throwback to the fifties, with fun geometric hanging lamps and a vintage color palette of white, burnt orange and teal throughout the restaurant. A retro diner setting in its truest form. This restaurant also does catering by the name of «Three Sisters Catering» which I would highly recommend.

Coming here quite a few times because friends wanted to come here. They told me there is lobster here. What we ordered is lobster rolls and not too shabby either. I could eat three of these rolls but I refrained. Tonight, we have been invited for a tasting at a GoGoBot to try their menu for #ThreeSistersCateringLA. We have met the Chef Lalo Talamantes and the General Manager, Bill, who told us a little history of who Twohey’s is and their Stinko nickname for their burger. This restaurant is pretty big with enough room for a banquet in the back room. This GoGoBot Blogger Dinner Menu starts with an Autumn Salad. Baby Frisée, Radicchio and Tuscan kale salad with roasted organic red beets, roasted pumpkin, praline pecas, Gorgonzola and maple-balsamic vinaigrette. Entrees continue with Risotto con Zucca. Carnaroli rice simmered with roasted butternut squash, pumpkin purée, toasted walnuts and Sultana golden raisins. Served over tomato coulis and finished with brown butter-sage. We have a choice of New Zealand Lamb Chops or Angus tenderloin Medallions. Both served the same way with pomegranate and Ouzo reduction, mint, fresh raspberries and pomegranate seeds served with fingered baby carrots and sweet potato au gratin. Awaiting the dessert dish after the entrees is painful too. Crema Bruciata that has spiced pumpkin and walnut liquor panna cotta with caramelized sugar top. This evening is still going with tickets for a raffle and many prizes to come.

This place is located on a busy triangular corner of Huntington, Atlantic, and Garfield. It is easy to find and spacious. The only tricky thing is the parking lot(small) but there is street parking too! The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional! In addition to the restaurant there is catering service from Three Sisters! Awesome presentation and delectable creations! Have to try it!

2.5 stars… We have seen this joint in passing for many years and decided we better give it a shot. We started out with the Greek salad. Packed with romaine and all the good veggies in a nice vinaigrette… very good! We also split the rueben and were disappointed. The sauerkraut was not drained properly and made the bottom soggy. We ordered the garlic fries and were underwhelmed there as well as they were Soggy and lacking the garlic flavor we were expecting. They also put the pickle under the fries… who wants pickle flavored soggy fries, or a warm pickle?!? Our last decision was a good one as we decided to try the hot fudge sundae as recommended on Unilocal, and weren’t disappointed. The caramel and hot fudge were both good and the ice cream was dense. My only complaint was that for a «large» sundae it was smaller than expected. Ambiance is 50’s diner. Price was in line with expectation, but food quality was below them. We might come back for ice cream and give this place another shot, but it does not make the list

This restaurant used to be a favorite for me back in the day, when I loved getting balloon animals. In high school, I think I came to eat here about 3 – 4 times a month because it was convenient and delicious, and we’d have gatherings here as well. However, I must say I’m disappointed with the quality of the food and the service now. First of all, we waited for ~10 minutes yet no one was really in the restaurant. When we asked when we were going to be seated, they were like«oh» and brought us in immediately… it’s like they forgot about us? Got the baby back ribs and chicken noodle soup, which weren’t as good as before. Maybe they changed the chef, but I don’t think I’ll be back here for a while.

Brunch on Thursday, 8÷13÷15 They share the same parking lot as In-N-Out burgers at the cross streets of Atlantic/Garfield/Huntington Drive. It gets pretty crowded there but look for the designated Twohey’s parking spots. There was no line for brunch on a weekday. The place looks clean with a mini store inside that sells random items. We were seated in a booth and the server came by frequently to assist us. I visited this location a very long time ago and can’t remember my experience. This time, we asked for recommendations. There are too many to list. I decided to order the buffalo wings to make room for their famous award winning hot fudge sundae. The wings are served unsauced so you can freely dip either the buffalo or the root beer BBQ sauce. It also comes with ranch or blue cheese and some veggies. The chocolate sundae was delicious. Maybe because I haven’t had ice cream in a while but the roasted nuts were really tasty. The whipped cream wasn’t that great to me but everything else came together and tasted good. I noticed other items on the menu that sounds new to me. I would probably come back again to try the different sandwiches, burgers, onion rings, desserts, and brunch meals such as the orange french toast and hopefully try the weekday breakfast deals for about $ 5. So many goodies.

I drive by Twohey’s TWICE a day, and hadn’t stopped in for the 6+ years I’ve known about it’s existance. I don’t know why I waited so long! I smelled the onion rings from the parking lot right when we got out of the car. My friend and I split the onion rings, fries and chicken strip appetizers. The fries were AMAZING, unfortunately, the onion rings were barely battered, or the battered crust had fallen off. Can’t complain about the chicken strips, but they only gave us 4 chicken strips for $ 8… That’s TWO dollars per chicken strip, that’s crazy. I would understand if it came with fries, but it didn.t. We bought the fries separately for about $ 4… We thought we would be saving $$$ by ordering off the appetizer menu, but we were dead wrong. So let me tell you about the Bittersweet Chocolate Sundae… BYGOLLYMISSMOLLY, probably the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth– and I don’t say that lightly! The experience is certainly unique. First few bites, I didn’t know what to think. I was overcome by both the bitter chocolate, the sweet ice cream and the crunchy almond sprinkle… definitely will be back for the sundae… probably after work today… Even though it’s $ 7 for a SMALL. #thestruggleisreal Parking is a nightmare. It shares a lot with IN ‘N’ OUT! They do have some spots reserved for Twohey’s customers.

Went here on a Saturday on July 25, 2015 with my girlfriend Pamela and her friend Emily. It was only like 100 degrees out today. While the restaurant is kind of cute, it’s modern and made to look old with the old school modern light fixtures and old style photos. The original store in Pasadena is gone. I ordered a lobster club and received the lobster roll($ 19.95). I did not send it back even though it was $ 4 more than the lobster club. Our server May K. Insisted that I ordered the lobster roll so I wasn’t going to argue the fact. My friend Emily backed me up on this too! I wasn’t going to argue too much as I did want the lobster roll, but was kind of looking forward to the lobster club as it included bacon. The lobster roll was very good. Not too much mayo and just the right amount of celery and the bread was toasted perfectly. The kettle fried chips were really good also. I also had a cherry Coke. My friend Emily had the #7 Everything burger $ 8.95 with onion rings for an extra $ 3.95. She shared a bite with me of her burger. The burger was very good and flavorful and much better than a lot of «burger» places that I have been to. She ordered a carrot salad. It was slightly sweet and very good. My girlfriend Pamela had the Monte Cristo sandwich $ 8.95 and included a potato salad. OMG, the sandwich was very good! One of the best ones I’ve had. The bread was light and eggy with a slightly sweet custard taste. I would definitely recommend this sandwich. Served with warm syrup is the bomb! The potato salad was kind of meh. Not much flavor. All in all we alI did enjoy our meals, but it could have been a five star experience if our waitress could have been a little nicer and not questioning the customer’s decisions. What happened to the customer is always right? While May was very efficient in refilling our drinks and checking in on us, she was not what I would call overly friendly.

Yummm this place is pretty good! How come we have never came to this place before?! Always see this place in the corner or huntington and atlantic whenever we go to In-n-out but never bother to try this place out until this past weekend. My Bf and I were craing something a little healthy with eggs for breakfast. As we were driving up on Atlantic i pointed this place out and my BF suggested we should try it. We parked and waited 5 minutes for our table. We ordered the orange french toast & the San Gabriel Omelette to share. it was very good and tasty! This is almost like a dennys and Ihop but more of a family owned business which i support small business. We loved this place and cant wait to come back to try their other items on the menu!

Diners are hot! Diners are back! It’s hard to find a good diner in El-Lay. But a diner with a weird name like Twohey’s otherwise known as 2EEs is priceless! It’s sounds like going to an engineering class. First, the vibe to the place is a bit like Jetsons, I love anything Jetsons… shut up! But wait… I can get Sriracha on my fries and a good burger that doesn’t break the bank. And they serve sweet potato fries and real potato chips. Yep I’m coming back here. I heard the breakfasts are good too. I had a nice bloooooo cheese, crumbly cheese, bacon burger which came with fries and a drink. Ummmmmmm… I had the most delicious sundae for dessert. Yep, Im coming back here. When I was here, 10 people, I kid you not, came and ordered sundaes/shakes/burgers… yep, I’m coming back here. Diners are back and I’m a fan of 2EEs. Visits: 2 Tip: Oh come visit this joint already. Lots of reviews… to top it all off, the famous bittersweet chocolate sundae calms my day even the maddest of Sundays ha. ha. ha.
